BAD news and GOOD news
I have some good news and some bad news. Lets go with the bad news 1st. I fell hard back into my shopping addiction on a recent trip to Chicago. I went there to meet a friend and of course to celebrate my being in the big city I had to shop. :(
I didnt spend too much, BUT I am ashamed. I have not been on dailystrength.org for awhile and I was fine ( because I have been unemployed with little money to spare), but going there I spurged. :( I desperately NEED to get back on track for many financial reasons...... I have GOALS for the near future.
The GOOD news is, I finally found a JOB!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!
After so many ups and downs during this past year and I half, I have something new that I can do with my free time other than shop. Also, I am trying to commit to paying off my debt. NOW that I will have a steady income coming in I can attack this. I printed up my credit report to stare my despair IN THE FACE. I have been paying a lot of my bills on time AND I want to pay all that I owe and be FREE again. Especially just the stupid little amounts in the world I owe. HOW dare I owe 68 measly dollars to a creditor and run out and buy a pair of $200 boots!! I think looking my issues in the face will make them more concrete. WHEW!! Wish me luck.
I feel like my being unemployed has taught me some real lessons about money, because I had to struggle and now I am ready to put what I have learned to use. All I have to do is find other things to do other than shop!
Unfortunately, my sister wants to go on a shopping trip for her birthday next month. I have decided to set a limit before I go and stick to it! It will be tough, but I have got to. I have soooo much stuff already and really do not need anymore. On the up, I have so much stuff, I see a lot of stuff I already have when I shop illuminating the need for it.
