"Summer SMORES time in the kitchen!"- my little nieces Kayla and Taylynn said that today, during baking friday! :) baking friday! :) Calling all cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's baking friday! :) oh my! a super fun, and super sweet, CAMPFIRE themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen!!! :) we turned our kitchen into a kitchen forest! :) this was awesome summer time fun!!! :) come on over, for some smores, chocolate chip cookies, and homemade raspberry pie! :) we're having a summer party in the kitchen!!! :) This was one of the sweetest baking friday adventures we've ever had! :) Summer time, and lots of joyful moments of the season. :) We made 3 of our favorite treats today! :) This was so very special, using fresh picked raspberries from our gardens, to bake the pie. :) We're ready for a summer time feast, it's pure classic, and golden summer season. :) CHEERS!!! to family, friends, and to celebrating joyful times of the season. :) my dad just said, "i want a slice of raspberry pie!" :) awww! :)
We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone. :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today my little nieces Kayla, Taylynn, and i, had our annual campfire themed baking friday adventure. :) We used Kayla's smores maker, that looks like a campfire. :) We had our kitchen fully decorated with a nature forest theme. :) sharing smiles, and awesome times of this super fun adventure we look forward too each summer season. :) Kayla and Taylynn went back outside after our baking friday adventure, to enjoy a POOL PARTY!!! :) Awww! :) they've been swimming from time to time today, as it's a hot summer day, nearly 94 degrees here in our area, and it feels like 100 degrees! wow! the kids are enjoying the pool. :) We baked extra early today, as we love getting to bake earlier during the summer season. :) WOW! :) We got a kitchen full of yummy treats, including that delicious raspberry pie, fresh baked, from using raspberries from our garden. :) Wholesome nature, gardening, and spirited summer time. :)
my family and i hope everyone is enjoying a beautiful day, and we hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful 4th of July holiday. :) We want to take this time, to thank you all so very much for celebrating with us, and sharing with us, your 4th of July celebrations, and festivities. :) we've been enjoying hearing about your holidays, and sharing ours. :) we had lots of fun celebrating the holiday with you all. :) yesterday evening, i had a nice hotdog, macaroni salad, a nice peanut butter cookie, and an iced coffee, for 4th of July meal. :) it was sweet! :) i watched some of the 4th of July fireworks shows on tv last night, and i also saw some fireworks from my window! our next door neighbors were setting off fireworks in the street. : )They were having a good old time! :) the fireworks were sparklers kinds, and were lighthing up our street with that 4th of July excitement! :) We have so many sweet memories from the 4th of July, that we will always cherish and treasure. :) The summer season is continuing to shine, and we have so much more to look forward too. :)
Each summer, Kayla, Taylynn, and i love to turn our kitchen into a fun nature forest, with a campfire theme, to have our annual campfire baking friday adventure. :) it's one of our favorite adventures of the season, and year. :) Kayla has this really cool smores maker, that we love to use, to make smores. :) We love, cherish, and treasure all of the joyful times of the season, to celebrate with you all. :)There's lots of gret things going on, and all of the sweet memories, are warming our hearts. :) This morning, a sweet new summer day was rising and shining. :) i wished Kayla, Taylynn, and our family, a happy baking friday, and shared with them, your wonderful happy baking friday wishes. :) Thank you all so very much! :) You all are very nice, and sweet. :) we love baking fridays, and count down to our special adventures each week. :) We knew it was gonna be a hot summer day, as it was already up to about 80 degrees around 9am this morning. During the early morning, i got lots and lots of goodies for our nature animal friends, and ventured out into our yard, for my early morning nature walk. :) i put lots of goodies around our yard, and checked in on our plants. :) The plants are doing great, and are soaking up the sunshine today. :) i spotted lots of birds, and squirrels visiting our yard, and neighborhood this morning. :) they love their baking friday breakfast feast. :)
We have a very special shoutout, and thank you, for my dear, and lovely mom, and sister Lisa. :) they went to the grocery store and picked up baking friday supplies. :) it's very nice, and sweet of them. :) Thank you mom and Lisa, so very much! :) they help make baking friday possible each week. :) during the course of the past week, we've been picking some nice raspberries from our gardens. :) We have many raspberry pies, in our yard, and gardens, that flourish nicely each year, and produce lots of delicious raspberries. :) for the past few years, we've been baking a nice delicious buttery crust raspberry pie. :) it's one of our favorite treats. :) we feel very blessed, and thankful. :) we think of the raspberry bushes, and how they begin to sprout, grow, and blossom each year, and raspberries grow, and ripen. :) it's a very wholesome summer time joy, that makes us so happy, and delighted, to be able to enjoy. :) we have so many raspberries growing, that we get to bake a pie, and also have extra raspberries to enjoy eating. :) sometimes while i'm walking around our yard, and gardens, i love to pick a fresh ripe raspberry to enjoy whole checking in on the plants. :) a special thank you, to nature, and our raspberry bushes, for providing us with a wonderful summer harvest. :)
