Back to the Grind

On many levels it feels great to be home. My view of home has been greatly refreshed for the solid month of River time. It was my first tour of the Ohio River Valley. That is a big, ol' valley. Don't let the state of Ohio define it for you.  It was great to find some new spots while revisiting old favorites in the Lower Mississippi River Valley. I can listen to civilized conversation a bit easier now that the call of the wild has been answered for a calming spell.
Now...
10 days till my youngest son gets married. I am not all the way sure the call of the wild has calmed THAT far.

Oh arfie..we are so alike in many ways .

I too, feel the call of the wild in my blood.

I used to live in the Mountains above Santa Cruz Ca. A lovely fern verdant place to live.

Being stuck in the hot Central Valley of CA...well, lets just say, it has NOT been a good place for my spirit /soul.

I miss the Ocean of Santa Cruz, and the Mountains above
