Balancing the Warrior 5
"You are fired. Full refund expected this week. Legal action pending."
Just trying it on for size as the text I will send if Monday brings evidence of still more Honey Do from the contractor. No, dear, I ain't your honey and a honey done storage shed ain't gonna cut it for an aeroponics lab and rooftop garden.
Been reviewing options for somebody to come in and clean up the demolition mess this asshole has left in my yard for six fucking weeks. I need a vacation before I attempt to reinitialize the bidding process, so the lab/rooftop garden dream is going to be put on hold for yet another indefinite period while I get that too long awaited family time in Texas.
My ideal remains restoration of the faith I had in the man on the day he cashed my check back in November and I pray for enough balance in my anger to leave room for that, but. . . As of today, I donae have enough faith to risk another round of whatever-the-fuck you want to call this revolting dance.
My self-confidence is severely battered, but I believe I am holding steady through the storm. Using all available support and tools. . .

I think you are holding strong, arfie. You have more than enough reason to validate your feelings at this point and you have been total grace under pressure. I am glad to see that if your faith turns out to be misplaced in this half@ss contractor, that you will make the first priority some much needed time with your family before tackling the project into continuation. Triple hugs and still crossing fingers that your faith is not for nothing.
Thank you Nancy. Support appreciated.
My gratitude for the day is the beautiful, clear sunshine outside. My first wish would be to enjoy that sunshine while continuing the project here, but I need some distance between my heart and that moldering demolition pile.
Hubs was in my hardest to interpret vocal range this morning, but I went for the ear tickle, anyway. I'm not focusing enough to listen well, anyway. He decided he wants to call the contractor. Leaving the sexism out of it, the contractor and I have been doing this spiel for long enough that a fresh voice might poke some holes in that stonewall. He, too, is glad I am going to make some family time a priority over starting from scratch on the aeroponics lab/rooftop garden. Gotta get that demolition pile moved before I go, though. That disgrace is downright unneighborly.
faith does have very strange dance steps in my world. 'if' I were an author type of writer, the story of my costly dance that I paid the cash for almost a year ago but has a story that could go back decades and well into the future, would be a very twisted sister (me) fable.
I hope you can use your fable by early spring to tell all your little seedlings how they found their home on your roof top.
enjoy the dance, even your broken toes have their part in the story.
Yeah removal of the eyesore will also go a long way in letting you enjoy the sun again too, until you get home for much needed warmth. Triple hugs
The old building was an eyesore. The moldering demolished remains of the eyesore are a health and safety hazard which grows more toxic by the day. Literal toxic. Not to be confused with toxic people metaphors.
Eewwwe. Well that’s really not good. Sending extra good luck wishes for its removal soon. Hugs
Praying for the best positive outcome. Supporting hugs Arfie. xx
