Back to School
I haven't gained or lost weight, but I am very pleased that I have worked out four times in the last two weeks. That is a miracle for the first two weeks of school! The hours go from leisure days of summer to 12-15 hour days, it is absolutely crazy. I have planned my salads and vegetables and managed my workouts. The only thing I fell into was the stress eating at my desk after school. I tried to examine the triggers and I am working on fixing those. I have some gum for after school and that helped a lot. I am also trying to drink water right after school. Since I have to watch my water intake throughout the day because I can't use the restroom whenever I want, I find myself thirsty after school and I think that is why I am grabbing food. So, I am trying to recognize those things and make adjustments because I am calculating that I am grabbing about 400 calories after school that I don't need. I know I need a snack, but I need to keep it under 200 calories and drink more water and chew some gum. I am proud of myself for recognizing these things and not just letting go and falling into the same traps, that is really a big deal. I have to let go of the emotional part and tackle it like I would any other problem. Problem solve it and move on.
