We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today Mikey and i baked a Raspberry Pie, and also baked some Pumpkin Cupcakes :) it was just Mikey and i baking in the kitchen today. Alyssa and Aj took the triplets, Kayla and Taylynn to the amusement park for the day. They're having awesome fun, and will be home this early evening :) Mikey was so happy to join in, as he had a scary day yesterday, during the evening, he was stung by some bees, during a nature walk in the hiking trails. Jenn and Mike brought him to the hospital, and he got some medicine. he was stung on his lips, and on his face. he's thankfully ok, and was in great spirits today, for a fun baking friday adventure :)
The spirit of summer time :) This morning, i wished my family a happy baking friday, and shared your wonderful happy baking friday wishes with them :) Thank you everyone! :) i knew it was gonna be a light baking friday adventure today, with it just Mikey and me baking, but still a fun adventure to plan :) The morning was bright, sunny, and it was a spirited new day, rising and shining :) i began my day with a nice nature walk, putting lots of goodies all around our yard, for our wonderful nature animal friends, and i checked our plants :) it's a beautiful summer day in the gardens :) the plants are super mega growing :) i saw lots of birds today too :)
i began to gather some kitchen decorations this morning, i wanted to decorate our kitchen :) i love decorating, no matter how big the adventure, it's always one of my favorite joys :) i decorated the kitchen, with a summer theme, and also cooked a nice lunch :) my mom and dad had went out to shop, and i was spending some time here on ds writing to friends :) my mom and dad picked up some nice pie baking crusts for us at the store :) it's so nice, and sweet of them :) They took me to the bank this afternoon, i did a withdrawal for some of my recent earnings :) it was a relaxing afternoon, i enjoyed another nature walk :) it was very active in our yard, with lots of birds visiting :) i was also hanging out with my mom and dad this afternoon too :) shortly before 3pm, i was in the kitchen, getting our baking pans, and also our pie baking dish all set :)
Throughout the course of the week, i've been picking some nice fresh raspberries, from our gardens :) We love raspberries :) we have lots of raspberry bushes in our yard, and gardens :) i've been freezing the berries, and today, i even picked another half cup full of berries :) it's so nice, wholesome, and very heart warming, harvesting goodies, and using the goodies to cook and bake :) our first harvest of the summer season, Raspberries :) we feel so blessed, and thankful for this nature blessing. :) it's become a great tradition each year, to bake a raspberry pie :) Jenn, Mikey, and baby Hunter came over around 3pm :) Mikey was showing us his bee stings, on his lips, and also on his face. ouchie! he's strong, he is really brave, and he was his normal self too, he was ready to help bake goodies :) awww! :) i told Mikey, he's in charge of baking friday today :) he was very proud :)
Each week, we love to use our nice baking friday supplies we have :) i wear my apron, we use our oven mits, kitchen towels, and hot mats too :) all of our nice baking supplies, we get lots of great use from :) it's a wonderful collection :) our kitchen was all set, and ready, and Mikey and i were ready to bake! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) cookie monsters unite! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :) We began our super fun adventure :) Mikey and i first began to prepare the Raspberry pie :) i used butter spray to grease the pie baking dish :) Mikey and i then put the first half of the pie crust into the dish, and added in, some organic coconut sugar :) we then put the Raspberries, and some oatmeal mix, with more coconut sugar :) We then put the 2nd half of the pie crust, on top of the raspberries, and i used a knife to make cuts amongst the top of the pie, so that the pie would bake evenly :) i used aluminum foil to cover the pie. :) i put the Raspberry pie into the oven to bake! :) our kitchen was smelling nice, raspberry pie was baking nicely :) i thought about how awesome it is, to be enjoying the raspberries, to bake, and the great joy, of how the raspberries grew in our garden :)
next up, the cupcakes! :)i said to Mikey, "you get to crack open the 2 eggs" :) awww! :) he was really excited :) we missed the other kids, but we know they'll be joining in on the baking friday fun next week :) We had this nice box of pumpkin cupcakes mix, that's been on our cupboard, and i thought it would be great, to use the mix to make the cupcakes :) Mikey and i added in the ingredients to the bowl :) Mikey was set to super stir! :) we added some extra butter into the cake mix :) my mom, and Jenn, with baby Hunter came out into the kitchen :) it was so nice, ahving them into the kitchen to join us :)
Mikey and i scooped the cupcake mix, into the baking cups :) Mikey was doing so well :) We're very proud of him :) he had the very scary experience yesterday, getting stung, but was so happy to be able to bake today :) he's our super baker! :) Mikey was sharing nature stories, as we were baking, he was so happy :) he said, "we were by the river, i was walking around" :) awww! :) we love sharing stories, and smiles in the kitchen :) i put the cupcakes into the oven to bake :) the cupcakes, oh wow! raspberry pie too! smells so good, baking :) we were hanging out a bit, in the kitchen and living room :) we did some cleaning up in the kitchen, and then prepared the pumpkin frosting, that came with the pumpkin cupcake mix :) we melted butter, and stirred it into the pumpkin frosting :)
the cupcakes finished baking :) i brought the cupcakes out of the oven to cool down :) The Raspberry pie baked for a good 35 minutes too :) it came out great, with a golden buttery crust :) once the cupcakes cooled down, we put the pumpkin frosting on the cupcakes. :) i set up our garden bench in our front yard, and took pictures of the cupcakes and raspberry pie :) Mikey wanted to get his picture taken too :) cool! :)i thanked Mikey for helping bake :) he was so proud :) it was a super fun baking friday adventure, and we have lots more adventures to look forward too :) the triplets, Kayla, and Taylynn will be returning to help us bake next week :) We love summer time baking, and sharing all around our adventures :) a very special shoutout, to family and friends :) lots of cooking, baking, and BBQ grilling this week :) we love hearing about all of the nice foods, and goodies you all cook, grill, and bake :) i wish we all could have an awesome DS picnic :) that would be incredible! :) Raspberry Pie, and Pumpkin cupcakes, dedicated to our wonderful family, friends, and to the amazing spirit of the seasons :) we love you all so very very much! :) many great memories being made, to always cherish and treasure :) baking friday! :) We love it!!! :) July 10th, 2015 :) Happy baking friday everyone! :)
