Bad news from the surgeon
I went to the surgeon for a follow up on Friday, and he said that the swelling should have gone down by now, so I must have a spinal fluid leak. This was suggested to me right after I left the hospital and dismissed. This was suspected when I had my one month follow up, but ignored. Now he said that I would have to go back into the hospital for a few days to get it repaired.
This is after his billing staff has not properly billed the almost $15K worth of bills to Mainecare, but forwarded them directly to me to take care of. I am desperately poor, cannot work, and cannot get SSI to honor their responsibilities because I have no proper documentation from the loser doctors I've been seeing.
And there have been a lot of them! 15 doctors in the past 2 years, and still no success.
I so do not want to go back into the hospital for more surgery and even higher outstanding balances with the surgeon, whose staff obviously does not know how to bill Mainecare.
I am forlorn
