Balancing the Warrior
My core support network is validating the end of my tolerance for the contractor yaddah blahs. We are in full breach of contract and I am still being stone-walled like a blue haired honey. "I'll get to it when I get to it, Honey Pie. I promise."
While I am still leaving room for the last week-old promise of work beginning in earnest this week, my faith is nowhere near what it was when my check was cashed over 2 months ago. I am ready to shower off the Honey Do slime. Time to shit or get off the pot, Bubba. Still, anger is an unpredictable emotion which seldom nets desireable solutions.
I am working to balance the warrior this morning. Works in progress. . .

This morning's request for information was brisk. It is a relief that I received requested info, but less than thrilling that the information included another week of delay. The quiet voice whispered, "Tolerance." Texted back a brisk thank you and a further request for copies of all paperwork.
Still going on the research of how to handle a contractor rip-off in between works to balance the warrior.
Reminds me of how my ex's older brother built the younger brother's house. I didn't realize that it had already been 2 months...I'd be out of patience too.
Bad weather explains allot of it, but nowhere near all of it. . . A bit of potentially good news is that the weather is forecast to hold steady next week.
Prayers in progress. . .
Pryers and support, in all ways, Arfie.
This is the point atwhich I point out to contractors that I have allowed for bad weather, but if the best they can tell me is "oh well, wait"? Then tell me how long, and why. Are tehre people in line ahead of me? If so, how many? Can they recommend someone who'll start the job *when promised*? If they're so behind, after all.... It's a bitch move but I've gotten from "you're on the schedule" to "we'll start tomorrow" with such a tactic. Keep it brisk, keep it calm, and keep it clear that they're not the only game in town. That may not work for you, but I'm familarly contemptuous of the tricks of the trade (literally: Family), so .... They work for you, not the other way around. And you don't need to keep them working if you decide enough's more than enough and it's time to trek elsewhere.
Geesh I would be all warrior no balance so kudos to you friend for exercising such control. Crossing all the fingers and toes that they start this week for you. Triple hugs
