We sure do love our baking friday adventure, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition, today Kayla, the kids, and i had a fun time, baking some nice apple turnover pastries, and apple crisp :) we had such a fun time, and love these awesome experiences of the fall season baking :) We've been blessed with an amazing apples harvest season :) our picnic table is full of apples! :) hehe! :) We've been picking apples, and my mom's been doing some baking, and cooking too, including making some nice apple sauce :) It's a sweet time of the year, with all of the joys of the season :) the fall season is continuing to bring that warmth to our hearts, with the seasonal traditions, and festivities, that are so nice :)
We had such a sweet time, seeing our apple trees flourish all season :) from the first signs of spring, with the trees blossoming, the bumble bees pollenating the blossoms, and seeing lots of new leaves, and apples beginning to grow, and grow :) we look forward to the harvest each year, and apples are always a very big part of our seasonal baking, for fall season each year :) from the 1st baking friday adventure we've ever had, to today, apples from our trees, always brings us such a special joy, of all of our baking friday adventures all throughout the years :) We've been picking lots of nice apples, from our trees, and keeping the apples on our picnic table outside :) it's so neat, to see all of the apples, and getting to take a picture of them all gathered on the table :)
It was an amazing growing season, and with all of the apples, we're so happy to bake some of our favorite goodies :) we hope everyone is enjoying a great day, and a wonderful start to the month of November :) This morning, we had a peaceful new day, rising and shining :) i love to wish my family and friends, a happy baking friday, and i love to share all of your lovely heart-felt happy baking friday wishes with them :) it's so nice, and sweet of you all, our dear angel friends :) It was a nice morning, as i put lots of goodies all around our yard, for the birds, and squirrels :) They love their baking friday breakfast feasts :) They've been gathering lots of goodies, to stock up their nests for the season :)
i began to gather our baking friday supplies, and decorations :) each week, it's so much fun, to begin setting up our kitchen, for our super fun adventure :) i used our nice new kitchen towels, to decorate our kitchen :) we love all of our nice baking friday supplies :) We get lots of great use, from the supplies each day, and week :) our nice aprons, oven mits, kitchen towels, and lots more :) it's such a special joy, and brings a warmth to our hearts :) You all are always with us in spirit, during our baking friday adventures :) We're with you all in spirit too, during your adventures :) i went outside, to get some apples, from our picnic table, and i washed the apples, and began to slice some apples :) i wanted to cook some of the apples, with cinnamon, and sugar on the stove, to make the apples soft, almost like apple sauce, with some chunks of apples :)
As the apples were cooking, i also prepared some nice pie crust doughs :) it was a nice simple recipe :) i used some flour, water, a little olive oil (vegetable oil) can be used too, i also added in a little sugar, and salt :) i made 2 of the pie crust doughs, and i put them in a bowl, and i covered the bowl and put the pie dough into the fridge :) i let the apples and cinnamon simmer cook on the stove :) our kitchen smelled great :) after the apples cooked, i put the apples into a bowl in the microwave :) i cooked a nice lunch, and enjoyed it, and spent some nice time here on ds this afternoon, writing to friends :) i went outside for another nature walk, around 2pm :) it was nice and breezy outside :) around 3pm, Alyssa, and the triplets were coming over :) we were all getting ready to bake :) Kayla was getting ready to help bake, and Jenn, Mikey, and baby Hunter came over :) Taylynn was watching some of her favorite videos on her laptop computer :) she came out into the kitchen, to see how we all were doing :) Throughout the course of the day, i enjoyed texting friends to wish them a happy baking friday :) it's a special baking friday tradition :) The kids were all excited, and we got our picture taken in the kitchen :) We were all set, and our kitchen was ready :) calling all cookie monsters! :) cookie monsters unite! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)
We began our super fun adventure! :) we first began to prepare the apple crisp :) We got a nice bowl, and the kids got spoons, and we began to add the ingredients into the bowl :) the kids love to help, and they get so proud, when they add in the ingredients :) They were saying, APPLES! :) my mom, Jenn, baby Hunter, and Alyssa were coming out into the kitchen too :) this was awesome! :) We added in apples, flour, oats, plus sugar, and cinnamon :) i used butterspray to grease the baking dish :) we then poured the apple crisp into the baking dish, and i put the apple crisp into the oven to bake! bake! bake! :) our kitchen was smelling like apples, and cinnamon :)
We began to prepare the apple turnover pastries, like mini apple pies :) we got the dough roller, and sprinkled flour onto the counter, and we then rolled each pie crust dough portion, and i used butterspray to grease the baking pan :) the kids were having so much fun, rolling the pie crust dough :) They were so into it, and we had flour all over the place! hehe! :) a flour party in the kitchen! :) hehe! :) i added a little apple sauce/apples, onto each portion of the dough, and then folded the rest of the pie crust over, and used a fork, to press down along the edges, to make the apple turnover pastries, they look like mini apple pies :) awesome! :) i then used butterspray to coat the top of the apple turnovers, and sprinkled cinnamon on the apple turnovers :) it was then time for the turnovers to bake :)

So many apples! Wow! Lucky you\'ve got lots of family to help eat them all :)
Glad you had a fun baking friday with children and Kayla. I agree - the smellof cinnamon and apples cooking is one of the best sniffs in the world. I always put a bit of honey in mine, about 2 teaspoons, and about 4 cloves which get removed before you put themin the pie. An old English recipe :)
Sending love to you all xxxx
