"we got our marshmallows! it's Smores Campfire Time!"- my little nieces Kayla, Taylynn, and little nephew Mikey said that today, during baking friday! :)
baking friday! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's baking friday! :) oh my! :) A super fun, and super sweet, CAMPFIRE themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen!!! :) Welcome to the Nature Forest Kitchen, with the moon rise, and the campfire lit bright! :) it's time to gather, and share some stories, and bake up some yummy sweet delights! :) it's our annual campfire themed baking friday adventure!!! :) we packed up our kitchen backpacks today, and we went hiking into the kitchen forest, and made 2 of our favorite treats, including SMORES! :) it's campfire party, sharing lots of smiles, baking friday stories, and memories, and sharing in, a wholesome joyful time, as we continue to countdown to the summer season! :) This is so much fun!!! :) Come on over, for some yummy treats! :) awww! :)
We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today Kayla, Taylynn, Mikey, and i baked chocolate chip cookies, and made Smores :) it's one of our favorite themed baking friday adventures of the year :) Summer season is coming, and we got the Smores maker out today, and we were ready to hike into the nature kitchen forest, for some awesome baking friday fun! : )We are so happy and excited! :) Summer is coming, and it's that time of the year, outdoor festivities, and traditions :) from traveling down by the water, to gardening adventures, BBQ cookouts, hiking, camping, and lots more! :) it's always so much fun, to dwelve into a new seaason :) Summer is definitely on it's way, and we wanted to continue our countdown to summer, themed baking friday adventures, by having our annual campfire theme today :) There's lots of great excitement, and spirit in the air :) You can feel the energy, as that sun is rising and shining early, and the air is getting warmer and warmer, and soon, the summer season will be here! :) it's light outside well into the evenings now, and one of our favorite treats, for as long as i can remember, is those times when we fire up the BBQ Grill during the evenings, and we just happen to have a bag of marshmallows too! : )Roasting and Toasting those sweet marshmallow treats! :)
It's such a beautiful time of the year, with lots of great things going on, and many special memories being made :) my family and i love celebrating the seasons with everyone :) There's so much to enjoy, so much to dwelve into :) You can tell that summer is coming, with the glow of the nature, as the sun has returned to shine on this sweet classic, and golden June day! :) This morning, we had a beautiful sunrise, and that sky being painted a beautiful shade of blue :) The birds were up early singing, as we had lots of rain yesterday, and today, it was a day for the plants, flower bushes, and fruit trees to soak up the sun :) it was a great morning, i wished Kayla, Taylynn, and our family a happy baking friday, and shared with them, your wonderful happy baking friday wishes :) You all are so nice, and sweet :) We've been having an awesome stretch of summer countdown themed baking friday's, with our BBQ theme, then our ice cream theme, and today, it was time for campfire theme :)
This morning, i began my day with a nice sunrise nature walk, to feed our nature animal friends, and checking in on the plants :) i always love to check in on them, especially after a nice raining :) i was so excited, as i walked around our yard, seeing the sunny glow of nature all around ,so refreshing, after a good raining :) i was putting the goodies around our yard, for the birds, and squirrels :) they love their baking friday breakfast feasts :) i checked in on our plants, they continue to super grow, as the season flourishes :) i opened up the greenhouse, our corn plant sprouts are growing more :)Soon we'll be transplanting the plants into our gardens :) it's a very exciting time of the season, with the amazing nature blossoming all around :)
We have a very special shoutout, and thank you, for my dear, and lovely mom ,and sister Lisa :) they went to the store yesterday evening, and picked up baking friday supplies :) it's so nice, and sweet of them :) Thank you mom and Lisa, so very much! :) We get so excited, when we get the baking friday supplies, and thinking about all of the fun we have, baking up lots of yummy treats, and including today, making smores :) yum! :)i created another cool baking friday themed picture, for our adventure :) the picture features a campfire/nature theme, with Kayla, Taylynn, Mikey, and i :) i love to make those pictures, when we have themes :) i love to print out copies to give to Kayla, Taylynn ,and Mikey :) they get so excited, when they see them :) around mid-morning, i gathered baking friday supplies, and decorations, and ventured out into our kitchen, to begin setting up, and decorating our kitchen, for our super fun adventure :)
It's part of the great baking friday fun each week :) i turned our kitchen into a nature forest setting, with the pictures :) i also got out, our cool smores maker, that Kayla has had for many years :) it's really neat, it has a light inside, where you can put marshmallows on the sticks, and let the marshmallows twirl above the light, it helps the marshmallow melt :) Very cool! :) i cooked a nice healthy lunch, and brewed a caramel iced coffee :) CHEERS!!! to family, friends, and to sweet joyful times :) i texted friends throughout the day, to wish them a happy baking friday :) i went back outside after lunch, for a nature walk, i saw lots of bumble bees near our pink flower bush :) i was checking in on the plants :) Early afternoon, i enjoyed some nice time here on ds, writing to friends :) around 3pm, i gathered some more of our baking friday supplies, and went back out into our kitchen, to put the finishing touches on our kitchen preparations, for our super fun adventure :)
i washed the cookie baking pans :) Kayla and Taylynn arrived home from school, shortly after 3pm :) Jenn and Mikey came over too :) Mikey had his apron, and also brought a bag of mini marshmallows! :) he was all set, and ready for some baking friday fun, making smores! :) this is a very exciting time, as we're all gathering around ,gearing up for our super fun adventure :) Kayla was so excited, as she loves those chocolate chip cookies, and Taylynn was very excited too, she loves smores! :) Each week, we get lots of wonderful use, from our nice baking friday supplies we've recieved over the years :) our aprons, oven mits, hot mats, kitchen towels, and other supplies :) They're always a very special part of our baking friday adventures :) i said to the kids, "are you ready for some fun!" :) They said. "YEAH!!!" :) awww! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) cookie monsters unite! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)
