On September 21st, 2007, it was a friday and i remember it like it was yesterday :) We had a big growing season that year, for winesap apples :) We had picked a whole basket full of apples, from the tree :) it was so much fun :) i remember us all planning to bake an apple pie for the first time, using apples from our tree :) it was September 21st, 2007 and we baked a nice apple pie :) we were all very proud, and i remember us putting the apple pie into our microwave, and just before i closed the microwave, i thought about how it would be cool, to take a picture of the apple pie, to share with everyone here on DS :) i took a picture of the pie, and uploaded the picture into my journal that friday afternoon :) i remember saying. "we baked an apple pie today" and i remember friends commenting, and asked, what are we going to bake next friday :) The baking friday tradition was born :) Each friday since, we've baked goodies :) From birthday's, to holiday's, seasons, and all of the adventures :) Lots of recipes, and all of the goodies we've baked :)
We cherish and treasure all of our wonderfully special memories from baking friday over the years :) Kayla was smaller than the counter, when we first began to bake, and i remember holding the bowl for her while she stirred the goodies we were baking :) We're so happy, and thrilled that friends join in on the baking friday adventures :) our baking friday crew has grown over the years :) We get so excited, to bake goodies, and we are so happy, the kids are loving the experiences of learning to bake, cook, and of course, enjoying the goodies we all bake :) Today, to celebrate baking friday, we're baking an apple pie, and pumpkin spiced cookies, just like we did, for the first 2 baking friday adventures :) We are using an apple from our apple tree, to include in the apple pie we're baking :)

Baking friday is very special to us :) i have a fun story to share, about the birth of the cookie monsters! :) each week, i say, "Calling all cookie monsters" :) i wanted to share how i came to begin saying that :) on September 22nd, 2007 the day after our 1st baking friday adventure, i woke up and signed onto DS :) our dear friend, my ds mum (Bloss), overnight, had saved the picture of the apple pie we baked, and she used a picture feature on her computer, to make it look like the pie was sliced into portions, and wrote our names on it, and one of the names she wrote, was "Cookie Monsters" :) each week since, i've included that special phrase, "Calling all cookie monsters" :) You all, are a very special part of baking friday :) Today is baking friday #624 :) we love looking forward to our adventures :) it's such a fun, and awesome time, and we're so proud to welcome little Brodie, and little Carter into the baking friday fun soon :) Traditions are a wonderful part of life, and we're so happy, and excited for this very special day, and tradition we treasure, and we look forward to many more years, and fun times baking :)

This morning, we had a sweet new day, rising and shining :) Baking friday! :) a special friday tradition i look forward too each week, is wishing my family, Holly, and friends a happy baking friday, and i shared with them, your sweet happy baking friday wishes:) awww! :) You all are so nice, and sweet :) Thank you everyone, so very much! :) We've been looking forward to baking goodies :) fall season coming, and beginning to bake some of our favorite, fall season treats :) we love getting the kitchen cozy warm, and filled with the scents of apple, cinnamon, and pumpkin :) there' so many nice recipes, and lots of fun baking to enjoy :)

As the new day was blossoming, i gathered a big bowl of goodies, and went outside for my early morning nature walk :) the air's been so nice, fresh, and crisp, and feels like the fall season is arriving :) i saw the moon still visible in the sky this morning, as the sun was rising up more :) i put lots of goodies in our backyard, for our nature friends :) they love their baking friday breakfast feasts :) awww! :) i've been seeing happy birds, and squirrels visiting :) i was walking aroind our yard, checking our plants :) They're doing well :) We're gonna harvest more string beans, and tomatoes soon, and we also have lots of gourds pumpkins we'll be picking :) We picked an apple from our granny smith apple tree yesterday, that we'll be using today, for our apple pie :) we love the nature this time of the year, fall season is our favorite :) it's wonderful to see the early signs of fall season nature :) the spirit of the season is beginning to arrive :)

It was a nice sweet spirited morning :) Talking about baking friday, enjoying some blueberry iced coffee :) Cheers! :) Holly and i made a #1 and #2 for our kitchen decorations :) i began to gather our baking friday supplies, and decorations, and went out into our kitchen to begin setting up, and decorating our kitchen, for our super fun adventure :) Today, i decorated with a special, happy 12th birthday baking friday theme :) our kitchen looked awesome! :) it's so nice, a beautiful sunny day :) We enjoyed a nice lunch, and during the early afternoon,i enjoyed some nice time here on DS, writing to friends :) Lots of great spirit, and excitement in the air, sharing in the joys of this awesome spirited day :) during the mid-afternoon, i prepared the apples for our apple pie, and sprinkled sugar, and cinnamon on the apple slices :)

