baking friday :) Homemade Pickles and buttery sweet Cinnamon Rolls :)
"pickles and cinnamon rolls! It's summer time!"- my little nieces Kayla and Taylynn said that today, during baking friday! :)
baking friday! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's baking friday! :) oh my! :) A super fun, flour flying, and pickle party in the kitchen themed baking friday adventure!!! :) WOW! :) We had the pickle juice cooking, and we were getting the flour flying in the air! :) Stuffing the jars with lots of nice cucumbers, garlic, and pickle spice! :) this was rocking, and summer rolling! :) woot! :) our entire kitchen smells like pickles! :) hehe! : )This was so much fun! :) i just had to brew a sweet fresh iced coffee, to enjoy with one of these delicious cinnamon-eee sweet and buttery cinnamon rolls! :) The baking friday party is on! :) come on over, to enjoy some yummy treats! :) CHEERS! :)
We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today Kayla, Taylynn, and i made homemade pickles, and we baked some buttery and cinnamon-eee sweet cinnamon rolls :) Yummy Yummy! :) this is so much fun! :) Right after the cinnamon rolls had finished baking, i brewed a fresh iced coffee,i just had to have a nice cinnamon rolls, as they smelled so nice, as they baked :) We added extra cinnamon to the rolls :) my family and i hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying a wonderful 1st day of August :) the summer season is in full swing, and one of our favorite traditions each summer, is making fresh homemade pickles :) Today, we made some pickles, that are regular, and sweet pickles too :) it's the first time ever, that we've made the sweet pickles :) We tried a whole new recipe today, that called for some pickling seasoning :) We even added in some garlic :) my niece Alyssa can't wait to have some pickles! : )She called earlier, and asked about the pickles! :) hehe! :) this is awesome fun! :)

i began my day today, with a nice sunrise nature walk :) The birds were all out and about, singing happily this morning :) i put some nice rice krispies, breads, almonds, and peanuts all around our yard, for the birds and squirrels :) they love their baking friday breakfast feasts :) awww! :) i checked in on our plants, they continue to grow, and flourish so nicely :) there's lots of amazing nature joys, this time of the year :) i've been seeing many butterflies, out and about, all around our gardens, and also those sweet classic, and golden sunny sunflower smiles, always warms my heart, and makes me smile :) pure wonderful summer time :) it's amazing! :)
We have a very special SUPER shoutout, and THANK YOU, for my dear, and lovely mom, and dad :) they went shopping today, and picked up baking friday supplies :) it's very nice, and sweet of them :) they were looking for the dill seasoning packets at walmart, my mom called me, and mentioned they didn't have any, but they found some nice pickle/spice, and i was so happy, and thankful :) i thought we were gonna have to change our baking friday plans, but was so relieved, tha tthey found the pickle/spice, i looked up some recipes online, and knew that we'd still be able to make the pickles :) SWEET!!! and we did make some sweet pickles today :)
i love to decorate our kitchen, for our super fun adventures :) i made a cool pickles banner today, the color green, for PICKLES! :) i knew my niece Alyssa was gonna be so thrilled, that we are making pickles, she loves pickles, they are one of her favorite foods, and treats :) She loves pickles so much, she even sometimes drinks pickle juice! :) hehe! : )She loves it! :) our kitchen looked awesome! :) i brewed an iced coffee, cooked a delicious lunch :) i had a nice salad, mixed vegetables, and baked salsa tortilla wrap :) lunch was delicious! :) i went back outside around mid-day, for a nice nature walk :) early afternoon, i enjoyed some time here on ds, writing to friends :) my sister Jenn called my mom, she mentioned that they have been busy on friday's, and haven't been able to make it over for baking friday, but once the fall season/september rolls around, Mikey will have more time to join us for baking friday adventures :) We miss him in the kitchen, but he's definitely with us in spirit :)
Around late afternoon, 2:30pm, i asked Kayla and Taylynn if they were ready to begin our super fun adventure :) they said, "sure!" :) awww! :) we were gearing up :) i washed a cooking pan, and also got the cooking pan all set, to make the pickles :) i washed our pickle jars :) We got lots of nice canning jars :) Each week, we get lots of nice use, from our baking friday supplies :) our awesome aprons, oven mits, kitchen towels, hot mats, we use our baking friday supplies a lot, even on other days of the week, our baking supplies come in very handy :) Throughout the course of the day, i texted friends to wish them a happy baking friday :) Thank you everyone, for the next texts :) our kitchen was all set and ready, and we were all set, to begin our adventure :) Calling all cookie monsters! : )cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)
We began our super fun adventure! : )we first began by preparing the pickles :) We used a new recipe this year, to make the pickles :) we first made some sweet pickles :) i found the recipe online :) we poured 1 cup of water/1 cup of vinegar, into the cooking pan, then added in some salt/and 1 half cup of white sugar. :) as the pickle juice began to heat up, i washed the 4 cucumbers, and began to slice the cucumbers :) we made pickle chips, the classic vlassic pickle slices, plus, some spears shaped pickles :) Kayla and Taylynn, and i added the cucumber slices into the jars :) we also added into the jars, some pickle seasoning, and some minced garlic to add extra flavor :) Once the first batch of pickle juice came to a boil, i then used a laddle to pour the hot pickle juice into the jar :) i made sure to put a petal spoon in the jar, while pouring in the hot pickle juice :) this helps to keep the jar from breaking :) We made 2 jars of sweet pickles :) i've been eating more sweet pickles lately, it's really nice :)
i then began to get a 2nd batch of pickle juice ready :) For this batch, i used 3 cups of water, 3 cups of vinegar, then added in some pickle seasoning :) it was heating up nicely :) We were enjoying a nice talk :) Kayla and Taylynn are returning to school, on August 27th, for their new school year :) they are very excited :) They've been having an awesome summer vacation :) they set up the tent in our front yard yesterday, and had a fun camping adventure with their friends, in our front yard :) they even ate lunch in the tent yesterday :) they are having many cool times, and fun memories being made this summer season :)
Kayla and Taylynn were so proud, they got to add the cucumber slices into the jars, with the pickle seasoning, and also the garlic :) our kitchen smelled like pickles! : )We love it! :) once the pickle juice came to a boil, i used the laddle to fill up the 5 jars of pickles, so we had an awesome, 7 jars of pickles! :) WOW! :) 4 cucumbers, made all of these nice pickles :) We're so happy and excited! :) i put the pickles on the side counter, and we did some cleaning up in the kitchen, and got ready to make the cinnamon rolls :)

