Back to school
Well, today is the kids' first day back to school after the long holiday break. Over the break, my son's symptoms have gotten so much worse. His tics are very much noticable now and his behavior is just outta control. I'm dreading the note to be sent home with him. Thankfully my meeting with the school is tomorrw and we can get this ball rolling. His doctor agrees there is definately something going on, but we have to wait for the school to finish their part of the assessments and give me some documentation before she can refer me to a nureologist, which happens to be in Pheonix, a 3 hour drive, one way. I also have to take my youngest to a specialist in Pheonix since he is 3 1/2 and still not talking. Meanwhile, I start going to school full time in about a week. I'm excited about that, however I'm slightly nervous about child care since I tend to lose providers so fast due to my son's behavior. I always warn the sitter ahead of time and they always assure me that it's fine, they can handle it, then a week later, they quit. Because they can't handle it. And I don't blame them, it's just frustrating.
BUT...... I do see a light at the end of this tunnel!!!!!

So I went to the scheduled meeting for my son yesterday and when I got there they said they had already had it without me. Why in the hell schedule a meeting WITH me then have it without me??? Needless to say I was a tad upset.
The end result was that they decided to have him seen by their child psycologist and needed to sign a release form, which I did. I told them that the doctor is just waiting on any kind of documentation from them to give me a referral and they said it could take up to 2 months before I get anything back! Are you kidding me??? We are not waiting another 2 months. So I came home, googled adhd checklist for teachers and printed it out. I sent the form to school with him this morning. I also printed out a checklist for tourette\'s syndrome and filled that one out myself. I\'m going to take both forms to his doctor tomorrow and hopefully I\'ll have a referral within a week.
