baking friday! :) calling all cookie monsters and santa claus! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters and santa claus! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters and santa claus unite!!! :) it's baking friday! :) oh my! :) a super fun, flour flying, Christmas celebrations sweet, Christmas themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen!!! :) This was so much fun, and Christmas spirit soaring!!! :) we love it!!! :) it's Christmas time, and lots of awesome festivities, and traditions being shared :) Twas 5 days until Christmas holiday! :) The spirit of the season is all around :) come on over, for some baking friday goodies! :)

We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition :) Today, Alyssa, the kids, and i baked snickerdoodle cookies, and made some chocolate truffles with sprinkles :) it was so much fun! :) the kids are so excited! :) They're all getting ready for Christmas, and the arrival of Santa Claus :) The kids came into our downstairs apartment here after baking, and saw my Christmas town, and mystery minis collection :) They love seeing the collectibles :) We're so happy and excited for all of the special times being shared, and all of the great memories being made :)

This morning, we had a sweet new, festive Christmasy season day rising and shining :) a very special tradition i love on friday's, is wishing my family, Holly, and friends a happy baking friday, and i share with them, your wonderful happy baking friday wishes :) awww! :) Thank you angel friends, so very much! :) You all are very nice, and sweet :) it's an awesome time in the season, to do some baking, and cooking :) we love getting our christmas recipe books out, and looking up recipes :) one of the most funnest joys of Christmas time, is all of the treats :) from foods, to desserts, cookies, and lots more :) We have so many favorites :) We've been looking forward to baking some goodies :) The kids are all very excited, for Christmas and opening presents :) it's a wintery festive week too, with all of the icy/snowy conditions, very cold weather, and we love getting the oven going, and baking some treats :) during the evening yesterday, my mom baked some apple turnovers, and Lisa is planning some holiday baking too, and on monday, i'm going to be baking more cookies too, to put into containers/tins for gifts :) it's a season of holiday baking fun! :)

As the new day was blossoming, i bundled up warmly, gathered a big bowl of goodies, and went outside for my early morning nature walk :) it's very wintery cold, and icy all around. it's like the north pole! :) i carefully walked over to the bird sanctuary area in our yard, where we have lots of bird feeders, bird houses, and areas where i put goodies for our nature friends :) i put all of the goodies around there for them, to gather :) they love their baking friday breakfast feasts :) awww! :) i wasn't outside for long, but did see some birds, and also the moon was still visible in the sky, visible from a view through the trees :) it's been a very wintery december, with 4 times, when it's snowed, and also the recent icy/sleeting day we had this week, it's feeling like and looking a lot like Christmas, all around :) Christmas lights glowing at night time, and the spirit of the season in the air :) we've been enjoying seeing our Christmas trees, and my Christmas town glowing :) Lots of awesome festive spirit :)

It was a sweet spirited festive morning :) We enjoyed our breakfast, and had some iced coffee :) i've been enjoying the chex mix cereal, i got at the supercenter earlier this week :) Cheers!!! to the spirit of holiday season :) We've been enjoying our Christmas decorations, lights, and our Christmas baking friday supplies :) around mid-morning, i gathered our supplies, and decorations, and went out into our kitchen to begin setting up, and decorating our kitchen, with a wonderful Christmas theme :) our kitchen looks wonderful and festive :) it's so much fun decorating :) We love our wonderful Christmas decorations we've recieved from family and friends over the years :) the decorations make our kitchen and home glow, and are a very special part of our Christmas season celebrations :) my mom and dad went out to shop, and around mid-day, we enjoyed a nice lunch, and during the early afternoon, i enjoyed some nice time here on DS, writing to friends :)

Around 3pm, Alyssa and the kids came over, and Jenn and the kids came over :) lots of great spirit, and excitement in the air :) we were all gathering around ,getting ready to bake goodies :) The Christmas spirit is in the air :) earlier, i made some nice chocolate truffles mix :) i melted chocolate in a cooking pot, and added in some condensed sweetened milk, and vanilla :) it was nice and smooth, melted, and i poured it into a glass bowl, and put it into the fridge to chill :) it's first time for us all ,making chocolate truffles :) it's a special request, from my niece Alyssa :) each week, we love to use our nice baking friday supplies we've recieved from family and friends we've recieved over the years :) i wear my apron, and we use our oven mits, kitchen towels, and all of our supplies, are a big part of our baking and cooking each week :)we'v been enjoying a great time using our Christmas season baking friday supplies :) our kitchen was all set, and ready, and we were ready for some awesome baking friday fun! :) Calling all cookie monsters and santa claus! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)

We began our super fun adventure! :) baking friday teamwork! :) We began to prepare the snickerdoodle cookies :) they're Holly's favorite cookie :) the kids love to help : )they're great helpers :) they love adding the ingredients, and super stirring :) We had the flour flying in the air in the kitchen, as we prepared the cookies :) the recipe is very similar to sugar cookies, except we add in cream of tartar :) We were having an awesome fun time baking, my mom and dad came out into the kitchen too :) You all are always right there with us in spirit :) Jenn and Mike went to go shopping, for Christmas baking supplies for their Christmas cookies party tomorrow :) We're looking forward to the party :) Holly and i are gonna wear our fun, "ugly" christmas sweater elf shirts :) hehe! :) it's gonna be so much fun! :)

We super stirred the cookies mix :) we made a nice big batch of the snickerdoodle cookies dough :) i used vegetable oil to grease the baking pan, and we then made the cookie dough into round shapes :) we got a bowl, and added sugar, and cinnamon, and then dunked the cookies into the sugar and cinnamon, and put the cookies onto the baking pan :) i then put the first batch of cookies into the oven to bake :)

As the cookies were baking, we checked the chocolate truffles in the fridge, the chocolate had hardened a bit ,which made it perfect for making the truffles :) the kids were so excited to help :) we poured sprinkles into a bowl, and scooped out some chocolate truffle, and rolled the truffle into the sprinkles :) we were sharing lots of smiles, baking friday spirit! :) we love it! :) we were having an awesome fun time :) we used baking cups to put the chocolate truffles in :) Alyssa brought Brodie into the kitchen, he had some chocolate truffle, he loves it! :)

The first batch of snickerdoodle cookies finished baking :) we brought the cookies out of the oven to cool down, and put another batch into the oven :) We were all hanging out, and did some cleaning up in the kitchen :) the 2nd batch of cookies baked nicely too :) Holly came up, and saw the truffles, and cookies :) i took pictures of the cookies, and we all began to dig in :) the goodies came out great! :) my mom had a chocolate truffle, and Alyssa had one too :) We love these awesome spirited times, a super fun season of Christmas baking friday fun, and so much more to look forward too :)