Around mid-morning, i began to gather our baking friday supplies, decoratives, and ventured out into our kitchen, to begin setting up, and decorating our kitchen, for our super fun adventure. :) Kayla and Taylynn have drawn, and colored some wonderful pictures of trees, and nature animal friends over the years, and we also put our nature animal friends themed decoratives and treasures into our kitchen. :) We turned our kitchen into a nature forest! :) it looked awesome! :) We love decorating, it's a very special part of our baking friday traditions each week. :) i made a nice big fresh crisp salad for lunch, and had some tortilla chips with salsa too, and i also brewed some delicious cinnamon spiced iced coffee, and made a sweet rocking and rolling iced coffee! :) whoo! :) i love iced coffee, especially on a hot summer day. CHEERS! :) i watered our plants this morning too. :) around 12:30pm, Kayla, Taylynn, and i began to gather in the kitchen :) gearing up, for our super fun adventure! :)
i wore my apron that our dear and lovely friend Cj's (ddeadred) lovley mom sewn for me, plus we use our nice oven mits, kitchen towels, and pot holders that we have recieved from friends, all around the world. :) each one, is very special, and unique. :) i sent texts to friends today to wish them a happy baking friday. :) Thank you everyone, for the wonderful texts! :) You all are always with us in spirit in the kitchen during our adventures, and we're with you all in spirit too. :) our kitchen was all set, and ready, and we were ready to bake! :) Calling all cookie monsters! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)
We began our super fun adventure! :) We got the smores maker going. :) the smores maker is really neat. :) it's shaped like a campfire, and has a light bulb inside, that lights up, and there's 2 sticks to put marshmallows on, and to put the sticks through the sides of the smores maker, and the light heats up the marshmallows. :) We were talking about summer time, and all of the celebrations. :) We got some baking pans, and i used butter to grease the baking pan. :) This week, we bought some nice chocolate chip cookie dough, at shoprite grocery store. :) the cookies are already made it. :) they have 24 cookies, for $2.99. :) We decided to buy the cookie dough this week. :) Kayla, Taylynn, and i put the cookies into the baking pans, and i put the cookies into the oven to bake! bake! bake! :) oh my! :) cookie monsters! :) We baking chocolate chip cookies! :) as the cookies were baking, we began to make some more smores. :) We use the smores maker, and also the microwave, to make the smores. :) We opened up the chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers. :)
Kayla, Taylynn, and i then put graham crackers, with some chocolate, a marshmallow on top, and put the plate into the microwave for about 15 seconds, the marshmallow ballooned up! :) hehe !:)it was cool to see the marshmallow getting big. :) We then put a graham cracker on top of the marshmallow and chocolate, to make a yummy smores sandwich. :) mmm mmm! :) We love smores! :) we were enjoying making lots and lots of smores. :) smores are a great treat, especially during summer time :) we made a huge plateful of smores. :) i brought the chocolate chip cookies out of the oven :) they baked nicely :) we then began to prepare the raspberry pie. :)
For the raspberry pie, we made homemade buttery crusts. :) We used a really simple recipe. :) We added 2 cups of flour into the bowl. :) We clapped some flour into the air! :) whooo! :) we love getting the flour flying in the air in the kitchen. :) We then added, 1 stick of sliced butter, and a 1/4th cup of water into the bowl, and began to super stir! :) we had a nice pie baking dish, i used butter to grease the baking dish. :) we used the pizza dough roller to roll the dough, we made the pie crust recipe again, so we had 2 pie crusts. :) we washed the raspberries again in nice cold water, and then put some sugar, and butter in the bottom of the pie crust, and then put the raspberries in, and about a half cup of sugar on top of the raspberries, to give them a nice sweetness. :) We then put the top crust on top of the raspberries, and used a knife to make holes in the pie, to give the pie some nice baking room, and i then put the raspberry pie into the oven to bake! :) as the pie was baking, we could begin to smell the fresh yummy scent of raspberries. :) we did some cleaning up in the kitchen, Kayla and Taylynn went swimming again. :) we let the pie bake for a good hour in the oven. :) the pie baked so nicely. :) my mom and dad have had a big day with going out, but when they came home, they had a chocolate chip cookie. :) We were showing everyone the treats. :) i thanked Kayla and Taylynn for helping bake goodies, and i thanked my mom and sister Lisa again picking up baking friday supplies at the store. :) We had so much fun baking goodies today. :) We love baking friday. :) next friday, we're having a special happy birthday themed baking friday adventure, for Kayla and Lisa. :) Their birthday's are coming up soon. :) There's many more super fun adventures to look forward too :)
a very special shoutout to family and friends, baking and cooking goodies and foods this week. :) lots of BBQ foods, for the 4th of July. :) my mom made macaroni salad, and cooked hotdogs! our friend Deb (Stardust) went camping with her family, and texted me and mentioned they are cooking some nice foods while camping! our friend Shirley (Squarely) cooked BBQ ribs, and baked brownies! our friend Sylvia (1tater) baked poblano peppers with shrimp, queso fresco and arborio rice, and grilled plums, and made a nice balsamic glaze! :) it's so much fun, cooking, and baking. :) this is awesome! :) we love hearing about your cooking, and baking adventures. :) Campfire themed baking friday adventure, Smores, Chocolate Chip cookies, and Raspberry Pie, dedicated to our wonderful family, and wonderful friends, and to the wonderful spirit of the season. :) We love you all so very very much! :) many great memories made, to always cherish and treasure. :) baking friday! :) we love it!!! :) July 5th, 2013 :) Happy baking friday, and happy summer time everyone! :)

SMORES MAKER! :) Kayla has this super cool smores maker. :) it's so neat, and awesome to see! :) The smores maker has a lightbulb inside, that plays the part of the campfire, and when you put a marshmallow on the stick, and put the marshmallow above the lightbulb, the marshmallow begins to melt, and you can make a smores. :) it's really neat, how this cool smores maker helps us make smores. :) it's one of our favorite traditions each summer, to bring out the smores maker, and to make some yummy delicious smores. :) come on over, for a campfire themed baking friday! :) SMORES! :)
