baking friday :) Pizza Calzones, and Rice Krispies Treats! :)

"i'll get the flour! It's pizza time!"- my little niece Kayla and little nephew Mikey said that today, baking friday! :)
baking friday! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's baking friday! :)oh my! :) a super FLOUR flying, spirited spring time cheer, baking friday adventure in the kitchen!!! :) Mikey helped us get the flour flying in the air today, as we baked some yummy goodies! :) This was so much fun! :) We're teaching Mikey all kinds of fun baking tips, and he's having an awesome time! :) he always asks each week, "are we using eggs!" :) Awww! :) We love baking friday, and all of these awesome times! :) continuing on with our Spring themed adventures, of spirited joy in the kitchen :) We wish you all could come over to enjoy some baking friday goodies :)
We sure do love our baking friday adventrues, and sharing our adventures with everyone : )keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today Kayla, Mikey, and i baked Pizza Calzones, and made Rice Krispies treats :) Kayla and i were showing Mikey, how to fold over the pizza dough, to make the calzones, and also stirring the rice krispies! : )Snap, Crackle and Pop! :) this baking friday adventure was rocking and rolling! :)
Spring time cheer, and spirited joy, on this beautiful spring day, with the sun shining, and lots of nature spirit all around :) my family and i hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying a beautiful day :) it's that time of the year, the spring season is blossoming all around :) it's truly incredible to see :) We've been counting down to these wonderful spring days, and our baking friday adventrues : )there's so many great things going on, and many special memories being made :) it's been a big month of April, and now May is on it's way :) There's lots more to look forward too :)
This morning, we had a sweet new spirited spring day, rising and shining, with sunshine hope :) this is the time of the year, when we cheer for the sun to shine, and to bring that spring warmth, for the plants, and nature surrounding :) It was a really sweet morning :) i wished Kayla and Taylynn and our family a happy baking friday, and i love to share your lovely happy baking friday wishes with my family :) Thank you everyone, so very much! :) i began my day with a nice nature walk :) there's just something so sweet, and inviting about the nature, when the sun is rising up, and the blue sky shining. :) i put lots of goodies, all around our yard, for our nature animal friends :) They always enjoy their baking friday breakfast feasts :)
i was outside in our backyard, and was watching some of the birds, Mr. Nut Squirrel, and guess who i saw? Mr. BUZZ THE BUMBLE BEE!!! :) awww! : )During sunrise hour! :) Buzz was buzzing over by our temperature gage, almost as if the Bee was seeing what the temperature was, and then flew off into the yard :) i thought about how incredible it is, Spring time nature, and it's here, and blossoming beautifully :) the bumble bees are becoming BUZZY BUSY BEES, as the flowers are blossoming, and our fruit trees are getting ready to blossom :) It's like a whole new world out there, with the nature :) it's truly amazing, and incredible :) i love it! :) i checked in on our plants this morning, they continue to flourish nicely :) We have 3 tulips, hyacinth's, and a wave of happy golden daffodils blossoming :)
Around mid-morning, i began to gather baking friday supplies, and decorations, and ventured out into our kitchen, to begin setting up, and decorating our kitchen for our super fun adventure :) i brought some of our new lovely decorative treasures into our kitchen today, including my nice new sunflower coasters :) Spring spirited decorating : )We have a very special shoutout, and thank you, for my dear, and lovely mom, and dad :) They went shopping today, and picked up baking friday supplies :) it's so nice, and sweet of them :) we all love to chip in each week to get baking friday supplies :) Thank you mom and dad, so very much! :) i cooked a nice lunch, brewed a vanilla iced coffee, and went back outside for a nice mid-day nature walk :) i heard buzz the bumble bee buzzing around our garden :) it sure is wonderful to see all of the nature, to feel it in my heart, seeing the nature blossoming all around, it's incredible! : )during the early afternoon, i enjoyed some nice time here on ds, writing to friends :)
Around 3pm, i began to go back out into our kitchen to put the finishing touches on our kitchen preparations :) my mom was doing some cooking for my dad, i washed a casserole dish, and also washed our pizza baking pan :) Kayla and Taylynn arrived home shortly after 3pm, and Jenn and Mikey came over :) we were all hanging out, and getting ready to bake :) Some weeks, Taylynn likes to have some snacks, and watches tv, or plays outside, after school, but we always mention to her, she's welcome to come out into the kitchen if she wants to join in on the adventure :)
Each week, we love to use our nice baking friday supplies :) over the years, my family and i have recieved many wonderful aprons, oven mits, kitchen towels, and hot mats, that we love to use, for our baking friday adventures :) These nice supplies, are always a very special part of baking friday :) i texted friends throughout the course of the day, to wish them a happy baking friday :) Thank you everyone, so very much, for the nice texts :) our kitchen was all set, and ready, and we were all ready to begin to get the flour flying in the air in the kitchen :) Calling all cookie monsters! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)
