baking friday! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's baking friday! :) oh my! :) a super fun, and super sweet, spring time themed baking friday in the kitchen in the kitchen!!! :) Taylynn joined in on the baking friday fun today, as we baked up some yummy cookies, with a spring theme :) to celebrate the spring season :) it's beginning to blossom beautifully, and we've even began to see some bumble bees around our yard/garden areas :) it's that time of the year, as we get ready to dwelve into the gardening season :) Family, Friends, i post this journal, with a green smiley dedicated to you all, who are keeping me motivated every day, with your wonderful love, and spirits :) We wish you all could come over to join us for some baking friday cookies :)
We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today my nieces Kayla, Taylynn, and i baked some nice decorative sugar cookies :) ladybugs and bumble bees themed :) We're excited, for the spring time nature, and getting to blossom outside more now :) it's really nice, and is refreshing :)The changing of the seasons, truly is like, a new beginning, and a fresh start, and it's like a journey, and many memories are gonna be made :) new memories, to cherish with our hearts :) We love getting into the spirit of the seasons, and combining the seasons with our favorite weekly tradition, baking friday :)
my family and i hope everyone is doing well, and having a nice friday :) it's been getting warmer, and it was in the 60's and 70's in recent days here :) in my favorite gardening area the other day, i spotted some bumble bees :) all of our nature animal friends are excited to be back out, and all of the new nature, it's really amazing :) from flowers and trees growing, to the sweet sounds of birds singing :) there's lots of wonderful joys, and so many special things, and times we have, to look forward too :) Thank you angel friends, for all of your lovely happy baking friday wishes. :) i love to share your wishes with my family :) You all are very nice, and sweet :) i wished my family a happy baking friday this morning too :) it's been great having Kayla and Taylynn home this week, for their spring vacation :) They've been enjoying their days off from school, and have had some great quality time outside this week, visiting with their friends :) Alyssa's been bringing the triplets over to play too :)
i went outside this early morning, with a nice bowl of goodies, breads, peanuts, and bird seeds, for our nature animal friends :) The birds were singing happily :) it's like the nature, is buzzing with excitement :) it was raining this morning, but it did clear up as the day went on :) The rain is nourishing for all of the nature :) for the fresh grass growing, the new flowers, trees, and bushes :) It's the first flourish of the season now, and it's really inviting :) with all of this nature blossoming, it's helped to inspire me to go out a bit more :) i texted friends this morning, to wish them a happy baking friday :) Around mid-morning, i gathered our baking friday supplies, and decorations, and ventured out into our kitchen. :) i brought out, our nice ladybugs and bumble bees themed pictures, that Kayla and Taylynn have drawn over the years :) these nice pictures, always brings back lots of memories for us, of our baking friday adventures from earlier years :) it's really nice :) i had a nice time decorating our kitchen, and prepared a nice lunch :) potato salad and soup today :) i've been eating well, and having some teas, and powerade :) We have a very special shoutout, and thank you, for my dear and lovely mom and sister Lisa :) they went to the grocery store yesterday, and picked up baking friday supplies :) it's very nice, and sweet of them :)
During the early afternoon, i enjoyed some nice time here on ds, writing to friends :) i also made a nice oolong tea, which was really good :) my brother Charlie and Barbara gave us some nice oolong tea packets :) i love hot tea :) it's soothing, and enjoyable :) We decided to get ready to bake around 3pm today :) That's when we usually bake goodies :) Jenn had work today, and Mikey wasn't able to come over, but hopes to come over next week for baking friday :) my niece Alyssa began her new job today, so she and triplets didn't join in, but we're hopeful, from week to week, to have some of the kids join in :) it was just around 3pm, and i had our kitchen all set and ready :) Kayla and i began to bake! :) cookie monsters unite! :)
We began to prepare the sugar cookies :) Kayla picked out the best egg ever! :) The years, really do fly by. when we first began to bake goodies in 2007, Kayla wasn't even as tall as the counter top, and she now is nearly as tall as me! :) hehe! :) we have so many cool memories from our baking friday's, and Kayla loves to be able to join in :) She does have some school activities coming up soon, for cross country/track and field, but will be joining in on the adventures, at times, and also the other kids, Taylynn, Mikey, and the triplets will join in on baking friday too :) We were adding the sugar cookies ingredients to the bowl, and began to do some super stirring! :) We love to add some extra butter, to the sugar cookies :) one of our favorite kinds of cookies :) it's so nice :) We were enjoying the adventure, and Taylynn came out into the kitchen, she mentioned she wanted to help decorate the cookies when they were ready :) Cool! :)
We made some nice round shaped sugar cookies, for the ladybugs/bumble bees theme :) i used butter to grease the cookie pan :) We love our baking supplies, we got lots of nice baking pans, we enjoy using each week :) i put the cookies into the oven to bake! bake! bake! :) i did some cleaning up in the kitchen, and we took a little break, and then got ready to make the different colored frostings :) Kayla and i made red, black, and yellow frostings for the cookies :) The cookies baked nicely, they bake really quick, we put the cookies on 350 degrees in the oven :) as the cookies were cooling down, i was talking with my mom and Kayla :) We got ready to decorate our spring themed cookies :) it was so nice, having Taylynn join us in the kitchen today :) We decorated 4 ladybugs cookies, and 4 bumble bees cookies :) it was awesome, and the cookies came out really good :) We showed my mom, she said, "these look really good" :) we love sharing in these moments, and your loving prescences and spirits are with us in spirit in our kitchen :) i thanked Kayla and Taylynn for helping bake :) it was a really nice baking friday adventure :)

We're having a nice friday :) my family and i are doing well :) We love baking friday, and the arrival of the weekend :) We've got a nice weekend planned :)the weather is expected to be really nice this weekend :) Tomorrow, we're going to be going shopping at walmart :) i want to buy my new double window fan :) i'm also gonna browse around, looking forward to the shopping adventure :) i want to look at the movies too :) i may buy 1 or 2 new movies :) it be nice too, to look at the garden center :) i may buy a small cactus plant for my computer room here :) on sunday, i want to put a good 2 hours into our yard and garden, with some cleaning and organizing, and it would be great, to get to go a little planting in our garden greenhouse :) planting some seeds :) i look forward to sharing our weekend adventures, and pictures with everyone :) i want to continue to take good care, and keeping busy and active with my days :) Thank you all, so very much, for all that you do for my family and i :) You all are wonderful friends :) it's been a good, positive week, and spending lots of time with family and friends, is so nice, comforting, and uplifting :) i feel relaxed, and i'm looking forward to the weekend :) There's lots to look forward too :) Tonight, i'm going to put a movie on, for a movie night :) We hope everyone enjoys a nice weekend :)

Hi Chris, I love your ladybug and bumble bee theme. For Baking Friday, and enjoyed reading your lovely journal. I remember seeing kayla as a little girl and she has grown so tall and into a beautiful teenager. Time goes so fast and they grow up. Even Talynn has grown up so much, she was just a little baby just the other day and now she has also got taller. It was so nice to read how you enjoying your summer and the sunshine. I love hearing about the seeds and peanuts you put our for the birds and squirrels. Our little nature friends are always so special. We have birds visiting in the trees outside and they make the most beautiful sounds. Which I never ever heard before. take care my dear friend. Hugs Dez x
