I hope I can balance the needs of the second son in rehab against the total attempt to distance from the first son who is relapsing again. It's hard to separate the emotions. feelings, disappointments. They all run together.
I\'m going to be the slowest person ever to progress in my growth in Alanon, but I\'m glad to be doing it. Sharing is hard; I don\'t want to feel like I\'m bothering anyone. Still, I\'ve already had some moments of insight and reflection that have surprised me. Don\'t know if I\'ll ever feel free to call people or pick a sponsor.
In your huge effort to do the right thing for your sons don\'t forget to take care of YOU!! I have never been to alanon but know a few that have been from AA and I think its much like us here--part of our healing is to be able to help others--so you won\'t be a bother--take the hand thats offered!!
