Let Bob and Judy give advice on th8s one. I drink and smoke weed. I don't think it's bad but that's me personally. I don't want my beliefs to effect your life in this way. Tristan is your saving grace. <3
It might not ever come up. I been with Cory forever so whatever I tell him hes cool with. If I told him I smoked weed after a couple months, believe me, he would say that's a deal breaker. He said if anything happens then he didn't know about it. He said it's a phase I'm going through like my thing with girls which could be true but I am who I am so that's all that matters. Just don't do it often if he's that sensitive to it. Loves.
From everything you've said, Tristan seems like a good guy. But, let's say he does something out of character. He hangs out with his buddies at a party, gets drunk, and makes out with another girl on his friend's couch. Would you want him to tell you or keep it a secret? How would it feel hearing the news from someone else?
Trust is the foundation of relationships that stand the test of time. If you want to have a long-term relationship with him, it's good that you start developing that trust now. It makes sense that you're worried about damaging the relationship. But secrets create distance. The truth brings people closer. Generally speaking, it's easier to forgive mistakes than deception. The fact that you don't feel able to tell him you were drinking means that there is a problem in your relationship. It's important that you openly communicate with each other, even when it's difficult.
I hope that you will change your mind, have a heart-to-heart conversation with Tristan, and grow from this experience. I also hope that you'll decide to stop drinking, because not only do you risk losing him, you risk losing yourself.

Oh... talk to me girl. I'll check in more often today for you. I'm going to the beach this morning so I'll have a couple hours in the car.
He will find out eventually....best to stop now...that's coming from a former addict.....hugs
