"these cookies are for 2019. Lets have some treats!"- my nephew Jacob said that today, during baking friday! :)

We dedicate this baking friday adventure, in loving memory of our dear angel friend forever, Carol (mycat) :)

baking friday!!! :) calling all cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters! :) hehe! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's baking friday! :) oh my! :)a super fun, flour flying, awesome happy new year's themed baking friday adventure in the kitchen!!! :) We had lots of fun today, enjoying our 1st baking friday adventure of 2019 :) We used special purple&green colors today, as a show of love, care, and support, for Holly during these trying times :) She's on her way, as she's been transported today, to an important place that will help to continue to guide her on her healing journey :) i talked with her twice today, and she said, to tell everyone hi, and she says thank you, and sends her love :) We're all keeping strong together, and are so thankful for our baking friday adventure today :) come on over, for some baking friday goodies! :)

We sure do love our baking friday adventures, and sharing our adventures with everyone :) keeping with the tradition, a wonderfully wholesome tradition :) today, Kayla, the kids, and i baked some awesome Stars themed sugar cookies for new year, and we also baked some onion pretzels :) our 1st baking friday adventure of 2019 :) Jacob was giving us some cheese crackers for reward, for doing well in the kitchen, preparing the goodies :) Awww! :) We love baking friday, and blossoming into a whole new year of baking friday adventures, fun, and lots of great memories being made :) We love the special t imes of baking friday, and thank you all, so very much for joining us in our kitchen each week, and for welcoming us into your kitchens :) We're so blessed, and thankful to have you all in our lives :)

You all have been helping us a lot, in helping us make it through some emotional times. :) We appreciate all of your love, care, support, for us, for Holly and her family :) it means the world to us : )You all inspired us very much, to keep on keeping on each day, and to have a fun baking friday adventure today :) We love getting into some baking friday fun :) this morning, we had a new day, rising and shining :) i've been looking forward to decorating our kitchen, for the 1st time this new year :) baking friday is such a special tradition, and all of the strength, hope, you all have been giving us, has been wonderfully inspiring to us, to keep on keeping on, with our days, traditions, and all of the wonderful strength, hope, is keeping us uplifted, and comforted :)

i began the day, with a nice nature walk :) i gathered a big bowl of goodies, for our nature friends, and went outside to put some treats in our backyard :) the birds and squirrels, love to gather the goodies :) they love their baking friday breakfast feasts :) the sky looked wonderful this morning, as the sun was rising up :) it was so nice, to see the sunrise sky :) i began to gather baking friday supplies, and decorations, and went out into our kitchen, to begin setting up, and decorating for our super fun adventure :) i decorated with a green&purple colors, 2019 new year theme : )Purple&Green are the favorite colors of Holly and i :) our kitchen looked so nice, decorated :) i made some calls, i got a chance to talk with Holly twice this morning, and learned later on, that she was transferred to the ED hospital, Sheppard Pratt, in Ellicott City :) her family and i, have been keeping in touch, writing eachother, and keeping in tune with eachother :) we're keeping strong together, and keeping very positive :) We're so thankful, and relieved that Holly is recieving wonderful care :) as i am writing this, she has called me, around 4:25pm, and i am so happy, and thrilled! :) she gave me some updates, and i passed the news, updates onto her brother, and Margie and Chet, and gonna call her friend Linda :) We're all working together, in this together, circle of love, surrounding Holly with love from us all, that she needs right now :)

Around the early afternoon, i was here on DS, writing to friends, checking in with Holly's family, and alo made a nice lunch :) i had a sandwich, and some banana peppers with crackers :) around late afternoon, my mom mentioned that Alyssa, Brodie, and the triplets were going to be coming over for baking friday, and that Jenn, and family were busy this late afternoon, but are always with us in spirit :) Kayla and Taylynn came home from school, and Alyssa, Brodie, and the triplets came over :) We were all gathering around, and getting ready to bake :) i've been keeping my family updated on Holly, hoping, and praying, for the very best for her :) She's very dear, and special our hearts :) You all are :) earlier in the afternoon, i prepared some onion pretzel dough, so that it would be rised up, to make some nice big pretzels :)

Each week, we love to use our nice baking friday supplies we've recieved from family and friends over the years :) i wear my apron, and we use our oven mits, kitchen towels, and all of our baking friday supplies, are a big part of our baking and cooking each week :) our kitchen was all set, and we were ready for our 1st baking friday adventure of 2019 :) calling all cookie monsters! :) cookie monsters unite! :) it's time to bake! bake! bake! :)

