baking friday! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's baking friday!!! :) oh my! :) a super fun, and super sweet wholesome, Pumpkin Pie themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen!!! :) This was so much fun! :) and one of the most wonderfully wholesome baking friday adventures we've ever had! :) Come on over, for some homemade Pumpkin Pie! :) awww! :) my mom shared stories with us about how her mom made homemade pumpkin pies when she was a kid. :) we were talking about Thanksgiving, sharing sweet wholesome moments together, in the kitchen, and baked some delicious pumpkin pies. :) i am gonna have a nice slice of pumpkin pie this evening. :) my favorite! :) It's such a wonderfully wholesome time of the year. :) Thanksgiving time is here! :) beginning our countdown to the Thanksgiving holiday, by baking one of the most delicious treats of the season. :)

We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone. :) keeping with the treadition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today my litlte nieces Kayla, Taylynn, and i baked 3 homemade pumpkin pies, using pumpkins we had from October. :) we prepared the pumpkin pies the old fashioned way, just like how the Pilgrim's and Indian's prepared the pumpkin pies. :) We're so very happy, excited, and delighted to celebrate this wonderfully wholesome time of the year with you and your family's :) We're very blessed and thankful for your friendships. :) We wish you all coul come over to enjoy some nice pumpkin pie. :)
It's Thanksgiving time. :) Wonderful November, a month of wholesome blessings, traditions, and heart warming festivities, from all of the special times with family and friends. :) We're with eachother in spirit. :) Thanksgiving holiday is approaching soon. :) When this time of the year arrives, we think of all of the sweet times, to spend with family, friends, and all of the celebrations of the season, that makes November very special, and heart warming. :) we've been looking forward to our super fun baking friday adventure this week. :) We've been looking forward to it all week. :) we've never baked homemade pumpkin pies from scratch before. my mom has shared some wonderful memories, and stories with us, about how her mom use too bake homemade pumpkin pies when she was a kid. :) it was a special tradition she remembers from when she was younger. :) These memories, and traditions, are very special. :) it's such a sweet joy, to hear my mom's memories, and memories from all our family and friends, as we al get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving holiday soon. :)
With November here, and having some extra pumpkins leftover from October, we thought it would be a wonderful opportunity, to bake homemade pumpkin pies for the first time. :) We've been counting down the days to this very special adventure. :) Lots of great spirit, energy, and excitement in the air. :) It's a sweet time, to enjoy traditions. :) i think about, how all throughout the years, the special traditions of the season, of November, cooking, baking, Thanksgiving time, and being able to celebrate it, it's amazing, wonderful, and very beautiful times, that create such wonderfully special memories for our hearts to always cherish, and treasure. :) We're very happy and thankful to celebrate these times with everyone. :)
This morning, a sweet new golden sunny November morning rising and shining, with the birds singing happily outside, and the autumn sun rising up. :) i wished my little nieces Kayla, Taylynn, and our family a happy baking friday, and shared with them, your wonderful happy baking friday wishes. :) You all are so nice, and sweet. :) Thank you everyone, so very much! :) i enjoyed a nice nature walk this morning. :) i bought some nice wheat bread outside for our nature animal friends. :) i spotted lots of birds, and squirrels visiting our yard. :) Mr. Nut Squirrel was in the bird sanctuary, nibble nibble nibbling on the bread. :) so cute, and adorable! :) The sun was rising up and creating a sweet golden glow upon the bird sanctuary, and nature forest in our yard. :) it was such a nice nature walk. :) our nature animal friends love their baking friday breakfast feasts. :) They're stocking up their nests/homes, for the upcoming colder months, so they'll be all set and ready, to be able to enjoy lots of goodies throughout the seasons. :) nature is wonderfully heart warming. :)
We have a very special shoutout, and thank you, for my dear, and lovely mom, and sister Lisa. :) They went to the grocery store and picked up baking friday supplies. :) we needed some nice cans of condensed milk and pie crusts. :) it's so nice and sweet of them. :) Thank you mom and Lisa, so very much! :) They help make baking friday possible each week. :) around mid-morning, i began to gather baking friday supplies and decoratives, and ventured out into our kitchen to begin to set up and decorate our kitchen for our super fun adventure. :) Today, we featured some of our new pumpkin decoratives i got at the dollar store this past weekend. :) it's so much fun decorating the kitchen. :) it looked awesome! :) after decorating the kitchen, i prepared 2 pumpkins for our pumpkin pies. :) our dear, and lovely friend Cj (ddeadred) sent me a nice article about preparing/cooking/baking pumpkins. :) Cj grows pumpkins on her farm, and cooks/bakes with pumpkin, and made me some nice pumpkin butter for my birthday. :) Thank you Cj, so very much for the nice pumpkin article. :) here's a link to the article. :)

