BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD!
HELLO, GOT BACK HOME JUST A SHORT TIME AGO. GOT GOOD NEWS AND NOT SO GOOD NEWS. THE GOOD NEWS IS HE DOESN'T HAVE BLOCKAGES. HE HAS A NARROWING OF ARTERIES BELOW THE KNEE. THE DOCTOR THAT LOOKED AT HIS TEST SAY THEY SEND A PATIENT WHO HAS NARROWING BELOW THE KNEE TO HAVE THEM CHECK IT OUT. THEY LISTENED TO HIS ARTERIES IN HIS LEG AND SAID THEY WERE FINE. NOW WE'RE BACK TO SQUARE ONE TO FIND OUT WHY HIS LEGS ARE SO BAD. THEY SAID IT COULD BE NEURAPATHY OR IT COULD BE CAUSED FROM HIS BACK. THEY WILL LET HIS PRIMARY DOCTOR KNOW AND SHE WILL SEND A CONSULT TO THERAPY AND SEE IF THERE IS ANYTHING THEY CAN DO.
THEY DID TALK ABOUT DOING NERVE BLOCKS AT ONE TIME BUT HE'S ON BLOOD THINNERS AND THEY DON'T WANT HIM OFF OF THEM. OUR YOUNGEST SON HAD THEM DONE AND THEY HELPED FOR A WHILE. WE'RE JUST WAITING TO SEE WHERE THEY GO NEXT. THEY MAY ALSO DO ANOTHER MRI TO SEE IF HIS BACK IS ANY WORSE.
SO THAT'S WHERE WE STAND RIGHT NOW. WILL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED AS I KNOW ANYTHING. HOPE EVERYONE HAD A BLESSED EVENING. HUGS, CHRIS

Goodness, Chris! Seems the doctors don\'t really know what exactly is wrong with your husband\'s legs!! Are they sure it\'s the arteries and not the veins? Veins can get clots too!! Don\'t want to confuse you. I\'m sure the docs are doing all the proper tests to get the proper diagnosis.
If hubby is on blood thinners, that would be the treatment for the vein problem....so they\'re being very cautious. I will continue to pray for both of you!! Keep us updated!!!!

HELLO, THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENTS. YES THE DOCTORS ARE BEING CAREFUL WHAT THEY CAN DO AND CAN\'T. THAT\'S ONE THING THEY DO FOLLOW THROUGH THOROUGHLY. HE HAS ENOUGH DOCTORS AND CLINICS FOLLOWING HIM. LOL! HE GETS REALLY GREAT CARE. THAT\'S WHY WE LIKE THE VETERANS HOSPITAL. ALL THE PA\'S AND DOCTORS HE SEES ARE REALLY GOOD TO HIM. WILL UPDATE WHEN I KNOW ANYTHING NEW.

my hubby goes to VA also. They follow him real closely. One good thing about being aveteran isn\'t it. I sure hope they find the cause of this. So far two years into this and still looking for a cause for us. Praying for the both of you!!!!!

Prayers sent that all will go well and the doctors do figure out the problem so can be resolved. Prayers for the doctors to have this wisdom given to them...
I know that even when on a blood thinner can get a blood clot... my BIL went through this not long ago ... he was already in the hospital at the time and being monitored. The clot developed while he was in the hospital & they caught it & were able to take care of it. He is on cummadin.
