"Summer Time!"- my niece Kayla said that today, during baking friday! :)
baking friday! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's baking friday! :) oh my! :)A sweet fun, wholesome, SUMMER HARVEST themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen!!! :) We got String beans Casserole! :) fresh Garden Salsa! :) come on over, for a feast of delicious goodies, fresh harvested from our summer gardens! :) awww! :) This is awesome!!! and so much fun, and a very rewarding time, in the gardening season :) today, our gardens are a BIG part of our baking friday adventure, as we celebrate our annual Summer Harvests themed baking friday :) The fresh delicious goodies, harvested from the gardens :) from sun ripened tomatoes, to the joys of hot peppers, and nice fresh garden crisp string beans! :) It's a GARDEN PARTY!!! and FEAST! :) We love harvesting time, and are absolutely thrilled, and so very thankful, for these wonderful nature joys :) we LOVE our gardens! :) We wish you all could come over, to enjoy some baking friday goodies with us :)
We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) i'm smiling and smiling :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today Kayla and i baked a String beans casserole, and made fresh homemade garden salsa :) We used delicious fresh harvested goodies from our gardens, to make the delicious foods today :) it's so very heart-felt, and heart warming, the joys of gardening, the rewarding feeling of pure happiness, peace, and excitement, of tending the plants, throughout the season :) a season that began with golden sunny spring spirit, and a gardening dream in our hearts, and has flourished, and blossomed beautifully, all season, with our love, spirit, and energy, spirit soaring, and putting so much into the garden, that has given us so much back, including wonderful memories, sweet rewards of fruits and vegetables, and many many sunny smiles :)
It's sweet classic, and golden days of the summer season! :) There's so many wonderful things going on, as the plants have been in full growing mode :) overnight, they soaked up some nice rain nourishment, that is very nature replenishing :) i always love to see the plants, after a good raining, as they always seem to super mega grow! :) We've been so very blessed, in recent weeks, and leading up to our baking friday adventure today, picking nice string beans, tomatoes, and peppers :) There's just something so very wholesome, and wonderful, about the rewarding joys of picking goodies from the gardens, and seeing the goodies in the fridge :)bowls of string beans, bowls of tomatoes, and peppers :) Gardening is an amazing part, of our lives :) We get so much, from our gardens each season, and our experiences, of gardening :) my mom and dad, have been so thrilled, about us having lots of tomatoes, and peppers, plus the string beans, i've been having string beans in my salads, almost every day :)
These are some of the most incredible days, of summer gardening : )We love to bring you all right there with us in spirit, during our adventures in our yard, and gardens :) This morning, we had a sweet new day, rising and shining, with some very nice nourishing rain in our area :) it's so nice, when it rains like this, it's like the plants, are recieving a drink, from nature :) i've been thinking of all of our wonderful nature friends, especially the bumble bees, who have been pollenating our plants, and gardens all throughout the season :) Those happy buzzy bees, sure are great garden friends :) They do a lot for our plants, and are one of the very special reasons, we get to enjoy harvesting goodies :) We love the bumble bees, and i just have to have a very special shoutout for them, here in my journal today :) we appreciate all of this amazing nature :) We're so happy, to celebrate it with everyone :)
This morning, i wished Kayla, Taylynn, and our family, a happy baking friday, and shared with them, your lovely happy baking friday wishes :) Thank you angel friends! :) You all are so nice, and sweet :) We've been looking forward to our adventure all week :) yesterday, i picked a half bucket full of string beans, for our adventure today :) i also picked a few more ripe tomatoes :) We've been freezing jalapeno peppers, and bell peppers, from our gardens :) it's so special to us, having these nice goodies, to enjoy, in our baking friday fun today :) i enjoyed my early morning nature walk, as i checked in on the plants, putting goodies all around our yard, for our nature animal friends :) it was still raining lightly outside :) the peaceful calm of the early morning, as you hear the raindrops upon the happy smiling plants :) it's a peaceful sounds of heavenly nature :) i checked all of our plants, they are doing great, and the gourds plants are growing WILD!!! : )woot! :) i am so very happy, excited, and thrilled! :) The Sunflowers, spirit dancing, and i saw more string beans ready to be picked! :) The harvesting season is in full swing :)
We have a very special shoutout, and thank you, for my dear, and lovely mom and dad :) they went shopping yesterday, and picked up 2 cans of mushroom soup, and french fried onions :) Thank you mom and dad, so very much! :) we were all set, and ready for the big baking friday adventure today : )Around mid-morning, i gathered our baking friday supplies, and went out into our kitchen and began to set up, and decorate our kitchen, for our super fun adventure :) Today, i decorated our kitchen with a Lighthouses/Seaside theme :) it looked awesome! :) i put our tomatoes, and string beans on the side-counter :) We're so proud of our harvest, and have so much more to look forward to harvesting this season : )from potatoes, to pears, to more beans, tomatoes, peppers, and gourds pumpkins, plus our grapes, and cucumbers :) the season continues to flourish wonderfully :) i cooked a nice lunch, and early afternoon, i enjoyed some nice time here on ds, writing to friends :) Around 2pm, i went back out into our kitchen, to begin getting everything set, for our baking friday adventure :) Mikey's having a big summer, and their schedules have changed, Jenn got a new job, at domino's pizza, and with the adventures they've had, Mikey's been out and about a lot this summer season, but we believe, during the fall/winter season, he will join in on some baking friday adventures :) today, Taylynn was at her mom's place, my niece Alyssa and with the triplets too :) it was just Kayla and i in the kitchen today, but still lots of fun, and we think of Taylynn and Mikey, and look forward to them joining in on some more adventures soon :)
Each week, my family and i are so excited, we get to use our nice baking friday supplies, we have recieved, from friends, from all around the world, over the years :) our aprons, oven mits, kitchen towels, hot mats, and all of our supplies, are always a very special part of our baking friday adventures, and we also use the supplies, on other days too, when we're cooking :) it's so nice, having these special kitchen supplies :) You all are always right there with us in spirit, during our adventures :) i texted friends throughout the day, to wish them a happy baking friday :) our kitchen was all set, and ready, and we were all set, and ready :) calling all cookie monsters! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! and cook! :)
