baking friday! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's baking friday! :) oh my! :) a super fun, and super sweet, BEACH PARTY LIGHTHOUSE themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen!!! :) this was so much fun! :) we SET SAIL into the seaside today, for some awesome baking friday fun! :) a sweet beach party in the kitchen, with a lighthouse theme! :) It's surfs up time, as we were having fun in the summer sun! :) this was one of the most wildest, and funnest baking friday adventures we've ever had! :) We joined our dear, and lovely friend Dezna, for this very special beach lighthouse theme today :) awww! :) We love, cherish, and treasure these very special times :) We found some SUPER COOL treasures for our beach/lighthouse cake today, including a crab, starfish, and sand dollar! :) it's a sweet classic, and golden summer day! :) we wish you all could come over to build a sand castle with us, and enjoy some delicious treats we made today, for baking friday! :) We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventrues with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today my little nieces Kayla, Taylynn, and i baked a beach lighthouse themed cake, and made seashells shaped chocolates :) it was so much fun! :) We had our kitchen all set up, and decorated with this awesome seaside theme :) it was like we were at the beach, for some fun in the summer sun! :) We brought all of our lighthouses decoratives into the kitchen, sailboat napkins, and lots more, as we were so very deeply into the adventure! :) This is a sweet rocking and rolling day! :) We've been looking forward to this very special adventure :) Earlier this month, when our dear friend Dezna and i talked on the phone, we mentioned about how we'd love to have another lighthouse themed baking friday adventure, like we had a couple years ago. :) Dezna and i both said, "lets make this adventure happen!" :) awww! :) Sweet!!! :)
my family and i love the wonderful seaside. :) For as long as i can remember, we have enjoyed each year, traveling down by the water, seeing the wonderful sights all around :) from the pure sand, to the sweet glistening glow of the sparkling water as the sun shines upon the water. :) seagulls soaring around, collecting seashells, and enjoying all of the wonderful joys, of that sweet fresh crisp ocean air. :) a nice breeze, that makes your spirit soar :) it's so nice, being down by the water. :) our dear friend Dezna, and many other friends, live by the seaside, and it's so nice, and a pure joy, hearing about the wonderful seaside, and getting to share our seaside with everyone :) part of the great joys of being down by the water, is setting the beautiful lighthouses :)
my dad, and i, and our family, love lighthouses, and over the years, we have collected lighthouses decoratives :) We've recieved some in the mail, from friends, all around the world, and my dad also has given us some really neat lighthouses and seaside posters, from when he use too work at the print shop :) our favorite lighthouse, is the New London, Ledge Lighthouse, in New London, Connecticut :) When we travel down there, we can see that lighthouse out in the water. :) my dad has some decoratives, and i have some decoratives too, featuring lighthouses. :) it's awesome to see them, and to think about how wonderfully historic the lighthouses are. :) it's really neat :) all of the years, the lighthouses have seen, and helping fisherman over the years, to help guide them during their journeys on the seaside. :) my dad was so very heart-touched today, when he saw our lighthouse posters in our kitchen, as a very special part of our kitchen decorations. :) We did, one of our biggest decorative displays, that we have ever done :) it looked amazing, and i have lots and lots of pictures to share with you all :) my dad was reminising today, about when he remembered how they did the lighthouses/seaside posters, before the shop closed in 2011. he loved seeing the posters again, it brought back lots of memories for him :) i would love to share, a special seaside memory with you all. :)
Back in the late 1980's, and early 1990's, my family and i use too pack a nice picnic lunch in our cooler, with lots of foods, sodas, and our clamming rakes, and equipment, and we use too travel to Wickford, Rhode Island :) there was a clamming spot there, that was very amazing! :) right down by the waterside, with a huge bridge off into the distance. :) We use too go there on sundays, we'd be there, all day, we would clam, be by the waterisde, and i remember having lunch there with my family, and i remember walking and finding these huge seashells, and i would put the seashells up to my ears, and could hear the sound of the ocean! :) We use too get bucket full of steamers clams, and quahogs clams my brother use too get, and we'd travel home, and buy some fresh picked farmlands corn, and we'd have a sunday dinner feast, that was so nice :) these special memories, i think of today, as we had a very cool seaside, beach, lighthouse themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen :)