We began our super fun adventure :) Jacob wanted to help Kayla and i today,and Brayden and Colby also came out into the kitchen a bit :) We first began to prepare the sugar cookies :) Jacob was so proud, he was helping add the ingredients :) the kids are great helpers :) they get so proud, when they help :) baking friday teamwork! :) You all are always right there with us in spirit in the kitchen too :) We were preparing the sugar cookies, and got the star shaped cookie cutter :) We had some flour flying in the air in the kitchen too :) it was awesome! :) We were having so much fun, preparing the goodies :) i had my phone next to me close too, just incase any new updates on Holly :)

We used the star shaped cookie cutter, to make some shaped cookies, and also made some round shaped cookies :) i used butter to grease the pan, and i put the cookies into the oven, to bake! bake! bake! :) We were having fun preparing the goodies :) We began to prepare the onion pretzels :) the dough had risen nicely :) i got some water heating up on the stove, for the pretzels, and we made the pretzel dough into the nice shape of pretzels :) my mom and Alyssa, and Brodie were coming out into the kitchen too :) we were having fun visiting, baking :) the sugar cookies finished baking, i brought them out of the oven to cool down :)

i put the pretzel 2 at a time, into the boiling water, it helps make the pretzels get bigger :) then, put the pretzels onto the baking pan, and we drizzled butter and onion flakes onto the pretzels :) Jacob was giving Kayla and i some nice cheese crackers, as rewards for doing well, with preparing the goodies :) aww! :) he said, "you get a reward, you get a reward" :) aww! :) he loves to help bake :) The pretzels were baking nicely :) We then got ready to make the colored frostings :) We made yellow, purple and green colored frostings :)

The cookies cooled down : )We had fun decorating them, with the frostings, we wrote 2019 on the star cookies, and we used the frostings on the round cookies too :) the cookies came out great :) the pretzels finished baking nicely too :) my dad took a pretzel with him, before he went into work :) The pretzels are one of our favorite recipes :) We had so much fun baking :) i thanked Kayla and the kids for helping bake :) we love baking friday, and have many more super fun adventures to look forward too as the new year continues to blossom :) a very special shoutout, for family and friends :) lots of great baking, and cooking this week :) We love hearing about the foods, and goodies you all bake and cook :) We're with eachother in spirit, in our kitchens :) This is so much fun! :) i wish we all could gather, and have a big baking friday picnic :) Star Shaped 2019 Sugar Cookies, and Onion Pretzels, dedicated to our wonderful family, friends, to the wonderful loving memory of Carol (mycat), and to enjoying the wonderful simple joys in life :) We love you all so very very much! :) many great memories made, to always cherish and treasure :) baking friday, we love it!!! :) January 4th, 2019 :) Happy baking friday everyone! :)

Holly called me earlier, and updated me :) She gave us all, a phone number, and information about visits. She sounded well, in good spirits :) We're so glad, thankful, and relieved, that she's recieving good care :) We're all rallying around her, with continued comforting and uplifting love, care, and support :) i'll keep everyone updated on how she's doing, and her healing journey :) i told her, we all love her, and are very proud of her :)

We're having a nice day, baking friday, we love it!!! :) my family and i are doing ok, and keeping strong, in good spirits :) Thinking of Holly alot, and keeping in tune with her, and her family :) keeping everyone updated :) i'm going to try to call Holly this evening, to see how's she's doing :) i'll continue to keep everyone updated on her, her health, and healing journey :) it's been a very emotional week. i went to sleep a bit earlier last night, catching up on some much needed sleep :) we're all very thankful, that Holly is recieving care, and beginning her journey to good health. :) i'm going to call her this weekend, at times, and checking in to see the latest news :) her family has been thankfing me a lot, as i've been helping them, keeping everyone in tune, w ith the latest updates :) tomorrow, we're gonna go shopping at the dollar tree, i'm going to buy some gifts, goodies, and treasures :) it's gonna be nice shopping :) there's 4 NFL playoff football games this weekend, including Holly's Ravens :) i'm going to watch her Ravens, and cheering them on :) Her brother and i are gonna cheer them for Holly :) We're all keeping positive, and i'm so glad i can keep everyone updated here in my journals, on the latest updates on Holly :) Thank you angel friends, so very much, for all that you do for us, and for being here for us :) You all are wonderfully nice, sweet, and very caring :) We deeply appreciate everything, with all of the love of our hearts :) big group warm caring happy friendship hug :) We hope everyone enjoys a nice weekend :)
