baking friday! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's baking friday! :) oh my! :) A super FUN, and super SWEET, Smores pie themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen! :) With the chocolate chips flying in the air in the kitchen today! :) hehe! :) this was so much fun, and a very first for us! :) awww! :) Lots of great times and smiles being shared, and awesome memories being made :) We wish you all could come over, to enjoy some baking friday goodies with us :)
We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today Kayla, Mikey, and i baked a Smores Pie, for the 1st time :) it was a cool idea we came up with last evening, and decided to try to bake one :) it came out great, and smells so good and delicious! :) our kitchen smells like SMORES! :) awww! :) this is awesome!!! :) We've baked a smores pizza before, and now can add a smores pie to the list of smores themed treats we made, and i have a feeling, with spring and summer coming up, maybe we'll bake a smores salad! hehe! :) SMILES :) these wonderful times being shared, many great memories being made, this is so nice, and a special joy :) Thank you all, for joining us in our kitchen each week, and for welcoming us into your kitchens :)
This morning, we had a sweet, sunny, and beautiful new day, rising and shining! :) as we gear up, to welcome the new month of march, and soon springing forward, into more day light, and counting down to the spring season arriving :) There's lots of wonderful things, to look forward too :) i wished my family a happy baking friday this morning, and shared with them, all of your sweet happy baking friday wishes :) awww! :) Thank you all so very much! :) We love looking forward to baking friday :) i was so excited, about baking a smores pie for the first time :) it was an awesome morning :) i bundled up, and gathered a nice big bowl of goodies, for our nature animal friends, and went outside, for my early morning nature walk :)
Lots of beautiful sunshine in our area today :) it was incredible out there, lots and lots of birds visiting our yard, the bluejays, crows, sparrows, all flying and soaring around :) our nature animal friends love their baking friday breakfast feasts :) it was so nice, being amongst that nature, and later on during the day, i went back outside too, for another cool and fun nature walk :) Around early morning today, i began to gather baking friday supplies, and decorations, and went out into our kitchen, to begin setting up, decorating our kitchen for our super fun adventure :) it's one of my favorite joys about baking friday, the decorating :) i put some decorative towels, and sunflower decorations in our kitchen :) it looked awesome! :) my mom and dad went out today :) my dad had some deliveries to do for the medical supplies job, my mom went with him :) on the way home, they picked up baking friday supplies at the store :) it's so nice, and sweet of them :) a special thank you, for my mom and dad :)
i cooked a nice lunch today, and around mid-day, i went back outside, with some goodies, for the birds and squirrels :) i spotted a couple seagulls soaring over, and lots of crows all around :) it was so nice, it made it up to about 30 degrees, i walked around our yard in the paths for a big :) i enjoyed some time here on ds, this early afternoon :) around 2:50pm, i went back out into our kitchen, to put the finishing touches on our kitchen preparations :) my mom mentioned that Jenn and Mikey were gonna be coming over :) baby Hunter is at home, with Mike. :) very soon though, we'll get a chance to see baby Hunter :) Jenn and Mikey arrived, and Kayla and Taylynn arrived home from school :) We all were very excited, and were hanging out :) Taylynn got a cool cake pop at school today, and wants us to bake some sometime :) i said, "definitely!" :) We were all gathering in the kitchen :) Jenn said, that baby Hunter will get to join us for baking friday adventures, when he's old enough :) Mikey was so proud, he said, "oh yeah, that will be fun!" :) awww! :)
We were gearing up to bake the smores pie :) Each week, we love to use our nice baking friday supplies we have recieved from family and friends over the years :) our wonderful aprons, oven mits, kitchen towels, hot mats, and lots more :) i have a baking friday supplies carry bag, that i bring with me into the kitchen, it's got our baking supplies :) we love to enjoy these nice supplies each time we cook and bake :) i texted friends throughout the day, to wish them a happy baking friday :) we were all set and ready, and our kitchen was all set :) calling all cookie monsters! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)
