baking friday! :) calling all cookie monsters and Leprechauns! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters and Leprechauns! hehe! :) cookie monsters and Leprechauns unite! :) It's baking friday! :) oh my! :) a super fun, and super sweet, St. Patrick's day themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen!!! :) this was so much fun!!! :) With the flour flying in the air, like the joyful spirit of the month of march! :) spring time is here, and st. patrick's day is coming up! :) Today, we turned our kitchen GREEN, with shamrocks glowing bright, and we baked up some yummy goodies, and even made some pickles too! :) woot! woot! :) Come on over, for some baking friday goodies! :)
We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today Kayla, Mikey, Colby, Jacob, Brayden, and i had a super fun time, baking shamrock sugar cookies, and also made 7 jars of homemade dill pickles :) it was awesome, and spring spirited, as we are so happy and excited, about the month of march, and all of the celebrations going on :) there's lots of joyful times, and many special memories being made :) We're experiencing some amazing spring weather. :) i got my fan in my window, and view of the sweet blue sky, and we're gaining more sunlight each day :) We got spring fever, and we love it!!! :)
my family and i hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying a great day! :) We've been looking forward to our annual St. Patrick's day themed baking friday adventure :) There's so much to enjoy this time of the year :) From March celebrations, birthday's, spring ,holidays, and lots more :) my heart is glowing like a shamrock! :) It's my favorite month, and i've been putting together a fun st. patrick's day themed baking friday adventure for the kids and i to enjoy :) for Christmas this past december, Lisa and Kayla gave me 12 canning jars, and 3 packs of dill pickle seasoning :) i've been dreaming of making osme homemade pickles :) i'm a pickles fanatic, just like my niece Alyssa! :) hehe! :) We both love pickles :)
This morning, we had a beautiful new march day rising and shining :) The golden bright sunrises, and spring season approaching :) Lots of birds have been out and about, singing happily :) It's a wonderful joy, the spring time nature :) i wished my family and friends, a happy baking friday, and i love sharing with my family, your sweet happy baking friday wishes :) Thank you everyone, so very much! :) We have a very special thank you also, for my mom and dad : )They went shopping yesterday, and picked up baking friday supplies, including 4 cucumbers for us to make pickles :) We all love to chip in each week, to get baking friday supplies :) We love this very special tradition :)
i gathered up a big bowl of goodies this morning, for our nature animal friends, and enjoyed a nice sunrise nature walk :) our nature animal friends love their baking friday breakfast feasts :) it's been refreshingly warm outside, and even warm up to put our fans in our windows again :) It's awesome! :) We love spring time :) it was a nice morning :)i gathered our St. Patrick's day themed decorations, and went out into our kitchen, to set up and decorate our kitchen, for our super fun adventure :) i decorated our kitchen with glowing green shamrocks, it looked great! :) i cooked a nice healthy lunch, some nice cabbage and onion soup, and a cheese tortilla wrap :) it was delicious! :) during the early afternoon, i enjoyed another nature walk :) i put more bird seeds on the feeders. :) i went outside without my jacket, it's so nice, and warm :) during the early afternoon, i enjoyed some nice time here on ds, writing to friends :)
i also prepared the cucumbers, for making pickles :) Kayla and Taylynn had the day off from school today. :) We knew Jenn, Mikey, and Hunter would be coming over, along with Alyssa, and the triplets, Colby, Jacob, and Brayden. :) They began to arrive after 2:30pm :) we were gathering around, and getting ready for our super fun adventure :) Lots of great excitement in the air :) i got the water, vinegar, and dill seasoning cooking in a huge cooking pot on the stove :) it was so nice, beginning to smell the dill pickles scent :) Each week, we get lots of nice enjoyment, using our baking friday supplies, we have recieved over the years, from family and friends :) our nice aprons, oven mits, kitchen towels, hot mats, and cookie cutters :) These special supplies, are always a great part of our cooking and baking adventures each week :) our kitchen was all set, and we were all set, and ready. :) Calling all cookie monsters and St. Patrick's day Leprechauns! :) It's time to bake! bake! bake! :)
We began our super fun adventure! :) we first began, by putting the sliced cucumbers into the canning jars :) we had dill pickle chips, spears, and vlassic sandwich shaped pickles :) we put some minced garlic in some of the jars :) Kayla, Mikey, and i have been teaching the triplets about baking, they are learning a lot. :) they love to help :) baking friday teamwork! :) we love baking, and sharing lots of smiles while baking goodies :) it's our favorite tradition :) We were having so much fun preparing the pickles :) You all are right there with us in spirit, in our kitchen :) The pickle juice continued to heat up on the stove :) while it was heating up, we prepared the shamrock sugar cookies :)
each year, we love to use our nice shamrock cookie cutters :) i said to Kayla, "pick out the best egg ever!" :) she loves to pick out the eggs :) We added the sugar cookies ingredients to the bowl, and began to super stir! :) We had some flour flying in the air in the kitchen today! :) hehe! :) i used spray butter to grease the baking pan, and put the shamrock shaped cookies onto the baking pan, and put the cookies into the oven to bake! :) i checked in on the pickle juice, it was almost set :) my mom, Alyssa, Jenn, and baby Hunter came out into the kitchen too :) this was awesome! :)
i used a nice laddle to put the pickle juice into the jars, and then put the lids on the jars :) We made a total of 7 jars of pickles :) wow!!! :) we love pickles :) the cookies baked nicely, when they were finished baking, i brought them out of the oven to cool down :) we did some cleaning up in the kitchen, and then got ready to decorate :) we love decorating :) we made some green frosting with the food coloring :) We decorated the cookies, and the kids put some sprinkles on their cookies they made to bring home :) We also gave Alyssa and Jenn, each a jar of pickles to bring home. :) Taylynn wanted a jar of pickles too :) We love pickles :)

I\'m going to chill out the best i can this weekend, try and rest, possibly sleep if i can. Possibly watch some programmes i\'ve taped. I\'m going to start writing thank u cards to u all very soon too and arranging things round my room :) Was lovely celebrating with u all and thank u again :)

I\'m logging off for the night in a few mins and to try and listen to a chill out cd to see if it helps me get even a little sleep :)

I was sorry to read about your neighbour chucking stuff into your backyard. Is it worth your dad going over and having a word to her? Or, use it for a cool bonfire and don\'t invite her! hehehe ;)
Looks like Jenn had a lovely birthday, and those flowers are pretty special - they look really nice. I like flowers - and, you have some spring shoots - daffodils?? I like this time of year, seeing your gardens come alive again! We\'re supposed to be autumn here, but, we have temps forecast for the next week between 30 - 33 degrees (celcius), all week, with showers. It\'s just unbearable.

O Chris , what a wonderful baking day you had sorry I missed it yesterday it was the first time but was busy with little Brandon. You write so well just bring joy to my heart and it warms me so much and hear all the joy of the wonderful things to see pictures of all your decorations and your cooking and baking and how much the kids enjoy the cookies look so good I want eat one they look good.
