Back to Struggling

It's been a while since I have been on here, I can see the roller coaster that I was on at one point. My moods are more stable now, but not the best. I am now on Prozac, but I wonder if it is working to it's fullest. I still feel like I don't belong anywhere. I don't know if I am self sabotaging, or am I really just a screw up? Why must everything bad happen to me? I try so hard to be positive and see the good in everything and everyone, but in reality, I trust no one. I hate myself. The only thing in my life that I have done right is raising 4 beautiful children. I need to be good for them. But it is getting so hard to hide. I try to reach out to friends, but then I realize that I don't have any because those that I thought were my friends actually weren't. They say I am a drama queen. My husband will agree that I have issues, but he says my "depression" is just an attempt to get attention. My own sister says the same thing. My mother tells me that my life is no bad enough for me to be depressed. I need to get into counseling, but my appointment is not until next month. Ughh, I feel so lost and no one seems to understand. Why can't I just snap out of this?!?!

I\'m sorry you are feeling this way and it sounds like you have no one to talk to. I think going to counseling is a great idea. If you are clinically depressed, there\'s no \"snapping out of it\". People think they should just \"get over it\" but it is a disease that needs treatment. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate and everyone around you just wants more from you. Remember to make yourself happy first and you can\'t please everyone. Someone will always have something to complain about. Try to take more time for yourself, it sounds like you are very busy. Hopefully you can find some natural ways to help you through this until you can talk to a therapist, like meditating, walking outside, relaxing bath. Good Luck.

I am realizing that there is no \"snapping out of it\", even with my meds. I think my husband is starting to realize it as well, (even though he calls it my \"crazy issues\"). I am just awaiting my appointment for counseling, I just wish it was sooner. Thank you for the ideas.
