Back On Track- C25k Update
I walked over 1.5 miles today, so I'm back on track for the C25K thing. I was off for a while because of my knee, but now I'm feeling better and ready to start again. Today I walked a lot just to get things done, tomorrow I do strength training and then Wednesday I do my 1.75 miles, Friday I do 2 miles. I'm finding that I walk a lot faster now than I did when I started. I don't know why, since I've only been doing this for 2 weeks, but I see a noticeable improvement in my walking times that I log on Spark. I guess getting started is when you see the most improvement, well, I know that lol. It's encouraging to see some progress, though. I know 1.5 miles is part of week 1, but I did it in the 25 minutes for week 2 so I'm just going to keep going on Week 2 of the program. They say if you don't feel up to increasing your week, you can just do the previous week over, so I guess that's what I'm doing. I'm just doing week 2 again.
It's good to know I'm getting better. I feel okay today, not too bad. Yesterday I put my mood as good just because I wanted a smiley face next to my dad's entry, but today I'm actually feeling okay. I saw my psych today, and he increased my Prozac to 40 mg so we will see how that goes. I hope it doesn't send me into another mood swing, but I have to do what I can to get out of depression. I also finished my preliminary paperwork for volunteering at the clinic, so I got my ID badge today and I will find out when I start tomorrow. I'm kinda excited to start volunteering, as it gets me out of the house which I need, and it gives me something to look forward to.
It also gives me some responsibility, so I can see how I handle that. I haven't had any sort of responsibility since I quit my job in November over the mental issues and I don't deal with stress well. I will have to see how stressful this job is going to be. I need to start back on that Stress Busting thing on Spark, but I keep on forgetting. I'm supposed to do 10 minutes of stress busting stuff a day, but I always forget. I have a stress ball that looks like a pineapple, maybe move it to my room or someplace where I can see it and think "Hey, I need to do my stress busting stuff now" or something. Normally summer is when I deal with hallucinations, but it's been good this year so far. I think it's a combination of the Risperdal and just not thinking about them. If I expect something to happen, it's going to happen.
I talked to my mom today. She wants me to come visit her again, which would be nice. I do miss her, and it would be good to get away. I just have to see how it works out with the volunteering and stuff. Lately her and I have been getting along, and she's going through some hard stuff financially, so she's dealing with that. Her husband doesn't want to get a job and work, so she's stuck with making all the money for the car payments and phone. They live with her mother in law, so they don't pay rent, but they do pay for food and 2 cars. It makes me glad sometimes that I don't have a car- all the money that goes into having and maintaining one. Gas is going down again, but it's still expensive. My mom I think just wants someone in her corner, since things aren't going well for her at work or home. I would like to be that person, I would like to be known as someone my mom can count on, even if I can't count on her all the time.
Here's the link for my food and exercise for the day: http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_tracker.asp?id=LARISSA238&dte=6%2F20%2F2011 I did pretty good today, just had a horrible day yesterday with the ribs (I had no idea they had so many calories!) and I had a bunch of peanuts since my in laws are on a low carb diet and they didn't have much other food there. I might weigh tomorrow, if not on Wednesday like normal to see the damage. Friday Geo and I are going out to dinner to celebrate our 6 year anniversary, so I'm going to go out and enjoy myself. I know kinda what to eat and what not to, but it's up to me if I decide to have a spoil myself night, or a more in control night. Stress is low today, and sleep was pretty good (10 hours with klonopin, plus a 2 hour nap). Tonight I'm not going to take any klonopin just because I've been taking it a lot and I don't want to get addicted. I just have had to be up early in the morning, so I've been taking it to get to sleep before 12 or 1am.

It\'s good to see that you are doing your C25K again, I know that is important to you. You have a certain \"sitck to it\" type personality where you seem to want to stick to something you start and that is a good thing . I am glad to see that you are able to walk again. You go girl!
Good job with the walking.
About the stress busting. How about doing right after you write your journal. You are good at doing that so maybe you can connect the two.(even before you do the journal)
Hope you get to see your mom. Sounds like she could use you.
Glad you aren\'t having the Hallucinations.
Happy Anniversary.
Have a fun night out. don\'t worry ,,, eat the best you can.