This morning, a wonderful new summer morning, rising and shining :) i wished Kayla, Taylynn, and our family, a happy baking friday, and shared with them, all of your wonderful happy baking friday wishes :) You all are so nice, and sweet :) Thank you everyone, so very much! :) We were so happy and excited about our super fun adventure today! :) i got a big bowl of goodies for our nature animal friends, and went outside for a sweet sunrise nature walk :) those sweet golden beams!!! of sunshine trickling through the sweet blue sky, lighting a golden glow upon our plants, and flowers :) Nature, rising and shining, as the birds began to sing, and the wonderful joys, of a sweet new day :) The hummingbirds were out and about with the bluejays this morning, and lots of sparrow birds, and black birds, and squirrels, gathering goodies :) they love their baking friday breakfeast feast! : )Awww! :)
We have a very special shoutout, and thank you, for my dear, and lovely mom, and sister Lisa :) they went to the grocery store yesterday evening, to pick up baking friday supplies :) it's so nice, and sweet of them :) Thank you mom and Lisa, so very much! :) they help make baking friday possible each week :) around mid-morning, i began to gather baking friday supplies, and decoratives, and ventured out into our kitchen to begin setting up, and decorating our kitchen :) Kayla and Taylynn joined in on the decorating :) We had our lighthouses, seashells, seaside themed napkins, posters, and we were all ready, to decorate! :) We decorated so very nicely, and were so happy and excited, about how our kitchen looked all decorating :) it looked like a beach seaside! :) awesome!!! :) i cooked a nice lunch, and enjoyed a mid-day nature walk, and tended our plants :) i gave our plants a nice watering :) they soaked up the nice water, and plenty of sunshine today :)
Around early afternoon, Kayla, Taylynn, and i were all set, and ready to bake! :) We were gearing up, for a beach party in the kitchen! :) i wore my new apron that our dear and lovely friend Cj's (ddeadred) and her family sentme, plus we use our nice oven mits, kitchen towels, and pot holders that we have recieved from friends, all around the world. :) each one, is very special, and unique. :) we get lots of nice use, from all of our baking friday supplies. :) i sent texts to friends today to wish them a happy baking friday. :) Thank you everyone, for the wonderful texts! :) You all are always with us in spirit in the kitchen during our adventures, and we're with you all in spirit too. :) our kitchen was all set, and ready, and we were ready to bake! :) Calling all cookie monsters! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)
We began our super fun adventure! :) BEACH PARTY!!! :) i mentioned to Kayla, Taylynn, and our family, that many friends, from all around the world, are baking goodies today, and throughout the week, and also cooking lots of yummy foods :) We're with eachother in spirit, in our kitchens :) We first began to prepare the Beach/Lighthouse themed cake! :) We got nice yummy vanilla cake :) i said to Kayla, "pick out the best 2 eggs ever!" :) awww! :) Taylynn said, "oh goodie! i get to crack open an egg!" :) awww! :) Kaylal and Taylynn love to help, they're great helpers :) Kayla opened the fridge, and selected the eggs :) We then began to add the ingredients into the bowl, cake mix, 2 eggs, melted butter, and a cup of water :) We got some spoons, and Kayla and Taylynn began to super stir!!! :) they did a great job! :) We were having lots of fun, and talking about baking friday, and summer time, and about upcoming baking friday adventrues throughout the rest of summer, and into the fall season :) i used butter to grease the cake baking pan, and we then added in the cake mix, and i put the cake into the oven to bake! bake! bake! :) i love that sweet scent of vanilla cake baking :) We got some hershey's chocolate bars, and had our seashells shaped chocolate molds, to make the chocolates :) There's starfish shape, and all kinds of seashells shaped :) We put the hershey's chocolate into a bowl, and i put the bowl into the microwave for about 30 seconds, then stirred the chocolate, and then put into the microwave for another 10 seconds :) the chocolate melted nicely :) we then used a spoon to add the chocolate into the seashells shaped chocolate molds :) We made lots of nice chocolates, and put them into the fridge to harden :) Kayla and i each had a small piece of chocolate bar, we love chocolate! :) while the cake was still baking, Kayla, Taylynn, and i began to prepare the frostings :)
