baking friday :) Halloween Candy Corn Brittle, Popcorn Balls, Maple Bacon Cookies! :)

"This candy is good!" "Chris, i wanna add in the popcorn!"- my little nephew Mikey, and niece Taylynn said that today, during baking friday! :)
baking friday! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's HALLOWEEN TIME baking friday!!! :) oh my! :) A super fun, CANDY-LICIOUS, HALLOWEEN themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen!!! :) this was so much fun! :) popcorn popping, marshmallows melting, and candy corn aplenty! :) oh wow! :) We had the halloween party celebration going on in the kitchen today, with some SWEET Halloween treats, trying new recipes, and we made halloween popcorn balls, and candy corn brittle, for the first time! :) my niece Alyssa joined in on the baking friday! :) We had some special surprises, for Mikey and Taylynn too! :) Lots of awesome fun, halloween spirit, and many great memories being made :) come on over, for some yummy halloween candy treats! :)

We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today Taylynn, Mikey, Alyssa, and i baked maple bacon cookies, and we also made candy corn brittle/bark, and some nice halloween popcorn balls! :) it was a rocking, and pumpkin rolling fun, adventure in the kitchen, sharing lots and lots of smiles, as we baked up some yummy treats! :) We added rice krispies into the candy corn bark/brittle, it's like a delicious crunch candy bar! :) mmm mmm! :) We're in chocolate heaven, and halloween season heaven! :) we love it!!! :) awww! :) my family and i hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying a wonderful day! :)
The Spirit of Halloween, is all around, as there's lots of great things going on, and many special memories being made :) i've been thinking of you all often today, and i'm so happy, and thrilled to share all about our halloween baking friday adventure, plus, we going pumpkin picking on sunday! :) The halloween season, is in full swing! :) We're so happy, everyone is enjoying the season, and has been enjoying our seasonal festivities, traditions, and adventures :) It's an awesome time, in the halloween season :) Twas 2 weeks, until Halloween Holiday! :)We're having so much fun, and having the time of our lives, celebrating the season with everyone :) We've been enjoying our halloween themed baking friday adventures this month :) my niece Alyssa, has been joining in on the baking friday fun, and little Mikey was so excited today, to come over to help us bake :) my mom said, Jenn mentioned to her, that Mikey was asking her this afternoon, "is it time to bake yet!" :) awww! :) we put together 2 very special halloween treats bags, for Mikey and Taylynn :) inside each bag, there's popcorn, pretzels, cookies, a candy bar, and a banana :) We love making these special times, and the season, lots of fun, and exciting, for the kids, and for everyone :) As we celebrate the magical spirit of the season, we're with eachother in spirit :)
This morning, the October sun was rising and shining, way up into the sweet blue sky, as that glistening golden glow shined upon the autumn trees, the nature, so very beautiful, this time of the year :) i wished Kayla, Taylynn, and our family, a happy baking friday, and shared with them, your lovely happy baking friday wishes :) thank you everyone, so very much! :) You all are very nice, and sweet :) We've been thinking of Kayla often on friday's, as we miss having her in the kitchen, but she wanted us all to share, she will be returning to the kitchen in November, for our seasonal thanksgiving baking friday's, as the track and field season will be finishing up, at the end of this month. it'll be awesome welcoming Kayla back into the kitchen :) awww! :)
it's a wholesome time of the year, as the autumn season flourishes, blossoming beautifully :) We love to see all of the wonderful nature, and all of these awesome times, that halloween season brings :) We're very happy, and excited! :) i enjoyed a nice nature walk this morning :) i put lots and lots of goodies, all around our yard, for our nature animal friends :) They love to gather the goodies, especially on baking friday! :) awww! :) We've been looking forward to our baking friday adventure, and trying some new recipes today :) we were so excited, as we had our nice bag of autumn mix candy corn, and mellowcreme pumpkins treats, that our dear friends Judy (Ladybug7), Denny, and family sent us :)
We have a very special shoutout, and thank you, for my dear, and lovely mom, dad, sister Lisa, and friends. :) Today, we used our nice baking friday supplies, and decorations, that everyone has gotten for us, and given us, over the years :) We love our aprons, oven mitts, kitchen towels, and many other baking friday supplies, decorations, and also, each week, our nice baking friday supplies, that we all love to chip in, to get :) it's very special, this wonderful tradition, we love very much :) During October, we love to light up our kitchen, with the glowing spirit, energy, and excitement, of halloween time, decorating, and it making it look so nice, like a happy smiling halloween pumpkin! :)
i had so much fun this morning, decorating our kitchen, with a BOO-eautiful halloween theme :) i love getting into the spirit of decorating :) We do some of our biggest decorative displays, this time of the year, for halloween season :) i took some pictures of our kitchen, i also enjoyed making a nice lunch, and texted friends to wish them a happy baking friday :) it's a cool tradition i look forward too each week :) Early afternoon, i enjoyed some nice time here on ds, writing to friends, and i also went outside again, to put some more bird seeds out in the bird sanctuary area :) it was approaching closer to 3pm, almost baking time! :) i went out into our kitchen, and was getting everything all set, and ready, for our baking friday adventure :) my mom mentioned, that Jenn and Mikey were on their way, and soon Taylynn would be arriving home from school :)
Jenn and Mikey arrived :) Mikey was so excited, as we gave him his halloween goodies/treats bag :) Taylynn arrived home :) my niece Alyssa was here :) Taylynn mentioned, she'd like to help us with baking friday today, and Alyssa wanted to help too! :) SWEET! :) we were all gathering around, the kitchen was all set :) We gave Taylynn her treats bag, her eyes lit up with excitement! :) awww! :) Mikey was eating his candy bar, he said, "this chocolate is good!" :) hehe! :) i think he ate half the candy bar! :) oh my! :) hehe! :) he was also having some plain popcorn :) i made some popcorn in this nice brown paper bag, i had made the popcorn earlier, 3 bags full, that was 2 bowl fulls of popcorn :) awesome! :) our kitchen was all ready, and we were all set! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :) We began our super fun adventure! :)