Around 3pm, Alyssa and the kids, and Jenn and the kids came over, and Kayla and Taylynn arrived home from school :) we were all gathering around, lots of awesome spirit, and excitement in the air :) i was showing everyone the awesome baking friday memories shirt, that our dear friend Deb (Stardust) made for us years ago :) it has some of the very first baking friday adventure pictures featured on the shirt:) it's so nice, and a special treasure :) the kids were all selecting their spot at the counter, my mom, Jenn, Alyssa were in the kitchen with us, and i was telling the kids about how Kayla was 6 years old, when baking friday began, and she was shorter than the counter top, and how we all made an apple pie on that September 21st, 2007 day :) the kids were so excited, listening in, and they're so proud to be a part of baking friday :) this is such a wonderfully special tradition :) we all got our picture taken in the kitchen :) we were all together, smiling, and ready for this super fun adventure :) our 624th baking friday adventure today :) Each week, we love to use our special baking friday supplies, that family and friends have sent us over the years :) i wear my nice apron, and we use our oven mits, kitchen towels, and all of our baking friday supplies :) these awesome supplies are a big part of our baking friday, and all of our baking, and cooking each week :) our kitchen was all set, and ready, and we were ready to bake some awesome treats :) calling all cookie monsters! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)

We began our super fun adventure! :) little Carter added the 1st apple piece to the apple pie :) Jenn and i were taking pictures, we were so into these special moments :) awww! :) Jenn was so proud, her son Carter adding the 1st apple piece to the pie :) Carter was looking around, and smiling :) The kids had a few pieces of apples, and we all then added pieces of apple into the pie dish :) earlier, i had washed, sliced, and boiled the apple slices for a few minutes and put some cinnamon and sugar on the apple slices :) We were sharing lots of smiles, and awesome baking friday celebration cheer! :) You all are always right there with us in spirit in our kitchen :) This is so much fun, and such a very special joy :) We put the pie crust on top of the apples after adding more cinnamon, and sugar :) The kids were so proud! :) baking friday teamwork!!! :) They love to help :) they're great helpers, and learn so much about baking, and cooking :) We're so happy and thankful for these awesome times :) Mikey was in the kitchen with us too, and we were all hanging out :) lots of great excitement :) we added some baking holes to the top of the pie crust, and then put the apple pie into the oven, to bake! :)

The sweet scent of apples, and cinnamon filled our kitfchen :) As the apple pie was baking, we got ready to prepare the pumpkin spiced cookies :) little Brodie added in the pumpkin spice :) awww! :) Alyssa is so proud of her son Brodie, helping with baking friday :) We were all gathering around, taking in the moments :) a baking friday birthday party!!! :) we love it!!!! :) i said to Kayla, "pick out the best egg ever" :) she loves to select the eggs over the years :) We were adding in the ingredients, we made a sugar cookie recipe, and with the pumpkin spice, makes the cookies pumpkin spice flavored :) We were SUPER STIRRING!!! the cookie dough, and getting flour flying in the air in the kitchen!!! :) This is a very special baking friday tradition, getting the flour flying! :) woot! :) i used butter to grease the baking pan, and we put the cookie dough onto the pan, and i put the cookies into the oven, to bake! :)

We were all hanging out, the kids were so excited, running around, and playing :) i did some cleaning in the kitchen :) the apple pie baked so nicely, we had it covered with an aluminum foil at times, and it baked awesome! :) The pumpkin spice cookie bars baked nicely too :) this was such an awesome fun time, and so very sweet spirited, celebrating baking friday's 12th birthday :) we had so much fun baking :) i thanked Kayla, Alyssa, and the kids for helping baking :) Cool Dudes! :) we love these very special times :) my mom and dad are feeling so proud too, of this very special tradition :) i cook a picture of the apple pie, in the microwave, just like 12 years ago :) A very special baking friday moment :) We have many more super fun baking friday adventures to look forward too :) fall season, and halloween season baking friday's :) A very special shoutout, for family and friends :) Lots of great baking, and cooking this week :) we love hearing about the nice goodies, and foods you all bake, and cook :) We're with eachother in spirit, in our kitchens :) This is so much fun, and very special :) i wish we all could have a big baking friday picnic :) Apple Pie, and Pumpkin Spiced Cookies, dedicated to our wonderful family, friends, to the awesome spirit of baking friday, and to wonderful traditions in life :) we love you all so very very much! :) many great memories made, to always cherish and treasure :) baking friday! :) we love it!!! :) September 20th, 2019 :) Happy 12th birthday baking friday, and happy baking friday everyone! :)
