Bad Day

I had to walk away from the office "b" so I wouldn't turn around and tell her to SHUT UP!  She is a co-worker but thinks she is in charge, you know, the one with the brown nose?  Anyway, I can't afford to lose my job so I kept my mouth shut. It's not one of my best days, still coping with Mike's death and my Brother back in the hospital with more complications.  He could barely talk to me this morning because of the tubes they have had to insert to keep his stomach clear. God, sometimes I wonder why there is so much testing of our patience.

After 30+ years of office work, I sooooooo get what you are going through! One of the things I have always done is exactly what you are doing - write or talk about it to friends who understand. And sometimes there is a way to ignore these people without appearing to deliberately do so - just being so busy, or so absorbed in your own tasks, etc. Like you said, you need your job, and you don\'t want to give here that much power over you, right?

Exactly Laura. Of course everyone knows that there is always one or two people like that in an office. Believe me, this woman has no heart, never shows emotion and thinks work should take priority over everything even when the chips are down. Of course I believe that we should all work to the best of our ability and keep personal things out of the office, but.... there are those days and those major things that happen. You know the old saying. Thanks for commenting, I am so glad you understand.