We love using the food coloring, to make the different colored frostings :) We made blue, and dark yellow, for the cake, and we kept some white frosting, and made red frosting, for the lighthouse :) The cake finished baking, it baked really nicely :) i brought the cake out of the oven to cool down, and while it was cooling down, Kayla and i got an ice cream cone, and we decorated the cone, with the red and white frosting, to make it into a lighthouse for the cake :) We also used a dab of yellow frosting, for the light on the lighthouse :) it looks awesome! :) Once the cake had finished cooling down, we began to decorate :)
We first made a nice line in the middle of the cake, to separate the ocean/beach area. :) We used blue frosting, to make the wave ocean on the cake, and we then used yellow frosting, to make the sand. :) This was awesome! :) We love decorating! :) We then put the crab decorative, starfish, and sand dollar decorative on the cake, and the lighthouse :) We used our nice seaside themed napkins, that our dear friends Maria (Love4You), her husband Lionel, their daughter Denise, and family sent us, to make the background around the cake :) i took a picture of the cake :) Kayla, Taylynn, and i are so excited! : )The cake came out great! :) i'm gonna have a slice of cake this weekend, it's gonna be nice :) The seashells shaped chocolates finished hardening in the fridge, we put the chocolates into a nice dish :) We had so much fun today, making the chocolates, and baking the cake :) We love baking friday, and looking forward to many more super fun adventures :) we cleaned up the kitchen, and i thanked Kayla and Taylynn for helping :) We have many more super fun baking friday adventures to look forward too :)
a very special shoutout to family and friends, baking and cooking goodies and foods this week. :) my mom, sister Lisa, and niece Alyssa made lots of nice macaroni salad, and pasta salad, and garden salads! our friend Shirley (Squarely) made chicken chili, and baked a cake! our friend Carol (Mycat) cooked a roast! this is awesome! :) it's so much fun, cooking, and baking. :) we love hearing about your cooking, and baking adventures. :) Seaside Beach Lighthouse themed cake, and seashells shaped chocolates, dedicated to our wonderful family, and wonderful friends, and to the wonderful spirit of the season. :) We love you all so very very much! :) many great memories made, to always cherish and treasure. :) baking friday! :) we love it!!! :) August 16nd, 2013 :) Happy baking friday, and happy summer time everyone! :)
We're enjoying a great day! :) baking friday!!! : )we love it! :) my family and i are doing well, and are in good spirits :) We're so very happy, thankful, and blessed, to have the wonderful opportunity to enjoy very special days, and times like this, celebrating in all of the special moments with everyone, and lots of great memories being made :) The summer season continues to shine, as another wonderful weekend arrives :) i want to buy some nice writing supplies, and treasures at the stores this weekend :) i'd love to go shopping at the dollar store, and walmart :) i want to check the hotwheels aisles too :) our dear friend Holly loves hotwheels cars, and has displayed her collection on her wall, she's so happy :) She has an amazing collection of hotwheels :) it's gonna be a sweet weekend :) i look forward to sharing our weekend adventures with everyone in my journal :)
tonight, the brand new season of ghost adventures begins! :) Whooo! :) Holly and i are very happy and excited! :) We've been looking forward to the new season :) we read the preview of tonight's show, it sounds spook-tacular! :) We're gonna watch the show tonight :) We love to talk, and watch ghost adventures :) it's paranormal night on the travel channel :) i've been continuing to do fairly well, with my healthy eating. :) i'm in great spirits, and very happy about how things are going :) On sunday night, there's a chance my dad, brother Bobby, and i may go blueshell crabbing again :) if we go, i'll take lots more pictures, and will share all about our adventure :) There's so many more wonderful things to look forward too :) my family and i love hearing about your days, and adventures, and sharing ours with you all. :) You all are very special friends, and always have a wonderful place in our hearts :) Thank you all so very much, for all that you do for us :) You all are very nice, and sweet :) We deeply appreciate everything, with all of our hearts. :) BIG GROUP HUG :) i'm gonna have some healthy snacks tonight, and watching ghost adventures :) my family and i hope everyone enjoys a wonderfully safe, fun, and happy weekend :)