We used 1 regular pumpkin, and 1 French pumpkin that we got during our pumpkin picking adventure in Franklin, CT in October. :) i washed the pumpkins, and i then began to slice the pumpkins, i removed the spaghetti part and seeds from the pumpkins, and sliced the pumpkins into nice sized chunks of pumpkins. :) i got some nice water boiling on the stove, i boiled the regular pumpkin first, and then baked the french pumpkin. :) i kept both of the pumpkins separate, as i wanted to see how each pumpkin pie would taste. :) i mashed one of the pumpkins into nice pumpkin puree, and the other pumpkin i kept so that Kayla and Taylynn could mash the pumpkin when they arrived home from school. :) i enjoyed a nice lunch, and early afternoon i spent some nice time here on DS, writing to friends. :) Around 1:15pm, i went back out into our kitchen to begin putting the finishing touches on our kitchen preparations for our adventure. :) Kayla and Taylynn had a half day of school. :) it's parents/teacher conferences week at their school. :) Kayla and Taylynn arrived home, and were so happy and excited to see our kitchen all set up and decorated. :) they got some nice books and school supplies at the book fair at their school. :) Taylynn got a letters/reading book. :) She's learning to read. :) We're so proud of Kayla and Taylynn. :) They love school. :) We were gearing up, for our pumpkin pie themed baking friday adventure. :)
Kayla, and i wore the lovely aprons that our lovely friend Cj's (ddeadred) mom sewn for us and the apron that Deb (Stardust) sent us :) We also love to use our wonderful Oven Mits, Kitchen Towels, and Pot Holders, that our dear, and lovely friends sent us, from all around the world. :) We also use our nice journals. :) we love writing baking friday notes. :) You all are with us in spirit, during baking friday. :) You all are wonderful, and make baking friday so very extra special. :) i texted friends to wish them a happy baking friday. :) Thank you everyone, so very much for the nice texts. :) Our kitchen was all set, and ready, and we were all ready to bake yummy treats! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)
We began our super fun adventure! :) This was awesome! :) my mom and niece Alyssa joined us in the kitchen. :) my mom was sharing stories with us about how her mom use too bake homemade pumpkin pies when she was a kid. :) We were so very into the sweet moments, of this wonderful time in the kitchen. :) You all were right there with us in spirit. :) Kayla and Taylynn mashed the 2nd pumpkin. :) They are great helpers! :) They lvoe to help, and they get so proud when they help. :) we had lots of nice pumpkin. :) we got some bowls, and began to prepare the pumpkin pies. :) i said to Kayla, "pick out the best 4 eggs ever!" :) She loves to pick out the eggs. :) She opened up the fridge, and selected the eggs. :) awesome selections! :) i mentioned to Kayla, Taylynn, and our family that many friends all around the world, are baking goodies today and this week. :) We're with eachother in spirit in our kitchens. :)
We prepared the french pumpkin pie first. :) We put 2 and a half cups of pumpkin into the bowl, and then added in 2 eggs, cinnamon, all spice, a little salad, 1 can of condensed milk, and 3/4th cup of brown sugar. :) we got some spoons, and began to stir and stir. :) super stirrers! :) super stirrers! :) we were talking about Thanksgiving, and how the Pilgrim's and Indian's made pumpkin pies. :) a sweet tradition of the season. :) we prepared the regular pumpkin the same way, with the exact amount of cinnamon and all spice. :) We had 2 nice bowls of pumpkin pie filling. :) it smelled great! :) We were so very into our adventure, and making the homemade pumpkin pies from scratch. :)
We got some pie baking dishes, and i used butter to grease the dishes, and we put the pie crusts into the dishes. :) we had enough to make 3 pumpkin pies, so we made a homemade pie crust for the 3rd pie, we used flour, a little wheat flour, some butter, and cold water. :) The crust came out great. :) we then filled each pie crust with the pumpkin pie filling, my niece Alyssa was helping us with the pies too. :) She loves pumpkin pie. :) i put aluminum foil over the pies, and put the pies into the oven to bake! bake! bake! :) oh my! :) sweet scent of pumpkin pies baking! :) i was getting super hungry! :)
We did some nice cleaning in the kitchen. :) we let the pies bake for a little over an hour. :) The pies baked so nicely. :) yum! :) i absolutely can't wait to try a nice slice of pumpkin pie. :) Everyone is looking forward to having some pumpkin pie. :) we're so happy and excited! :) This was a wonderful experience today, baking the pumpkin pies, from scratch. :) We'll definitely bake homemade pumpkin pies again. :) These are such sweet times, and wonderful traditions. :) Thank you all so very much, for joining us in our kitchen each week, and for welcoming us into your kitchens. :) This is so much fun, and very special. :) We had so much fun today baking pumpkin pies. :) There's many more super fun baking friday adventures to look forward too. :) next friday, we want to have another nice Thanksgiving themed adventure. :) here's a link to the recipe we used to bake the pumpkin pies :)
