baking friday! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's baking friday!!! :) oh my! :) a super fun, and spirited, Memorial Day holiday weekend themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen!!! :) with a very special salute, to all of our brave men and women, who have served our country, and past, present, and future :) Today's baking friday adventure is dedicated to them, family, friends, and to the spirit of the holiday weekend :) We had a wild, and super fun time today baking some nice goodies :) We had the flour flying through the air in the kitchen, and sharing lots of smiles :) The holiday weekend is arriving with lots of spirit :) come on over, to enjoy some baking friday goodies! :)
We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today Kayla, Mikey, Jacob, Brayden, Colby, and i baked some nice Stars and Stripes Patriotic Sugar Cookies for baking friday :) We've been looking forward to baking, and celebrating the holiday weekend :) It's a very special time of the year :) as we all get ready, to celebrate the big holiday weekend, we're with eachother in spirit :) my family and i will be thinking of you all often this weekend :) It's that time of the year, the joy of spring season, and a blossoming countdown to summer season :) The sun is shining, and the spirit is soaring and glowing all around :)
We hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying a beautiful day :) There's lots of great things going on :) the weather has really warmed up, and feels like summer time :) We're very happy and excited for the weekend, and all of the celebrations :) From time outdoors, to enjoying movies, tv, BBQ's, gardening, and lots more :) Today, we wanted to have a special memorial day holiday themed baking friday adventure :) This morning, we woke up to a beautiful new day, with a golden bright sunrise, and many birds out and about, gathering goodies :)
i wished my family and friends, a happy baking friday, and i shared your lovely happy baking friday wishes with my family :) Thank you all so very much! :) You all are so nice, and sweet :) it was a spirited morning, as i gathered a nice big bowl of goodies for our nature animal friends, and went outside for a nice sunrise nature walk :) it felt very warm outside early this morning :) i checked our plants, and put lots of goodies around our yard :) our nature animal friends love their baking friday breakfast feasts! :) i checked our greenhouses, we have 28 popcorn plants sprouts, that will be growing lots and lotsmore, and will be ready to be planted into our garden next weekend :) i'm so happy and excited! :)
i began to gather some nice baking friday supplies, and decorations, and went out into our kitchen to begin decorating, and setting up our kitchen ,for our super fun adventure :) it's lots of fun decorating :)Each week, we love to use our nice baking friday supplies, our nice aprons, oven mits, kitchen towels, cookie cutters, and lots more :) These nice supplies are always a very special part of our baking and cooking each week :) Today's kitchen theme, i decorated with stars and stars, memorial day holiday weekend Patriotic theme :) it looked so nice :) i prepared a nice lunch, and after lunch, i went outside to tend our plants :) i paced myself, and watered our plants, and gardens :) the plants enjoyed the nice water nourishment :) i also planted another pumpkin plant, and some more gourds seeds too :) it was nice doing some mid-day gardening :)
During the early afternoon, i enjoyed some nice time here on ds, writing to friends :) Alyssa and the triplets came over after 2pm :) Around 3pm, i went back out into our kitchen, to put the finishing touches on our kitchen preparations, and also got the oven set :) Jenn and Mike had a busy day, but drove Mikey over, so that he could help us bake :) Kayla and Taylynn arrived home from school shortly after 3pm :) We were all gathering around, and very excited for the adventure :) throughout the course of the day, i texted friends to wish them a happy baking friday :) our kitchen was all set, and we were all ready, to bake some goodies! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) cookie monsters unite! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)
We began our super fun adventure! :) we began to prepare the sugar cookies :) i said to Kayla, pick out the best egg ever! :) She loves to pick out the eggs :) the kids were all very excited, and also very ambitious! oh my! they sometimes have some days, where they are very wild! we think it's due to them wanting to go outside more, and i knew today, we would only have the kids attention for a short while, as they were very wild and ambitious today! oh my! Kayla and i try our best to keep things organized and calm in the kitchen :) the kids love to help :) We added the sugar cookies ingredients into the bowl, and we began to super stir :) Kayla and i love helping the kids, and teaching them about baking :) They are learning a lot, from their baking experiences :)
We used the star shaped cookie cutter, and heart shaped cookie cutter, to make the nice shaped cookies :) You all are always right there with us in spirit in the kitchen :) We love sharing lots of smiles :) i used butter to grease the baking pan, and i put the cookies onto the baking pan :) we made lots of nice cookies :) i put the cookies into the oven to bake! :) We did some cleaning up in the kitchen :) the kids were very antsy and wild, Alyssa decided to bring the kids outside to play :) it was definitely one of those days, where the kids were on the wild level, but they did really well, with helping out preparing the cookies :)
the cookies baked nicely :) i brought the cookies out of the oven to cool down :) Kayla and i then prepared the red and blue frostings, to go with the white frosting :) we put the frostings into zip lock bags, to make cookie decorators :) Once the cookies cooled down, Kayla and i decorated the cookies, with the red, white, and blue frostings :) they came out really good :) i thanked Kayla, and we also thanked the kids for helping today :) next week, we'll hopefully keep the kitchen a bit calmer, i think the kids were extra wild today, but did do well, and next week, we'll have our annual ice cream themed baking friday adventure :) There's many more super fun baking friday adventures to look forward too :)
