Back to the anxiety

So, I have had a really good couple of weeks.  I have managed to keep my anxiety at bay, it has reared its ugly head a couple of times, but I have been able to calm myself down and distract myself.  I have been active with my kids and my husband, been doing more around the house, keeping up the house better (it's not terrible, just toddler messy).  I've been really proud and happy about it.

And now my kids have brought home another cold for me.  I just got over the last cold, have been feeling significantly better for about 2 weeks/1 1/2 weeks and now I am sick again.  It is all congestion, no fever or anything like that.  But I have asthma, so it really affects my breathing.  I have these...hitches to my breath that I feel on the right side.  They are not long lasting, they are like a small stutter, and not often but every time I have one, the anxiety and self-doubt come in.  I become convinced I am going to die, this is it, it's my heart etc., etc.

I'm just so tired of it.  I guess I should be grateful, I can't remember the last time I had 2 whole good weeks.  But I am so disappointed that I cannot control myself better.  That my brain is so messed up that even though one part of it know, hey, you have a cold with asthma, you are not going to be feeling well, I still have to go through the, I'm dying, phase too.

I wish I could be "normal" again.
