baking friday! :) Calling all cookie monsters! :) hehe! :)cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's baking friday!!! :) Oh my! :) a super fun, and spirit soaring super sweet, Summer time themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen!!! :) This was so much fun! :) after a very wild stormy day until mid-day, we saw the return of some awesome sunshine this afternoon! :) baking up some awesome goodies, and enjoying the spirited cheer of the summer season! :) come on over, for some baking friday goodies! :)

We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition :) today, Hunter, Holly, and i baked some Cheese pizza's, and Onion pretzels :) it was lots of fun! :) We're so thankful, and very happy we could bake goodies today, as we had a very stormy day earlier with the tropical storm that impacted our area and state, but thankfully our power remained on, and we were able to have a classic, fun baking friday adventure today :)

Baking up some awesome goodies, after some very stormy weather here in CT, and New England . Hi angel friends! :) my family, Holly, and i hope everyone is doing well, healthy, and enjoying a nice day :) we hope everyone is doing ok, and safe, from the tropical storm elsa. Thank you all so very much, our dear angel friends, for all of your warm well wishes, and prayers for us all to be safe :) We're with you all, and we hope and pray everyone is making it through the storm safely. Our thoughts, prayers, and hearts are with everyone :) We're doing ok, and riding out the storm here at home today, keeping safe indoors. tropical storm elsa impacted our area and state with heavy tropical rain downpours, some gusty winds at times. our power is thankfully on, and our trees are doing ok along with our plants. We've been keeping a close eye on the our yard, trees, plants, from window view. it began to get very stormy this morning, as tropical storm elsa began to move into our area. The rain was coming down very fast, and heavy this early morning as the day was blossoming. i did manage to shortly go outside before the winds were severe, to put goodies outside, for our nature friends, i got soaked by the rain, the air feels tropical. We've been keeping an eye on our home, and are doing ok :) We're gonna be tending our plants, and garden this weekend, and will have full updates on how our plants are doing. it's been a very stormy stretch of days, 3 evenings in a row, we had thunderstorms here, and today tropical storm else impacting our area. We're hanging in there, and keeping strong, and safe :) Thank you all for being here for us :) my niece Alyssa, Aj, and the kids left early to travel to New Hampshire, and have been keeping in contact with my mom. they had safe travels to their destination in New Hampshire :)

As the new day was blossoming this morning, with our power on, we began our day as normal as we could :) a very special baking friday tradition i love very much ,is wishing my family, Holly, and friends a happy baking friday, and i share with my family and Holly, your sweet happy baking friday wishes :) aww! :) Thank you angel friends, so very much! :) You all are very nice, and sweet :) we love this very special weekly tradition, baking goodies :) it's one of our favorite joys, and is our favorite tradition :) i was up early this morning, blossoming into the new day :) i enjoyed some nice time here on DS, writing to friends, updating friends on the early morning as the tropical storm began to arrive here in our area. We did lots of preparations yesterday, including charging up our batteries, getting our lanterns, supplies set, just incase we experienced power outages. i planned to briefly go outside for a very short nature walk over to our bird sanctuary area in our backyard to put goodies outside for our nature friends, and then right back indoors. the winds weren't fierce, but the rain was really heavy. i went outside for about 90 seconds, to put goodies in our backyard for our nature friends, to help them have a source of food, before the weather got more severe. our nature friends always love their baking friday breakfast feasts :) Awww! :) Our plants have been doing so very well, and it's been a big growing week for our plants :) We'll be ready to go into gardening action this weekend, to tend our plants after this very stormy weather earlier today.

We enjoyed our breakfast, and having some hot tea, water, and iced coffee this morning :) We had our local news on, for the latest updates on tropical storm elsa. our phone alarms went off, alerting us,that they put a flood warning up, for our area here in CT, the Yantic River floods, when we recieve this much rain. around 7:30am, we saw on our news, the storm's eye and center was off the coast of CT, Long Island, with very heavy rain bands, and the winds were beginning to pick up a bit. our road had flowing water on the sides, that flow toward the gutters. in recent days, our city, and state did some street sweeping, to help clear the path for the rain/water to flow toward the drains on the roads. We've had some experiences over the years, with hurricanes, and tropical storms. i remember a bit of the hurricane gloria in 1985, and hurricane hugo in 1989, when i was a kid, plus hurricane bob in 1991. We've had tropical storms over the years too, including irene storm, sandy storm, that came up the coast. it's so very important to be prepared, for these storms, just incase. The tropical downpours were wild, it was like the sky was pouring buckets of water, it was raining so very hard. it got more gusty with the winds around mid-day, we have sunflowers leaning over in the garden, that will need to be uplifted, the sunflowers leaning though, is helping them not have to withstand much of the wind, and they will be ok :)