We began our super fun adventure! :) we first began, by preparing the chocolate chip cookies :) i said to Kayla, "pick out the best egg ever!" :) awww! :) She loves picking out the egg :) Kayla got the egg in the fridge, and Taylynn and Mikey were beginning to add in the flour :) we love to get the flour flying! :) We added in some nice sugar, brown sugar, and also a little bit of cinnamon to the recipe too :) We love cinnamon :) we were enjoying an awesome time :) We love the many nice steps, of preparing the goodies :) We were sharing smiles, i mention to my family, about the nice goodies, and foods you all cook, and bake during the course of the week :) We're with eachother in spirit, in our kitchens :)
We super stirred the chocolate chip cookie dough, we love to make the dough a little extra buttery, by putting a half stick of melted butter in the dough, it makes buttery good! :) Taylynn and i used butter to grease the baking pan :) Taylynn was so proud to help :) We began to make the cookie dough ,into cookie balls :) We put the cookies onto the 2 baking pans, and i put the cookies into the oven to bake! bake! bake! :) oh my! :) sweet chocolately goodness! :) We love to smell the cookies baking! :) our kitchen smelled great! :) as the cookies were baking ,it was then time for the SMORES! :)
SMORES TIME!!! :) we love to make smores! :) Smores is a fun recipe, and very easy recipe too :) Kayla, and i were sorting out the graham crackers, the hershey's chocolate bars, and the marshmallows :) we used a few plates, to sort the ingredients :) Kayla did the honor of putting on the Smores maker! :) very cool! :) Taylynn and Mikey put a marshmallow on the end of the sticks, that came with the smores maker, and they were putting the marshmallows in the area above the light :) They were so excited! :) it was a campfire theme in the kitchen :) we also used the microwave, to make smores too :) We were so very into this! :) we were putting lots of graham crackers, on the plate, with 1 chocolate, then 2, then 3 TRIPLE CHOCOLATE SMORES! :) Taylynn said, "i'm making one for my friend!" :) hehe! :) so cute! : )She was smiling and smiling :)
Kayla and i put the plate with the graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows, in the microwave, for about 12 to 15 seconds, the marshmallows ballooned up, got really big, we then put graham crackers on top of the chocolate and marshmallow, to make it a nice smores sandwich :) yum! :) we were having so much fun! :) Mikey was eating some chocolate, he was building a huge double smore! :) very cool! :) as we made lots and lots of smores, i also brought the chocolate chip cookies out of the oven :) they baked nice, and could tell they were buttery cookies too :) sweet!!! :)
We made a huge plate full of smores :) we all had a smore, delicious! :)my mom and Jenn were coming out into the kitchen, and my dad too! :) my dad said, "those smores look real good!" :) he had one too! :) this was awesome! : )the smores are very delicious! :) we had so much fun today, making smores, and baking chocolate chip cookies :) i thanked Kayla, Taylynn, and Mikey for helping :) they each got a copy of the cool baking friday campfire themed picture i made :) awww! :) we love baking friday, and have many more super fun adventures planned :) Kayla wants us to make the cream cheese wontons again soon :) awesome! :) we did some cleaning in the kitchen :) it was such a fun adventure today, and we have many more adventures coming up to look forward too, as we count down to summer season :) We have a very special shoutout, for family and friends :) lots of baking ,and cooking this week :) We love hearing about your cooking, and baking adventures :) This is so much fun, and very special :) Smores, and Chocolate Chip cookies, dedicated to our wonderful family, wonderful friends, and to the wonderful spirit of the seaosn : )We love you all so very very much! :) many great memories made, to always cherish, and treasure :) baking friday! :) We love it!!! :) June 6th, 2014 :) Happy baking friday everyone! :)
We're enjoying a wonderful day! :) baking friday! :) we love it!!! :) my family and i are doing well, and are in great spirits! :) it's been an awesome week, with lots of great things going on, and many special memories being made :) We've began the countdown to summer season! :) we love the weekends, especially during this time of the year :) my family and i are very excited, about the weekend :) We're gonna be going to the dollar store, shopping for some nice gifts, goodies, and treasures :) Also this weekend, my mom, dad, and i want to go for a nice peaceful car ride :) maybe to the Niantic, CT, or the Westerly, Rhode Island, Bess Eaton donuts shop :) it would be so nice, getting to go for a nice peaceful car ride, and i could take lots of pictures of our adventure, and all of the sights we see :) the weather is expected to be beautiful this weekend, in the 80's, with lots of sunshine :) i'm gonna do some gardening this weekend too, and taking pictures of our plants, and gardens :)
Tomorrow evening is the Belmont Stakes horse race :) my mom, dad, and i will be cheering for California Chrome horse to win the triple crown :) it's gonna be an amazing race :) we look forward to cheering for Chrome, it could be history in the making :) it's gonna be a great weekend :) i look forward to sharing our weekend adventures with everyone :) i'll be thinking of you all often, this upcoming weekend :) There's many more great things to look forward too :) tonight, i'm going to call our dear friend Holly :) We love to talk, and watching Most Haunted, and an episode of ghost adventures :) Holly sent me a treasures package, and we sent her a treasures package :) We're gonna open our treasures packages while talking on the phone tonight :) my family and i want to take this time, to thank you all so very much, for all that you do for us :) You all are wonderfully nice, and sweet :) We deeply appreciate your kindness, and generousity, with all of the love of our hearts :) BIG GROUP SUNNY SUNSHINE HUG :) We hope everyone enjoys a beautiful weekend :)
