Backsplash

I actually found a nice backspash for the DIY kitchen farmhouse look. It's "tin" and a pretty dark color but not black. More of a brown. It's not copper. I was thinking of silver colored tin but that didn't really strike me when I saw it in person and took a look at a large area finished in the silver.

So I bought 2 of the darker tins. They are for ceilings or for backsplash. They are all over youtube. But guess what? They are plastic... NOT tin! And you don't cut yourself up and have to use tin snips. You just use heavy duty scissors and mark and cut them. wow... And I got like liquid nails to adhere it. I also need to get some 2 sided tape so it won't slip .

I need to watch a few more vids before I actually start. I think they are going to be gorgeous. Then I will really really want the cabinets done in white. 

I painted my 1940s breadbox today. I now am just letting it dry and then I will put the hardward back on and stencil some black ornate designs on it like I did the glass canisters... so it will all be matchy matchy. Hubbie doesn't understand the matchy matchy. He is really high stressed and not understanding... but he is biting his tongue. I think he just needs to go drink a few beers and get over it.

I found myself at Lowes... looking at stuff... getting more and more anxious. I bought 2 tins to start out...and came home bawling my eyes out bc I was so stressed ... Hubby came home from work and found me bawling my eyes out bc I after ten years of him badgering me about the house... I'm just going into anxious mode. 

So I will have to take my xanax and he can drink . Just kidding... LoL

But I have to have something to do. My lady came to clean and she worked 3 hours in just the bathroom. Can u really clean that much in the bathroom. Holy cow!!! I am just not a housekeeper... I hit the high spots and then run to find something to paint. ... or sew... or make. LoL. My reasoning w/ cleaning is... "It is just going to be dirty again as soon as I let the dogs in... ugh"

Teaching tomorrow and I can feel that it is going to be a tough day bc I over did it today.

Oh well. I had fun.