We first began, by preparing the candy corn brittle bark :) it's 1st time we've made this :) we poured the chocolate chips, into a nice bowl, and i put the bowl into the microwave, i heated the chocolate chips, for 30 seconds, then we stirred the chocolate a bit, and then heated the chocolate chips for another 15 seconds :) it had melted nicely :) i used butter, to grease a nice casserole dish :) in the bowl of chocolate, we added in some nice candy corn, rice krispies, and halloween themed sprinkles :) it was so nice, having Taylynn, Mikey, and Alyssa, joining me in the kitchen today :) we were sharing some nice halloween smiles today :) We poured the candy corn brittle bark into the casserole dish, we added some more candy corn and sprinkles on top, and i then put the candy corn brittle into the fridge to chill :)
We then began to prepare the halloween popcorn balls :) This is also a new 1st for us, making the popcorn balls :) i put a cooking pot on the stove, with about 3/4th stick of butter :) it began to melt, and we then poured in the marshmallows :) i used a spatula to stir the marsmallows. :) Alyssa added in yellow food coloring, and Mikey added in the red food coloring, to make the melted marshmallow, a cool pumpkin color :) We then added in some popcorn, and i was using the spatula to stir, we then added in more popcorn, and some candy corn :) it was so cool! :) a really neat 1st experience today, for us, making the candy corn brittle bark, and the popcorn balls :) i used butter, to grease a muffin baking pan earlier :) i then used a large spoon, to scoop the popcorn/candy corn/marshmallow into the muffin baking pans, we had 12 awesome popcorn balls! :) Alyssa began to put a nice candy corn, on top of each popcorn ball :) awesome! :)
my mom, sister Jenn, and dad came out into the kitchen, to check in, on the baking friday fun :) this was awesome! :) i love to share with my family, about the nice goodies and foods, you all cook, and bake :) We're with eachother in spirit, during our adventures :) my mom gave us some nice maple bacon cookie mix, with the nice frosting and topping that comes with it :) it's very nice of her :) we prepared the cookies :) Mikey and Taylynn each got to pick out the best egg ever! :) awww! :) We added the ingredients into the bowl, and super stirred! :) i got a cooking baking pan, and greased the pan with butter :) The popcorn balls, were chilling in the fridge :) we put the cookie dough onto baking pan, and i put the cookies into the oven to bake :) they baked really nicely :) i began to take pictures, of the popcorn balls, and the candy corn brittle :) it came out really good, i tried a small piece of the candy corn brittle, it came out really good :) delicious! :)
Once the cookies had finished baking, and cooled down, we then spread the maple bacon frosting onto the cookies, and sprinkled the nice topping, for the cookies :) This was so much fun today, and such a very special time we shared, baking goodies :) We wish you all could come over to enjoy some goodies :) We love this time of the year, and all of the great memories being made :) i thanked Mikey, Taylynn, and Alyssa for helping bake goodies :) we have 2 more super cool, halloween themed baking friday adventures, to look forward too, this halloween season :) a very special shoutout, to family and friends :) lots of nice cooking, and baking this week :) it's so much fun, and very special, getting to share our adventures with eachother :) Candy Corn Brittle Bark, Halloween Popcorn Balls, and Maple bacon cookies, dedicated to our wonderful family, friends, and to the spook-tacular magical spirit of halloween! :) We love you all so very very much! :) many great memories made, to always cherish, and treasure :) baking friday! :) We love it!!! :) October 17th, 2014 :) Happy baking friday everyone! :)
We're enjoying an AWESOME HALLOWEEN-ISH AUTUMN-EEE DAY! :) baking friday! :) We love it! :) my family and i are doing well, and are in great spirits :) We're having so much fun, celebrating the season with everyone :) The spirit of the season, is all around :) There's lots of great things going on, and many special memories being made :) It's been an amazing week, and the weekend is arriving with lots of excitement :) We're so very happy, excited, and thrilled! :) tomorrow, we're going halloween shopping, at the dollar store :) i'm going to buy some halloween candies, for trick or treating around the world :) i'm gonna buy some goodies too, browsing around :) on sunday, my family and i are going to the pumpkin farm, to buy some pumpkins, for our front yard/steps, and gonna see lots and lots of beautiful fall foilage :) oh my! :) it's gonna be INCREDIBLE!!! :) our pumpkin farm/adventure each year, is one of our favorite traditions, and festivities of the season :) it's gonna be lots of fun! :) i'll be bringing my digital camera, to take lots of pictures, to share with everyone :) You all will be with us in spirit :) We're gonna take the nice scenic car ride route, to the pumpkin farm, and will get to see many beautiful nature sights, the autumn trees, and all of the many other sights along the way :)
We're gonna buy some nice pumpkins, for our annual pumpkin carving day, next weekend :) We love to carve pumpkins, the sunday before halloween, and we roast pumpkin seeds :) it's gonna be such a fun, and exciting weekend, and stretch to the halloween holiday :) i look forward to sharing our weekend adventures, and pictures with everyone, in my journals :) i'll be thinking of you all often, this upcoming weekend :) There's many more amazing times, and wonderful festivities, to look forward too, the rest of the halloween season :) Tonight, i'm going to call our dear friend Holly :) We love to talk, and are going to watch the spooky cool classic movie, "Christine" :) we've been having so much fun, with our halloween season movie/tv show nights :) Tomorrow's a brand new episode of ghost adventures on the travel channel :)my family and i want to take this time, to thank you all so very much, for all that you do for us :) You all are wonderfully nice, and sweet :) We deeply appreciate everything, with all of the love of our hearts :) BIG GROUP HALLOWEEN TIME HUG! :) Life is so very wonderful :) Each day, is a very special gift, and treasure :) We hope everyone enjoys a beautiful weekend :)

