calling all cookie monsters! :) cookie monsters! :) hehe! :)cookie monsters unite! :) it's baking friday!!! :) oh my! :) a super fun, super sweet, Happy 13th anniversary themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen!!! :) This was so much fun!!! :) We shared lots of smiles, and spirited cheer, as we celebrate our favorite tradition, baking friday! :) my mom, sister Jenn, and baker's in training, Brody and Carter joined in on the baking friday fun today, and you all were right there with us in spirit in the kitchen :) We're celebrating 13 years of baking friday :) Come on over, for some baking friday goodies, and a celebration! :)

We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a w onderfully wholesome tradition :) Today, Alyssa, Holly, the kids, and i baked an apple pie, and brownies :) it's amazing, how it's been 13 years, since the first baking friday adventure :) it all began ,with an apple puie on September 21st, 2007 and the tradition continues, of baking an apple pie on baking friday's anniversary :) We're very happy and excited for these sweet times, and the upcoming fall season coming :) it seems like yesterday, when we first began to bake, and all these years later, it's such a joy to see the kids learning about baking, us adults learning about baking too :) new recipes, and classic favorites :) it's a great joy, all of the special memories being made :) it feels like we're just getting started, and looking forward to many more super fun baking friday adventures :)

A baking friday story! :) in 2007, it was my first year here on DS, and i remember it like it was yesterday :) we had an amazing gardening season that year, from sunflowers, to fruits, vegetables :) it was the first season i got to share with everyone, our garden and all of the adventures :) we had a big growing season for apples that year :) i remember on September 21st, 2007, it was a friday :) We decided to bake our first apple pie, using apples from our winesap apple tree, that's right outside our kitchen window :) We baked such a nice apple pie that friday, and i remember us all being very proud of the apple pie :) i put the pie in our microwave, and decided to take a picture of the pie to share with everyone here on DS :)i think the journal was named, "We baked an apple pie today" :) i shared the picture with everyone, and everyone asked, what we were baking the following friday :) The baking friday tradition was born :) We baked pumpkin spiced cookies for baking friday's second adventure, then brownies, and each friday since, we've baked goodies :) nearly 676 baking friday's :) from birthday themes, to holiday themes, seasonal themes, and lots more :) it's always a super fun adventure in the kitchen :) i brought out our baking friday shirt that our dear friends Deb (Stardust) and her family made for us, it features pictures from the early days of baking friday, including a picture of the first apple pie we baked :) i took a picture of the shirt, and the apple pie to include in my journal today :)

Baking friday is very special to us :) our baking friday crew has grown over the years :) it began with Kayla and i baking ,she was only 6 years old, and wasn't as tall as the counter. i remember holding the bowl for her, so that she could reach to super stir, and her first time cracking open an egg, and eventually Taylynn joined in on the baking friday adventures, then Mikey, the triplets, Brayden, Jacob, Colby, then Hunter, and now with little Brody and Carter growing, they're baker's in training :) We love our adventures, it brings us such awesome fun, excitement, baking up lots of goodies, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) it's awesome, and spirited, and we'll forever be thankful, and appreciative for all of these awesome adventures we've had over the years, and so many more to look forward too :) it's so nice, Holly joining in, and also friends :) it's a great joy :)

our oven mits in our kitchen, displayed each week, are standing up, and waving to you all, our dear angel friends :) that's a special dedication to let you all know, you all are right there with us in spirit, and that we always can't wait to share our adventures with everyone in my friday evening journal :) We've had many super fun baking friday adventures, and are looking forward to many more, all throughout the seasons, and years :) when the cookie monsters gather and unite, it's time to bake! :) i have another cool story to share, about how the "calling all cookie monsters" began :) in 2007, our dear friend Bev, my ds mum (Bloss) :) She had saved the picture of the apple pie we baked, and she used an art program on her computer, to make the pie look like it had slices, and she wrote all of our names on the pie, and including a slice that said, "for the cookie monsters" :) that's how the cookie monsters began :) it's a great joy, and we love these very special times, traditions, and the spirited excitement of counting down to our super fun baking friday adventures each week :) We're so happy, excited, and thrilled, to celebrate baking friday's 13th anniversary/birthday today! :)

This morning, we had a wonderful new day, rising and shining :) baking friday! :) a very special friday tradition i love very much ,is wishing my family, Holly, and friends, a happy baking friday, and i share with my family and Holly, your sweet happy baking friday wishes :) awww! :) You all are so nice, and very sweet :) Thank you angel friends, so very much! :) as the new day was blossoming ,i was up early, enjoying some nice time here on DS, writing to friends, and getting ready for my early morning nature walk :) i gathered a big bowl of goodies, and went outside for my nature walk :) it was quiet outside this morning ,i saw some sparrows in the bird sanctuary area :) i put lots of goodies in our backyard, for our nature friends :) they love their baking friday breakfast feasts :) awww! :) it's a sweet time in the season, as we transition from summer to fall season :) our plants continue to do well, we look forward to picking our cool halloween pumpkin, gourds, and harvesting popcorn cobs during fall season :) We love fall, and the special joys of the season :) it's been getting chilly crisp outside, especially in the early mornings :) we've got lots of awesome plans, for seasonal baking, with all of our favorite fall season treats, trying new redcipes, and also halloween baking friday's coming up soon too :)