We're enjoying a SUPER MEGA SWEET AWESOME DAY!!! :) baking friday! : )we love it!!! :) my family and i are doing well, and are in good spirits :) We're enjoying a really nice week :) There's lots of great things going on, and many special memories being made :) We wish you all could come over to enjoy some goodies with us :) We love this time of the year, the month of august is here, and there's such a wonderful spirit of summer time, in the air :) i recieved my halloween postcards book in the mail today! :) it's awesome!!! :) WOW! :) The weekend is arriving, with lots of spirit :) i'm very excited about the weekend :) i'd love to go to the dollar store tomorrow, to buy some goodies, and treasures :) i love browsing around there :) my mom mentioned we may go to the supercenter too! :) also this weekend, we hope to go for a nice car ride, and getting some iced cold drinks :) i love those iced coffees :) i look forward to sharing our weekend adventures with everyone :) tomorrow night, our dear friend Holly and i are going to watch the "Gremlins" movie :) there's been lots of nice nature/gardening joys this week :) our plants will be recieving nice rain nourishment this upcoming weekend :) it'll be a big growing week for the plants :) i look forward to picking some nice string beans :) it's gonna be awesome! :) i'm feeling a great joy, happiness, peace, and excitement within, celebrating each day to the fullest, with my wonderful family and friends :) There's many more great things to look forward too :) tonight, i'm going to call our dear friend Holly : )we love to talk, and are going to watch 2 episodes of Most Haunted show :) it's our paranormal shows party night :) my family and i thank you all so very much, for all that you do for us :) You all are wonderfully nice, and sweet :) We deeply appreciate everything, with all of the love of our hearts :) BIG GROUP HAPPY FRIENDSHIP HUG :) my family and i hope everyone enjoys a great weekend :)

Ready to make pickles! :) We've got our vinegar, water, cucumbers, and jars, all set and ready! : )LETS MAKE PICKLES!!! :)
It's a super fun project, to make the pickles :) it takes lots of nice steps, to prepare the pickles :) We first got a huge cooking pot, filled with water, vinegar, stirring and stirring the pickle juice :) i use a laddle to stir it. :) our entire kitchen smells like pickles! :) we let the pickle juice heat up :)
As the pickle juice was heating up, we prepare the cucumbers :) We love to slice the pickles, into many different shapes/varieties :) pickle chips/spears/vlassic classic slices :) We add the cucumbers into the jars, we also add some minced garlic into the jars, for extra flavoring :)
Once the pickle juice came to a boil, i then used the laddle to add the pickle juice into the jars :) i put a spoon in each jar, while adding in the pickle juice, i then removed the spoons, and put the lids on each pickle jar :) once the jars are sealed, they can sit for a while, and then be put into the fridge :) about 24 hours, the pickles are ready to eat, but we always open up a jar about an hour or 2 later, to enjoy some pickles :)

