Back to the Boom
Yesterday's diversion was good medicine. What an odd burg collection I found here at the end of the trace of Land Between the Lakes which runs from Kentucky to Alabama. . . The studio manager who ran the sound board had some delightful tales about how the mini metroplex came to have so many city limits signs in such a small-by-carbaric-standards came to be.
YS's birthday is Monday. I guessed right that the stressed out daddy does, indeed, want to celebrate his 33rd. He even said, with detailed clarity, what he wants. ES has already laid in the supplies and double checked with me to find out when my arrival will permit the event to commence. That's what *I* call progress. Too bad *that* progress is still situated in what Fashion Zip Code Boomers call Progress. Letting God lead the dance. . .
I currently sit 800 interstate miles from the Urban Homestead. Looks like I need to invest the next two days to hard driving. May even stoop to using the interstates, once I reach them. This odd burg collection isn't very close to any of the interstates.
The daily inventory is looking good. I am even tempted to claim that healing happened.

wow.....total miss,,,,thought you were at the homestead....ugh...two more days of travel! really hope the speed way will get you home quickly without too much traffic. Glad to read you are feeling well....God knows you've worked hard to maintain, and get back to brain clarity. My best to you and your travels....ml
Road warrior here. . . The road is the only home I have ever felt at home in. Still. I tried to be a townie, but I couldn't do it. After 37 years, hubs is finally understanding what that means. Can't believe he still loves me anyway.
Keeping to carbaric efficiency on this leg of the wander. Got the interstate blinders on and cruise control set to five miles over the posted speed limits. Estimated time of arrival at the homestead: 2:30 p.m. CST.