Kayla and i began our super fun adventure! :) We first began to prepare the fresh homemade garden salsa :) in our gardens this season, we've grown many varieties of tomato plants. :) We love to make this nice salsa, each summer season :) we're stocked up on nice canning jars, for when we make salsa, and other goodies, like pickles :) i sliced the tomatoes, i had the cooking pot on the stove, on medium heat :) i began to add the tomatoes, and also a nice sliced onion, into the cooking pot :) i love the many nice steps, that goes into making fresh homemade garden salsa :) we used about 6 or 7 jalapeno peppers: ) they are a hot spicy pepper, we love to use these peppers, along with bell pepper, to give our salsa a nice spice,not too hot, not too medium, just right :) i be very careful, while i cut the hot peppers, as the hot peppers can burn my hands, so i make sure i wash my hands right after cutting the peppers :) We also add in some nice cans of tomato paste, this helps thicken up the salsa :) perfect for dipping with chips, mmm mmm! :) we were enjoying our adventure, my mom and dad were checking in on the baking friday adventure today, coming out into the kitchen : )Kayla was talking about back to school soon, and also our upcoming Fall harvest/September baking friday adventures :)
The salsa was cooking nicely. :) i love the scent of salsa cooking :) it makes me want to have some chips, salsa, and baked salsa tortilla wraps :) yum! :) as the salsa was simmer cooking nicely, we began to prepare the string beans casserole :) Kayla and i were cutting the ends of the string beans off, they are easy to pluck off, without using a knife. i then put all of the beans, into a bowl, and washed the string beans, with warm water :) as we prepared the goodies today, i was thinking of family, friends, the joys of summer time gardening, the plants :) it's awesome! :) i mention to my family, about the nice goodies and meals, you all cook, and bake : )We're always with eachother in spirit, in our kitchens :) after washing the string beans with warm water, i then sliced the beans into portions :) Kayla and i then put the beans, into a nice casserole baking dish :)
We then poured 2 cans of mushroom soup, on top of the string beans, Kayla put some pepper in the casserole dish, i stirred it a bit, we then added in, 1 half cup of half and half creamer :) we stirred in some nice french fried onions, yum! :) i then put the string beans casserole into the oven to bake! bake! bake! :) as the string beans casserole was baking, and salsa continuing to cook, we did some cleaning up in the kitchen :) i was hanging out, with my mom, dad, and Kayla :) i stirred the salsa from time to time :) i tried some of the salsa, with a spoon, wow! it came out really good! :) Delicious! :) the salsa cooked for a good hour on the stove :) i then got the canning jars set :) i put a spoon/fork/butterknife into the jars, while using a laddle to put the salsa into the jars, this helps protect the jars, from the hot salsa :) i then sealed each salsa jar :) We have 4 nice jars of salsa, fresh from the garden :)
The string beans casserole baked for about 45 minutes :) it came out really good! :)i tried a fork full of the casserole, wow! :) it's awesome!!! :) my dad and i are looking forward to having some chips/crackers, with salsa, and i want to make some baked salsa tortilla wraps :) i also love to put salsa on top of my baked potatoes :) Kayla and i had lots of fun, baking the string beans casserole, and making the fresh garden salsa today :) we love baking friday, and all of the great memories being made :) i thanked Kayla for helping bake, and cook : ) There's many more super fun baking friday adventures to look forward too :) a very special shoutout to family and friends :) Lots of cooking, and baking this week :) Thank you all for joining us in our kitchen each week, and for welcoming us into your kitchens :) This is so much fun, and very special :) String Beans Casserole, and Fresh homemade Garden Salsa : )Dedicated to our wonderful family, friends, the spirit of summer season, and gardening :) We love you all so very very much! :) many great memories made, to always cherish, and treasure :) baking friday! :) we love it!!! :) August 22nd, 2014 : )Happy baking friday everyone! :)
PRAYERS REQUEST. my family and i have a special prayers request, for our dear friends DC (DCUK) and her dog Pippa. DC has been experiencing a very emotional time, and also has experienced stress, as she's very worried about her pet, Pippa, that's been at the Vets hospital for pets in recent days. Pippa's condition has been stabilized, and she is back home, with DC, resting, and healing. we all know, how very special, and precious pets are, and how they become a big part of our family's. please keep DC and Pippa, in your thoughts and prayers, and please send healing energy their way. We're enjoying a beautiful SUMMER HARVEST themed day! :) baking friday! :) We love it!!! :) my family and i are doing well, and are in good spirits :) we're so very happy, excited, and very thankful, to have the wonderful blessing, of being able to experience wonderful days, weeks, and times like this, celebrating in all of the spirited times with everyone :) There's lots of great things going on, and many special memories being made :) it's been a big week, discovering nature/gardening joys, awesome mail deliveries, and golden days of summer, shining brightful, and delightful :) The weekend is arriving with lots of spirit also :) we're excited about the weekend :) my family and i are going to go shopping this upcoming weekend :) i'd love to go to the dollar store, and maybe our local walmart too :) i want to continue to see, the new halloween items, and decorations our dollar store is putting on the shelves :) i want to buy some gifts, goodies, and treasures :) also this weekend, there's always a chance we may go for a car ride, to get a nice iced coffee :) i've been feeling spirit soaring excitement, in my heart, and spirit every day this week :) i look forward to sharing our weekend adventures with everyone, in my weekend journals, with lots of new pictures :) There's many more great things to look forward too :) Tonight, i'm going to call our dear friend Holly :) We love to talk, and watching episodes of Most Haunted on the youtube website :) it's our paranormal shows night :) Thank you angel friends, so very much, for all that you do for us :) You all are wonderfully nice, and sweet :) We deeply appreciate everything, with all of the love of our hearts :) BIG GROUP FRIENDSHIP HUG :) We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful weekend :)