We began our super fun adventure! :) We first began by preparing the pizza calzones :) Kayla and i have been teaching Mikey a lot about baking :) he also learns a lot, from Jenn and Mike, as he helps them bake :) we've been teaching Mikey, about the pizza dough, how to put flour down on the counter, so that the pizza dough can be rolled :) Mikey's very proud, and loves to help out with baking friday :) we began to get the FLOUR flying in the air in the kitchen! :) hehe! :) We love to clap the flour in the air :) it's part of the baking friday fun! :)
We were rolling the pizza dough, into a nice big round dough :) i then used a knife, to cut the dough in half :) Kayla and Mikey, and i each got the pizza sauce, and cheese, we began to spread some pizza sauce on half ot he dough, and then tried some of the mozzarella cheese :) Delicious! :) yum! :) We were sprinkling the cheese on the sauce, and Kayla and i then showed Mikey, how we fold over the dough, to make the pizza calzones :) he was so happy, and he loves to learn :) i said, "Mikey, you're in charge of the next step" :) he was spreading butter on the pizza pan :) he did great! :) Kayla and i love to encourage Mikey, and he's so proud, and smiles: ) We love sharing smiles in the kitchen :)
We used a spatula, to put the pizza calzones on the baking pan :) i then melted some butter, and we sprinkled the butter on the pizza calzones :) i then put the calzones into the oven to bake! bake! bake! :) i sure was getting hungry! :) i love pizza calzones! :) We did some cleaning up in the kitchen, and swept the flour on the floor :) it was then time, to prepare the rice krispies treats :) an all-time favorite treat :)
i got a cooking pot, and Mikey put a stick of butter into the cooking pan, i then put the cooking pot on the stove, the butter was melting nicely :) once the butter had melted, Kayla poured the marshmallows into the cooking pot, and i used a huge spoon to stir the marshmallows :) Earlier, Mikey had enjoyed a couple marshmallows, a nice treat :) Kayla and Mikey got the rice krispies ready, we needed 6 cups of rice krispies :) once the marshmallows were all melted, we began to put the rice krispies into the marshmallows, i used the huge spoon to stir and stir :) i had a nice casserole dish all prepared, with butter inside the dish, and i then poured the rice krispies/marshmallows into the dish :) we smoothed out the rice krispies treats :) they came out great! :)
The Pizza calzones had finished baking, we were checking in on them from time to time :) the calzones baked so nicely, with a buttery golden crust, delicious! :) i couldn't wait to slice the calzone, to enjoy some :) i took pictures of the treats, and tidy up the kitchen a bit. :) We were showing everyone the goodies, the treats came out so nice :)i had a small slice of calzone with some of the extra pizza sauce, awesome!!! :) Kayla had a rice krispies treat, and i had one too : )they are nice buttery! :) i thanked Kayla and Mikey for helping bake goodies :) We had so much fun, and we have many more super fun Spring time baking friday adventures planned, including our annual campfire themed baking friday adventure :) We have a very special shoutout, to family and friends :) We love to hear about the nice foods, and goodies you all are baking ,and cooking throughout the week :) We're always with eachother in spirit, in our kitchens :) this is so much fun, and very special :) many great memories being made, to always cherish and treasure :) baking friday! :) We love it!!! :) Pizza Calzones, and Rice Krispies Treats, dedicated to our wonderful family and friends :) We love you all so very very much! :) April 25th, 2014 :) Happy baking friday everyone! :)
We're enjoying a beautiful day! :) baking friday! :) We love it!!! :) my family and i are doing well, and are in good spirits :) it's been an awesome week, with lots of spring time nature, many special memories being made :) We're so very happy, thankful, and blessed to have the wonderful opportunity, to celebrate special days, and times like this :) The spirit of spring season is in the air :) The weekend is arriving with lots of excitement too :) We may go shopping tomorrow, i'd love to go to walmart, or the dollar store to browse around :) at walmart, i'd love to check out the clothes, and also the small tables aisle, and lamps :) i may buy another small lamp for my computer room table for near my writing area :) if we go shopping this weekend, i'll share all about our adventures :) i've got a nice dunkin donuts gift card, i'd love to get an iced coffee :) i'm craving a caramel iced coffee :) it's gonna be an awesome weekend! :)
on sunday, if the weather is nice and warm, i'd love to do some nice garden work :) i want to clean, and organize the rest of our gardens, and may plant some flowers seeds in planters :) i'm so hopeful it'll be sunny and in the 70's, for some awesome garden time : )i'll keep everyone updated :) i'm feeling a great peace, and spirited energy within :) Taking good care, good health, happiness, peace, enjoying very special times, with family and friends :) There's many more great things to look forward too :) Tonight, i'm going to call our dear friend Holly :) We love to talk, and are going to watch an episode of "Most Haunted", and an episode of Ghost Adventures, on the travel channel :) it's paranormal night, on the travel channel :) my family and i thank you all so very much, for all that you do for us :) You all are wonderfully nice, sweet, kind, thoughtful, and generous :) We deeply appreciate everything, with all of the love of our hearts :) BIG GROUP SUNNY SUNFLOWER HUG! :) my family and i hope everyone enjoys a wonderful weekend :)