Happy baking friday smiles! :) greetings, from our kitchen to yours! :) Taylynn, Mikey, and i got our picture taken today, in the kitchen! :) We love baking friday, and are so excited, to have an awesome season, of halloween baking friday fun! :) 

We melted the chocolate chips, in a nice bowl in the microwave :) stirring the melted chocolate chips, we then added in some nice candy corn, and sprinkles :) We put the candy corn brittle/bark, into a nice casserole dish that i greased with butter :) this is the 1st time we've made, both candy corn brittle and popcorn balls :)


Preparing the Popcorn Balls, and the Candy Corn Brittle! :) we used some nice popping corn, to make the popcorn, we popped the popcorn, in a bag in the microwave :) i saved some extra popcorn, for everyone to have for snack :)

Melting the Marshmallow in the cooking pot :) We added in about a half stick of butter, with the marshmallows, and also some nice yellow and red food coloring, to make the marshmallow turn pumpkin orange :)

We stirred the popcorn into the marshmallow, and then stirred in some candy corn, and mellowcreme pumpkins :) After stirring, we scooped the popcorn/candy into the nicely greased with butter, muffin pans :)

Halloween Town, day 17 :) It's halloween treats day,  in halloween town, as it's a cool fun baking friday! :) at the haunted movie theatre today, it's "SCREAM 4" movie day, featuring the spooky cool movie :) halloween goodies, and drinks, and lots of halloween cheer! :) Pumpkin weekend, in a halloween town! :) celebrating 31 BOO-eautiful days of halloween! :)
