Bad Dreams
Wow! It's 2:30am. I woke up on my stomach with my back locked up. Thought I was going to be stuck like that. It took a couple of minutes to work myself into a sitting position. It's very painful. But at least a slept solid for a few hours.Anyone else have insomnia?I'm OK though. I've taken a pain pill and will drink some coffee. Then I'll be able to sleep for a couple of more hours. My pain levels are pretty high. My stump doesn't hurt, it's the rest of me. My back and the arthritis in my knee. I just know I'm going to be OK, though. I have every faith in the Lord.

My knees lock up too when I am asleep, and I feel like I am stuck permanently. Of course, that makes me panic, and that makes the muscles more tense, making the lock even tighter. I do my best to relax as much as possible, and try to roll to another position without unlocking my knees. Often, just that change helps and I can slowly begin to move them. Or I reach down and massage my knees all over, and my legs as much as I can reach, and they will unlock.
My back locks up as well. I started doing some t\'ai chi months ago, and it really helped to build my core strength. I think that it is possible to do some of the moves from a chair, until you get your new leg and are good to go on that. Yoga, of course, is great for backs. And yes, even big girls can do yoga and t\'ai chi!
