a baking friday, with family moments, stories, and memories <3
Hi angel friends :) the cookie monsters will be reuniting again soon :) my family, Holly, and i hope everyone is doing well, healthy, and enjoying a nice friday :) You all are always in our thoughts, often each day :) Thank you angel friends, for being here for us all, with all of your comforting, and uplifting love, care, support, and prayers <3 it means the world to us, and is very comforting and uplifting knowing you're here for us :) We feel your hearts hugging our hearts :) we've been taking some good reflective moments, sharing stories, memories of my brother Charlie, as we cope, and grieve his passing. We're keeping surrounded by lots of love, care, and support :) it's been very sad, and very hard. it helps to write, and sharing. my mom and i were talking this morning. She and my dad, along with Jenn and Mike spent time at Charlie's house yesterday and today, doing some cleaning, and packing/organizing some items, personal belongings. my mom got Charlie's high school ring, and 2 wonderful necklaces, featuring an Eagle, and crescent Moon. Charlie loved his necklaces, and my mom is finding much comfort in having these personal belongings, and feeling close with Charlie and his spirit <3 We have reserved a plot, at maplewood down the road from us. we're still in planning stages of the memorial, and funeral. We're going to Jenn's and family's on September 10th (Charlie's birthday), Jenn and Mike, family, invited us to come over on that day, to have some BBQ foods.
we're all taking good care, and looking out for eachother, as we all cope from each day to day. Holly, and i, and my niece Taylynn have been under the weather, battling this cold/flu. Holly and i have been up more today, we had some toasted cinnamon raisin bagels, and grapes, plus drinking plenty of water, orange juice, and ginger ale :) Taylynn is resting up too. We're hoping to have our full health back very soon. our energy is up more today, it's a good sign of some healing :) our throats are sore, with a cough, we've got lots of cough drops, cough syrup, and herbal teas/soups. we decided it be best today, to have a very light baking friday day, i put some cinnamon rolls in the oven to bake :) We hope to be back to 100%, and having a full baking friday adventure next week :)
With it being baking friday, and sharing stories, and memories of my brother Charlie, i would like to take this time, to write, and share about his baking days, cooking days, and grilling times :) over the past years, Charlie has been sharing some nice baking moments with us :) he enjoys baking, cooking, and grilling over the years, especially during fall season, we loved to bake some apple pies, and pumpkin pies :) he always got into the fall season spirit :) he would bake the goodies, and send pictures to us, along with uploading the pictures on his facebook page :) Charlie was a great griller too. he use too grill often, during spring, and summer, and even during winter :) i remember back in 2006, we had a nor'easter winterstorm here, and i remember once the winds had eased, Charlie fired up the BBQ Grill in our backyard, somehow he got it going, and grilled burgers that day :) we always proudly talked about it, when remembering that memory :)
back when Charlie lived in Colchester, Charlie's and family's home was the place we went too, always for the holiday's, and birthday's :) during the spring, and summer time, Charlie was the grill master on the grill, he would have the grill growing, and would show us all, his garden, he grew lots of bell peppers, tomatoes, and more :) i remember the garden being big, and the backyard was great. i remember in high school, us going out there for BBQ cookouts, and birthday's, it was always such a nice day to share in, and those memories we have of those times will forever live on in our hearts, with loving remembrances of my brother Charlie :) i'm finding comfort in these sharings, of stories and memories :) when Holly and i were hanging out with Charlie on August 20th, in our front yard, he was telling us about his garden, and how he was growing eggplant for the first time, and wanted to make some baked eggplant parmesan for us. maybe sometime next year, in the summer, we could bake some, as a special tribute to Charlie, during one of our chillin n grillin themed baking friday adventures during the summer :)
We've been spending lots of time together, from day to day, at times, talking with my mom and dad, texting with family/friends, emails, phone calls, and quality time here on DS, it's all very comforting, and uplifting <3 Holly and i are finding it quite difficult and emotional right now ,to watch any of our normal shows (like the paranormal shows), Charlie was very much into those shows, and would take pictures, from time he went to visit Norwich State down the road, and he watched ghost hunters, ghost adventures, and would write us about watching the shows. with all that's been going on, it's very emotional feeling right now, thinking of those shows, Holly and i are deciding to take some time away from watching those shows, and watching other shows, or movies. tonight, we're going to watch in honor of Charlie, and his love for nascar, we're going to watch "Talledega Nights", comedy nascar movie, and tomorrow will most likely take the day to be home, continuing to rest, and taking good care, as we overcome this cold/flu. Thank you again, our dear angel friends, for being here for us, for your comforting love, care, prayers, and support, from all of us here, from our hearts to yours :) We love you :) my mom, Holly, and our family says hi :) sending our heart-felt love, appreciation, and our most warmest caring friendship hugs, wishing everyone a peaceful evening, and night :)
We want Charlie's baking pictures to lead off, today's baking friday journal pictures <3
Charlie loved to bake, cook, and grill :) he was definitely a grill master on the grill, and also loved seasonal (fall) baking, very much :) we have some pictures here to share, of some baked goodies that Charlie shared with us in recent years :) he was very proud, baking an apple pie, and pumpkin pie :) he loved being into the spirit of one his favorite times of the year, fall season :)

Cinnamon rolls baked today :)

We were very blessed, so many times over the years, in our lives, to be able to spend time with my brother Charlie :) he was a great big brother, and loved family time :) there were many moments, and special occasions over the years, where all 5 of us siblings were together, for a picture opportunity, whether it was in the 1980's, when we were all young, to the current times in recent years including a picture with our angel friend Jeremy :) We'll forever treasure, these heart-felt family moments of being together <3 Charlie, Bobby, Lisa, Chris, and Jenn :)
i was about 4 in this picture, with all my siblings :)

at Jenn's wedding in 2018 :)

Thank you angel friends, for your heart-felt comments, and for viewing our memories with Charlie <3