Even with the storm in our area, we've been keeping to our normal routines, as close as we can :) this morning, i began to gather our baking friday supplies, and decorations, and went out into our kitchen to begin setting up, and decorating our kitchen, for our super fun baking friday adventure :) it's good to keep to a balanced routine with the day, as it helps keep the day flowing :) Today i decorated with a cool decorative theme, with some of our new kitchen towels we have :) our kitchen looked great! :) as the morning went on, we continued to monitor closely from our windows, and doors, our backyard, trees, our plants, and our local news with the latest updates on the storm. We had a good lunch, and during the early afternoon, our power remained on, and was able to enjoy some more time here on DS, writing to friends :) by 2pm, the storm had eased here, the rain thankfully eased, it remained fairly gusty though.

Around 3pm, Jenn and the kids came over :) Alyssa and family had safe travels to New Hampshire today,they are there for the weekend :) We're so glad, and thankful they had safe travels, and that Jenn and the kids have safe travels and were able to come over for baking friday :) We love this special tradition, and look forward to our super fun adventures each week :) Alyssa, and family were with us in spirit today :) Lots of great summer time spirit, as we've been enjoying our summer time baking friday adventures :) Each week, we love to use our nice baking friday supplies we've recieved from family and friends over the years :) i wear my nice apron that Holly gave me, and we use our oven mits, kitchen towels, and all of our supplies are a big part of our baking friday adventures each week :) Our kitchen was all set, and we were ready to bake some awesome goodies :) calling all cookie monsters! :) cookie monsters unite! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)

We began our super fun adventure! :) Today, Hunter helped Holly and i bake goodies :) We had a special surprise for Hunter :) We gave Hunter his cool T-Rex toy, and stickers, that our dear friends Brooke (CedarBrooke) and Henri sent Hunter :) awww! :) he was so happy and excited! : )he gave his T-Rex a name! :) he named it, "Rexy!" :) cool! :) i took a picture of Hunter holding the cool treasures :) Hunter says, "thanks Brooke and Henri!" :) aww! :) baking friday teamwork! :) we first began to prepare the pizza's :) We got some nice ready made thin pizza crusts :) Hunter helped spread the pizza sauce on the pizza crust, and then sprinked the mozzarella cheese onto the pizza :) today we made 2 of these nice cheese pizza's :) We love pizza, it's one of our favorite treats :) We were sharing lots of smiles :) my mom, Jenn, and Carter came out into the kitchen :) You all are always right there with us in spirit :)

We baked the cheese pizza's, they bake really quickly, as they are nice thin crusts :) The pizza's baked so nicely :) We prepared some nice pretzel dough earlier, so that the dough can rise :) pretzels are also one of our favorite goodies to bake :) Hunter, Holly, and i had fun preparing the pretzels, making the pretzels into cool shapes :) i had some water heating up on the stove, to boil the pretzels in for a minute :) i used butter to grease the baking pan, and used a metal spatula to put the pretzels onto the baking pan :) We melted some butter with more dried minced onion in the butter, and we drizzled the butter/onion onto the pretzels, and then put the pretzels into the oven to bake:)

We sliced the pizza's, and i took a picture of the pizza's, and we all the began to dig in :) The pizza came out great :) we did some cleaning up in the kitchen, and the pretzels finished baking :) i brought the pretzels out of the oven, they baked nicely :) i then put the pretzels onto a huge plater, and we all began to dig in :) The pretzels are awesome :) We also have some nice pizza leftover to enjoy for dinner this evening :) i love to dip my pretzels into ranch or honey mustard salad dressing :)

It was so much fun baking goodies today :) i thanked Hunter and Holly for helping bake :) WE have many more super fun baking friday adventures to look forward too as the summer season continues on :) as baking friday was going on today, the clouds cleared, and it began to get sunny :) a very special shoutout for family and friends :) Lots of great baking, and cooking this week :) We love hearing about the nice goodies, and foods you all bake, cook, and grill :) We're all with eachother in spirit, in our kitchens : )This is so much fun, and very special :) Cheese Pizza's, and Onion Pretzels, dedicated to our wonderful family, friends, and to the awesome spirit of summer time :) We love you all, so very very much! :) many great memories made, to always cherish and treasure :) baking friday! :) We love it!!! :) July 9th, 2021 :) Happy baking friday everyone! :)
