baking friday :) Pretzels, and some news to share

Happy Veteran's Day, and Happy baking friday to our dear angel friends :)

Hi angel friends :) We hope everyone is doing well, and having a peaceful day :) our home, and kitchen smells like some nice fresh baked onion and garlic pretzels :) it's baking friday today, and also Veteran's day :) We're very proud of all of the Veteran's, who have served our country over the years, including my 2 uncles, who served years ago. We love to take some time to honor all of our veteran's on this special holiday :) our baking friday adventure is dedicated to them :)

It's been an emotional day today, but are remaining strong. You all are like family to us, and always in our hearts. :) we love you all, and sharing in the special times of the seasons, months, and holidays :) the Thanksgiving, and Christmas seasons are coming up :) my family and i are looking forward to all of these times with you and your family's :) We had a light baking friday today, as our hearts are a bit heavy, with some news we recieved this morning. i wanted though, to do some writing about our baking friday adventure :) The kids have the day off from school today :)

This afternoon, Kayla, the triplets, and i baked some nice pretzels :) We made 3 varieties :) plain, garlic, and onion pretzels :) the kids love to help bake :) Jenn, Mike, Mikey, and Hunter were busy this afternoon, as Jenn has work, and Mike watches the kids. We decided to have a light baking friday. Kayla and i helped the kids prepare the pretzel dough :) Pretzels are one of our favorite foods to bake :) i remember the first time we baked pretzels, and it's incredible, how they became one of our favorite recipes :) the kids had fun super stirring, rolling the pretzel dough, and i boiled the pretzels for a few minutes before we put butterspray on the pretzels :) we made some plain pretzels for Lisa, and also made onion and garlic pretzels :)

The pretzels baked really nicely :) They came out really good :) i thanked Kayla and the triplets for helping bake :) We want to have some more fall season/thanksgiving themed baking friday adventures, leading up to the holiday season baking :) a special shoutout to family, friends, for lots of great baking this week :) it's so nice getting to share our cooking, and baking with eachother :) We're with eachother in spirit, in our kitchens :) We'll have a full baking friday next week, with some Thanksgiving themed baking :)

Hi angel friends, i have some sad news to share to begin my journal today. i wanted to post a special prayers request, for Holly, her family, especially her mom. it's been a very hard day for them, and for my family and i who care deeply for them. Holly's mom passed away this morning.

i want to share a message from Holly. i know in recent times, i posted a bit about her mom, her health, and wrote to friends through messages. this morning, Holly called me, and shared some very sad news. her mom Linda passed away this morning. it really shocked us, and made us very sad, and upset at the same time. Holly's a private person, she use too be here on ds years ago. She's been going through some family things. She, her daughter, brother, family were going to spend time with her mom this upcoming weekend. her mom's been unwell. she was fine on October 20th, and they had Holly's birthday. just before Halloween, her mom had to go to the hospital with an issue with her throat and chest. Holly visited her on October 31st, afternoon. She brought her mom some nice frog pajama's :) Linda loved frogs :) She was doing well, but there was concern about her throat, and fluid collecting her in lungs. Holly and her daughter spoke with the doctors, nurses, about what care she may recieve and wanted them to make sure they did all they could do. there was talk of a feeding tube. it was discussed. Holly's dad said her mom didn't want a feeding tube. Holly had a hard time believing that, her brother, and daughter also didn't know if that was her mom's choice fully. Holly's dad is a controlling person, and hasn't been very nice over the years. he mentioned about her mom Linda recieving hospice care, 3 days a week at the nursing home. Holly's brother is a great person, he lives in Colorado, and her dad only mentioned that he along with him, had say, about when it comes to her mom's care, but Holly and her daughter were very upset by that, as they are in Maryland, same state, and Holly's daughter is a nurse, and they feel they should have gotten a say, in Linda's care.

Holly, her brother, and her daughter, all wanted to get a 2nd opinion from the doctor's, to see if there was something they could do for her, to help her health improve. She had the onset of alzheimers. Last friday, November 4th, Holly, her daughter, her daughter's husband, went to visit Linda, and she was full of life. joking, sharing all kinds of smiles. Still uncertainty though, about her care. we felt really hopeful after last friday. She did return home, and Holly, her daughter Kim, her brother Robert (Who lives in Colorado), all planned to visit Linda this weekend, to talk with her about getting a feeding tube, and wanted to talk more with the doctor's, and nurses. This morning, Linda passed away, and it's really devastating, sad news. my family and i are deeply saddened, and feel awful for Holly, her brother, her daughter, family. they all are very devastated. i told Holly, if there's anything my family and i can do, to help, to please let us know. she asked for prayers, for her mom, for her, family during this very sad time. we always held onto hope, that Linda's health would improve a bit more, maybe to have more time. it's something Holly, her daughter, brother, family will discuss. Holly's brother's inlaws, came to pick up Holly this morning, and she's been with family today.

It's very hard time, and we feel very deeply saddened. i think we all want peace, and to know that it truly was Linda's full decision, and choice, to not have a feeding tube. Holly gives me her full blessing, permission too, to write here in my journal today, to share about things, the going on's, and for prayer requests. our hearts are heavy, and sad. we're with Holly, her daughter, brother, family in spirit, and our love is hugging their hearts. my mom, family, and i want to be here for Holly, to be there for her, to comfort her, her family during these sad times.

Holly's mom Linda was a wonderful beautiful person. :) She and i had many talks, and she was always full of life :) i told Holly i'll always remember that time, her mom and i were talking, and she told me, to find a frog in my garden :) she loved Frogs. i remember i found this nice stuffed frog toy for Linda, and i sent it to Holly, for her mom :) i told Holly to tell her, that i found it in our garden :) it's hard, and very sad that she's passed away. we're gonna rally around Holly, family, all we can. Linda's spirit, will forever live on in our hearts. Please keep Holly, her mom, daughter, brother, family, in your thoughts and prayers and please send energy for peace, and comfort. Thank you angel friends.

it's been an emotional day. the news about Holly's mom passing away. it's hard, for us all, and we just want to do all we can, to help comfort Holly, and her family. never easy, to experience times that are rough, sad, emotional. just gotta flow with the hours, and times of the days. Holly called me this afternoon. She's with her daughter and son inlaw at their home. her mom, was a wonderful, beautiful person, and i'm thankful i got the opportunity, and blessing to get to know her mom Linda over the years. She'll always be in our hearts, a special light of hope, and spirit. will spend lots of time comforting Holly as much as she needs me, my mom, family, especially in the upcoming days. our hearts are very sad for Holly, her brother, daughter, her family. we'll keep strong together, and comfort eachother. the weekend, will be different, low key, peaceful close to home. we'll shop tomorrow, and will spend as much time with Holly as she needs me, and us. we're going to buy some cards for Holly, her family. Holly is spending the night at her daughter's home. she's keeping strong, for her family. big group comforting hug. will write this weekend, and will continue to keep Holly, and her family in our thoughts, prayers, and in our hearts

-never lose hope :)

Hi Chris...Again, I'm really sorry about the loss of Linda, Holly's mom. I don't think I realized just how close you were to her too. It's very sad about the uncertainty regarding the feeding tube. That's why it is so important for families to have discussions about health care before the need ever arises. I really feel for Holly, not knowing what her mom would have wanted pre-Alzheimer's. I'm glad that she had a good visit with her mom on 11/4, and hope that she can find some comfort in the memories made that day. Please share my condolences and hugs with her. You both will be in my thoughts and prayers. Love and hugs. PS -- The pretzels turned out really well.
