Bad poetry
I wrote this on the evening of January 18, 2016, shortly after the doctors told us there were no more treatments available for Pat's cancer.
As she sleeps
The beauty of peace on her face,
I wonder how she chose me
To share her life.
And when she wakes
her smile is real;
Her love of life and sunshine
So true.
I see my reflection in
The light in her eyes
And I am humbled and honored.
These are the moments that I live for
And I have no idea
How I can live without them.
As she sleeps
The beauty of peace on her face,
I wonder how she chose me
To share her life.
And when she wakes
her smile is real;
Her love of life and sunshine
So true.
I see my reflection in
The light in her eyes
And I am humbled and honored.
These are the moments that I live for
And I have no idea
How I can live without them.

Very beautiful poem, I\'m sure your wife knew how much you loved her. When we lose someone we love, we are lost. I always thought of Tom as my port in the storm, now I\'m just drifting. You are not alone. God Bless.
So many people here say \"you are not alone\". I know that there are many others here struggling with their own grief too, but to be honest I do feel completely alone most times. Although we all are walking the path of grief, everyone\'s path is different. It seems as if there is a forest of tears filled with people who are mostly lost and alone, trying to find a way through without a map or a compass.