We're enjoying a SUPER MEGA SWEET AWESOME DAY!!! :) baking friday! : )we love it!!! :) my family and i are doing well, and are in good spirits :) We're enjoying a really nice week :) There's lots of great things going on, and many special memories being made :) We wish you all could come over to enjoy some goodies with us :) We love this time of the year, the month of august is here, and there's such a wonderful spirit of summer time, in the air :) i recieved my halloween postcards book in the mail today! :) it's awesome!!! :) WOW! :) The weekend is arriving, with lots of spirit :) i'm very excited about the weekend :) i'd love to go to the dollar store tomorrow, to buy some goodies, and treasures :) i love browsing around there :) my mom mentioned we may go to the supercenter too! :) also this weekend, we hope to go for a nice car ride, and getting some iced cold drinks :) i love those iced coffees :) i look forward to sharing our weekend adventures with everyone :) tomorrow night, our dear friend Holly and i are going to watch the "Gremlins" movie :) there's been lots of nice nature/gardening joys this week :) our plants will be recieving nice rain nourishment this upcoming weekend :) it'll be a big growing week for the plants :) i look forward to picking some nice string beans :) it's gonna be awesome! :) i'm feeling a great joy, happiness, peace, and excitement within, celebrating each day to the fullest, with my wonderful family and friends :) There's many more great things to look forward too :) tonight, i'm going to call our dear friend Holly : )we love to talk, and are going to watch 2 episodes of Most Haunted show :) it's our paranormal shows party night :) my family and i thank you all so very much, for all that you do for us :) You all are wonderfully nice, and sweet :) We deeply appreciate everything, with all of the love of our hearts :) BIG GROUP HAPPY FRIENDSHIP HUG :) my family and i hope everyone enjoys a great weekend :)

Happy baking friday!!! :) calling all cookie monsters! : )come on over, for a pickles party in the kitchen!!! :) woot! :) Happy August! :) it's that time of the year, summer in full swing, lots of great festivities, traditions, and celebrations, that makes summer season shine :) Each summer, we love to make fresh homemade pickles :) We love the adventure, as we gather the ingredients, we put pickles into the jars with garlic, and we then get the pickle juice ready by boiling the water/vinegar/dill seasoning on the stove :) Pickles are one of our favorite foods/treats, they go great with salads, sandwiches, or just having a nice pickle for snack :) We're so happy and excited! :) We're also making cinnamon rolls today :) Delicious! :) it's a baking friday summer time party in the kitchen! :) my niece Alyssa is thrilled, that we're making pickles :) She LOVES pickles, they're one of her favorite treats! :) This is a picture of our kitchen all set up, and decorated, for our super fun adventure :) thank you all for joining us in our kitchen each week, and for welcoming us into your kitchens :) This is so much fun, and very special :) calling all cookie monsters! :) cookie monsters unite! : )it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)

Ready to make pickles! :) We've got our vinegar, water, cucumbers, and jars, all set and ready! : )LETS MAKE PICKLES!!! :)
It's a super fun project, to make the pickles :) it takes lots of nice steps, to prepare the pickles :) We first got a huge cooking pot, filled with water, vinegar, stirring and stirring the pickle juice :) i use a laddle to stir it. :) our entire kitchen smells like pickles! :) we let the pickle juice heat up :)
As the pickle juice was heating up, we prepare the cucumbers :) We love to slice the pickles, into many different shapes/varieties :) pickle chips/spears/vlassic classic slices :) We add the cucumbers into the jars, we also add some minced garlic into the jars, for extra flavoring :)
Once the pickle juice came to a boil, i then used the laddle to add the pickle juice into the jars :) i put a spoon in each jar, while adding in the pickle juice, i then removed the spoons, and put the lids on each pickle jar :) once the jars are sealed, they can sit for a while, and then be put into the fridge :) about 24 hours, the pickles are ready to eat, but we always open up a jar about an hour or 2 later, to enjoy some pickles :)

Another long day for me today leaves me exhausted... I tootled around the farm and did my normal things, made a quick run to town, and spent the day baking some FAUX FRIED GREEN TOMATOES AND ZUCCHINI!! NOW, I am really craving a really RIPE TOMATO--with a bit of heat coming, it won\'t be long!!!

Those Pickles are going to be so Tasty! I remember when I was a kid helping my grandmother make pickles. My favorite were Dill and bread and butter!
