baking friday! :) calling all cookie monsters and SUPERBOWL fans!!! :) hehe! : )cookie monsters, and PATRIOTS and SEAHAWKS FANS!!! hehe! :) Cookie monsters, and SUPERBOWL fans unite!!! :) it's baking friday! :) oh my! :) a super fun, and super sweet, annual KITCHEN BOWL SUPERBOWL themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen!!! :) Welcome, to TEAM CAKE vs TEAM FROSTING! :) it's on! it's on! :) The kitchen gridiron is set, for the big matchup, for our annual KITCHEN BOWL!!! :) it's SUPERBOWL TIME!!! :) ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!! :) We had an awesome, and sweet time today, baking a Superbowl cake! :) Congratulations to the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS and SEATTLE SEAHAWKS, SUPERBOWL 49, is all set, and ready for this sunday's, big SUPERBOWL sunday celebration day! :) PATRIOTS FANS! YOU READY!!! SEAHAWKS FANS! YOU READY!!! SUPERBOWL FANS!!! YOU READY! :) it's time for the BIG GAME! :)
We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today Kayla, Mikey, and i baked a Superbowl themed cake :) our annual, Superbowl themed baking friday, KITCHEN-BOWL! :) it's one of our favorite adventures of the year :) it's that time of the year, the SUPERBOWL matchup is all set. :) for Superbowl 49, it's the Patriots vs Seahawks :) an incredible journey, both teams, making it this far :) AFC, and NFC champions, will be taking the field on sunday, and playing for superbowl history, and Superbowl glory :) it's gonna be absolutely incredible! :) my family and i are thrilled, about the big game, and celebrating with everyone :) There's so many awesome things, about superbowl weekend, and sunday, that makes it a great day, to celebrate with family, friends, and football :) from the cooking, to the baking, to the excitement of the superbowl national anthem, the coin toss, kick-off, the commercials, and the big game, to declare a winner, and superbowl champion :) it's so neat, and it's gonna be a thrilling game, these 2 teams, are the top 2, and are gonna be playing, for that Lombardi Trophy, and the Superbowl Ring :)
my family and i hope ev eryone is doing well, and having a nice day :) a quick update, on my mom. She was feeling dehydrated yesterday, and this morning too. She went into the hospital this morning around 10am, and was there for a few hours. She got fluids/IV, and she also got a chest x-ray. She is ok, and my dad was with her, and i looked after things here at home. my mom came home, around 2pm. :) She's alright, and is taking it easy, and resting :) We were very worried about her. She had that flu/cold last week, and hasn't gotten back to 100%. She's gonna lay down early tonight, and is gonna keep her fluids up, by drinking water, pediasure, and also powerade. :) i was so relieved, when my mom texted me, and told me she is coming home :)
during the early morning, i went outside, to put some goodies around our yard, on our front yard bird feeder, and the nature bird sanctuary in our yard :) it was snowing here this morning, there was a 2 hour school delay. it didn't snow much, thankfully. :) i gathered our baking friday football decorations, and ventured out into our kitchen, to begin setting up, and decorating our kitchen, for our super fun adventure :) i've had my mom in my thoughts a lot today, and also Holly too, as Holly moved into her new place today, her brother who is visiting, helped her, and she is settling into her new place :) my mom, god bless her heart, when she got home today, she asked about Holly, and i told her, all is well, and Holly's been texting me, for updates on my mom's condition too :)
Decorating our kitchen this morning ,i did a huge decorative football display, turning our kitchen into a football field gridiron :) i cooked a nice lunch, and during the early afternoon, i spent some time here on ds, writing to friends. :) it helped keep me comforted, as i awaited news, about my mom's condition. When she arrived home, i was relieved :) i went back out into our kitchen, around 3pm :) Jenn and Mikey came over, around that time :) Mikey was happy to see his nana! :) awww! :) he tossed the football around with me for a little while, and shortly after that, Kayla and Taylynn arrived home from school :) We were gearing up, for our super fun baking friday adventure :) i turned the oven on :) Each week, we get lots of nice use, from our baking friday supplies :) i've been wearing my nice new aprons, plus all of our oven mits, kitchen towels, hot mats, and other supplies too, always come in very handy, for our baking and cooking adventures, each friday, and throughout the week :) our kitchen was all set, and ready, and we were all set and ready too :) throughout the course of the day, i texted with friends, to wish them a happy baking friday :) it was time to bake! bake! bake! :)
Kayla, Mikey, and i began our super fun adventure! :) i love to mention to my family, about all of the nice foods, and goodies you all cook, and bake throughout the week :) i always love to think of us all with eachother in spirit, in our kitchens :) we began to prepare the chocolate cake :) We used chocolate cake, as it's so nice, and awesome! :) i said to Kayla, "pick out the best 2 eggs ever!" :) Kayla loves to pick out the eggs :) We added the ingredients into the KITCHEN-BOWL, and began to super stir :) i asked Mikey who he thought is gonna win the superbowl, he said, PATRIOTS! :) awww! :) he's got a cool Patriots sweatshirt :) we were having a fun time, mixing up the chocolate cake, and i used butter to grease the baking pan :) it's amazing, how today is our 7th annual, Superbowl themed baking friday adventure :) our 3rd adventure, featuring the Patriots in the superbowl :) Superbowl 42, 46, and now superbowl 49. :) very cool! :)
We poured the chocolate cake mix into the baking pan, and i put the cake into the oven to bake :) the nice scent of chocolate cake baking, filled our kitchen :) as the cake was baking, we mixed up the colored frostings :) We had red, and blue, and green we made, plus kept some white frosting for decorating :) we did some cleaning up in the kitchen, and took a break, while the cake finished baking :) once the cake was done, i brought it out of the oven to cool down :) We were all hanging out, Mikey and Taylynn watched some cool videos on Taylynn's computer :) i made a sandwich wrap, for snack, and also was having my blueberry iced coffee :) this morning, my sister Lisa treated me to a nice blueberry iced coffee :) it's so nice of her :)
When the cake had finished cooling down, it was time to decorate! :) We first spread green frosting for the field part of the cake :) We then made the Patriots endzone area of the cake, red and white, and we made the Seahawks endzone area of the cake, blue and white :) we also used white frosting, to make the yard markers on the football field :) the cake came out great! :) i put pictures around the cake, of Patriots fans, and Seahawks fans :) plus, our local newspaper this morning included some awesome collectible superbowl booklets, and pullouts, very cool! :) We had lots of fun baking the superbowl cake :) i thanked Kayla and Mikey for helping :) We're gonna have some cake this weekend, for dessert, and enjoying the superbowl :) a very special shoutout, to family and friends, lots of cooking, and baking this week :) with winter season in full swing, it's so nice, to get the kitchen nice and cozy warm, cooking, and baking :) Superbowl 49 themed cake, dedicated to our wonderful family, friends, and to the Patriots and Seahawks :) We love you all so very very much! :) many great memories made, to always cherish, and treasure :) baking friday, we love it!!! :) January 30th, 2015 :) Happy baking friday, and happy superbowl sunday everyone! :)