We began our super fun adventure! :) We first began by preparing the Graham crackers crust :) We got 2 bowls, and we began to crunch the packages of graham crackers. :) we wanted to make a nice homemade buttery crust, for the smores pie :) we got 2 bowls, and we began to crunch/crush the graham crackers into very nice small pieces :) Mikey was so excited, he said, "Crunch! Crunch!" hehe! :) we were talking about the day, and Mikey mentioned baby Hunter :) awww! :) i used the measuring cup, to melt 1 and a half sticks of butter :) we poured all of the crunched graham crackers into a nice bowl, and then poured in the butter :) Kayla and Mikey super stirred the graham crackers :) Kayla said, "the bowl smells great!" :)
We were having lots of fun, preparing the smores pie :) i got the pie baking dish, we put all of the graham crackers/buttery crust into the pie dish, we spread the crust nicely, and then began to get ready to add the marshmallows :) We got nice small mini marshmallows, for the pie :) We added in the marshmallows, and then the chocolate chips :) Kayla, Mikey, and even Taylynn came out into the kitchen, to check in on the baking friday fun :) The kids were throwing chocolate chips into the air, and catching the chocolate chips :) awww! :) sharing lots of baking friday smiles :) the pie looked so nice, i showed it to my mom and sister Jenn before i put the pie into the oven to bake :) i put the pie into the oven to bake nicely for a bit, it was smelling so nice, our kitchen smelled like smores! :) yum! :)
We did some cleaning up in the kitchen, and were hanging out :) we were so pleased, with how well the smores pie was coming out :) i was checking in on the pie, the marshmallows were getting nice and toasted in the oven, the chocolate chips melted :) Kayla mentioned about how she couldn't wait to have some of othe smores pie :) We baked the smores pie for about 12 minutes in the oven :) it baked really nicely :) wow! :) it looks so delicious, and smells so yummy! :) we're gonna try the smores pie soon :) it was so much fun baking it, and so excited, for this awesome 1st experience, baking a smores pie :) i thanked Kayla and Mikey for helping :) we have many more super fun baking friday adventures to look forward too :) We'll be beginning our spring countdown themed baking friday's :) This is awesome!!! :) a very special shoutout, to family and friends :) lots of great wholesome cooking, and baking this week :) Shirley (Squarley) cooked nice stew, and vegetable soup. :) Debbie (SunsetsetYellow) baked an apple pie. :) Deb (Stardust) baked birthday cakes for her husband Brz and Lanie :) my mom cooked a nice roast, with potatoes, carrots, and cooked a nice ham too :) lots of delicious cooking, and baking :) We love hearing about the nice foods, and goodies you all cook and bake :) i wish we all could gather and have a baking friday picnic :) Smores Pie, dedicated to our wonderful family, friends, and to the spirit of cooking and baking :) we love you all so very very much! :) many great memories being made, to always cherish and treasure :) baking friday! :) we love it!!! : )February 27th, 2015 :) Happy baking friday everyone! :)
We're enjoying a great day! :) baking friday! :) We love it!!! :) my family and i are doing well, and are in good spirits :) We're so happy, thankful, and blessed, to have the wonderful opportunity, to experience an amazing week, and very special times like this, sharing in, and celebrating, in all of these beautiful moments with you and your family's : )There's lots of great things going on, and many special memories being made :) The weekend is arriving with lots of spirit, as the month of March approaches :) we may go shopping tomorrow, at either the dollar store, and walmart :) i'd love to browse around at the items :) it's fun shopping :) on sunday, i'm going to have a nice writing/decorating day :) i want to begin decorating my lucky shamrocks, march themed writing area :) it's gonna be so much fun, and a great decorating project :) i look forward to sharing our weekend adventures, and pictures with everyone in my weekend journals :) You all are wonderful friends, and bring us lots of great joy, happiness, and peace :) There's many more great things to look forward too :) Tonight, Holly and i are going to watch 2 episodes, of the "Most Haunted" show on youtube :) We love our friday paranormal party night shows :) Thank you angel friends, so very much, for all that you do for us :) We deeply appreciate everything, with all of the love of our hearts :) BIG GROUP WARM COZY FRIENDSHIP HUG :) We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful weekend :)

Preparing the Smores Pie! :) We love the awesome times, sharing smiles, and enjoying the steps, of making the recipes :) it's first time we've made a smores pie :) We've made a smores pizza before, about 5 years ago. :) We love smores, and are so excited, to make this special treat :)
We first crushed/crumbled the graham crackers :) we wanted to use the graham crackers, to make the crust, for the smores pie :)

After we crunched the graham crackers, we poured in some nice melted butter into the bowl, and then spread the graham crackers crust into the pie dish :)

We then added nice marshmallows into the pie crust :) We love marshmallows :)
Chocolate Chips! :) We sprinkled chocolate chips on top of the marshmallows :)