It was a sweet spirited morning :) we enjoyed a nice breakfast, and i made a pumpkin spiced iced coffee :)Cheers! to family, friends, to baking friday, and to the special joys of celebrating traditions :) i began to gather our baking friday supplies and decorations, and went out into our kitchen to begin setting up and decorating for our super fun adventure :) today, i decorated with a happy 13th anniversary/birthday baking friday :) our kitchen looked awesome! :) Holly helped me create a cool 1 and 3, for our baking friday celebrations theme for our kitchen ,and also displayed our nice baking friday shirt in our kitchen :) our kitchen looked awesome ,and all set and ready for our super fun adventure :) we picked some apples from our granny smith apple tree, to include in our apple pie today :) i boiled the sliced apples for bit, and added in sugar and cinnamon :) the apples were softer, and great for baking :) During the late morning, Holly and i enjoyed a nice lunch around mid-day :) during the early afternoon ,i enjoyed some nice time here on DS, writing to friends :)

Around 3pm, Alyssa, Jenn ,and the kids came over :) We were all gathering around, lots of great spirit and excitement in the air :) Holly and i were showing everyone the baking friday shirt :) it made me very proud, to share with family ,the picture of the first apple pie we baked, and lots of other goodies we baked, featured on the shirt :) We love these awesome moments :) We got our picture taken in our kitchen :) it's a cool baking friday tradition :) The kids were all excited, and love to select their spots at the kitchen counter :) they all got chairs, and we were getting set to bake goodies :) Each week ,we love to use our nice baking friday supplies we've recieved from family and friends over the years :) i wear my nice apron that Holly gave me, and we use our oven mits, kitchen towels, and all of the supplies that we've recieved over the years :) these special supplies, are a big part of our baking, and cooking each week :) our kitchen was all set, and we were ready to bake some awesome goodies :) calling all cookie monsters! :) cookie monsters unite! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)

We began our super fun adventure! :) baking friday teamwork! :) We first began by preparing the brownies :) We love fudge brownies :) We got some eggs, and began to add the ingredients into the bowl :) the kids love to help :) they're great helpers :) they get so proud, when they add the ingredients, and love to super stir :) my mom, Jenn, and little Carter and Brody joined us in the kitchen today too :) Kayla is visiting with her boyfriend Zach, and was with us in spirit in the kitchen :) We super stirred the brownies ,and were sharing lots of smiles :) We're so happy Holly joined in on the baking friday fun :) i used vegetable oil to grease the baking pan, and we poured the brownies mix into the pan, and i put the brownies into the oven to bake :) we love the scent of brownies baking :) Mikey was talking with us about baking friday, and sharing some memories of his early baking friday adventures, when he was about 2 years old, he began to help us bake :)

We began to get ready to prepare the apple pie :) We used butter to grease the pie baking dish, and then put the pie crust into the dish ,and added in the apples, cinnamon, and sugar :) my dad came out into the kitchen ,he loves apple pie and brownies, and is very happy we're baking the goodies :) We put the top portion pie crust on top of the apples ,cinnamon, and sugar, and i than used a small knife, to make the small holes in top of the crust, so that the pie could bake evenly :) i covered the pie with aluminum foil, and put the apple pie into the oven to bake :) the brownies and pie were baking nicely :) we did some cleaning up in the kitchen, and were hanging out :) The brownies finished baking ,and we let the pie bake for a good hour :) The brownies and apple pie baked nicely :) i took pictures of the goodies, and then sliced the brownies, and we then began to dig in, and looking forward to enjoying the apple pie :)

We had lots of fun baking today, and celebrating baking friday's 13th anniversary :) We love these special times :) i thanked Alyssa, Holly ,and the kids and everyone for helping bake, and celebrating with us :) Thank you angel friends for celebrating baking friday's 13th anniversary with us :) We have many more super fun baking friday adventures to look forward too :) a very special shouout for family and friends :) lots of great baking ,and cooking this week :) We love hearing about the nice goodies, foods, and treats you all bake and cook :) We're with eachother in spirit, in our kitchens :) this is awesome and spirited fun :) i wish we all could gather and have a big baking friday picnic :) Apple Pie, and Brownies, dedicated ot our wonderful family, friends, to baking friday, and to the awesome spirit of the season :) We love you all, so very very much! :) many great memories made, to always cherish and treasure :) baking friday! :) we love it!!! :) September 18th, 2020 : )Happy baking friday everyone , and happy 13th anniversary baking friday! :)