GARDEN HARVEST! :) we've got lots of nice tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, bell peppers, and string beans, from our gardens :) We love using fresh goodies from our garden, as a special part of our annual Summer harvests themed baking friday adventure :) It's a very special, wholesome, and rewarding time in the season :) Fresh Garden Goodies :) We had the goodies all set, and ready to begin making the special summer harvest treats :)



We brought some nice frozen peppers, Jalapeno and Bell peppers out of the freezer :) these are from our garden :)


We used a nice cooking pot, for the salsa :) i sliced the tomatoes, peppers, and onion, and put them into the cooking pot, to begin simmer cooking :)i love the scent of salsa cooking :) It's Garden Fresh :)

we like to add a couple cans of tomato paste into the salsa, to thicken up the salsa :)

As the salsa was cooking, Kayla and i then began to prepare the string beans casserole :) i picked a half bucket full of string beans yesterday, from the garden :) We prepared the beans, gave the beans a good rince with the warm water, and then put the beans into the casserole dish :)
We poured 2 cans of nice mushroom soup, onto the beans, we stirred, added in a nice half cup of half and half cream milk, and then sprinkled pepper :) We also stirred in, the french fried onions :) mmm mmm! :)
The string beans casserole was baking nicely in the oven :) we baked it for a good 45 minutes :) our kitchen was nice and cozy warm :)
i tried the salsa, it came out great! :) i used a laddle spoon, to put the salsa into the canning jars :) we have 4 nice jars of salsa : )
