Back on the wagon...

Hi ladies! I'm sorry I've been MIA. I was going through a funk for a while. After a recent vacation (photos posted on my Facebook), which was fabulous, I'm feeling more like myself and ready to go at it again. AF arrived last night. (Yuck!) So, the "take a vacation and it will happen," trick did not work for me (I was not holding my breath!). I had my baseline u/s today and everything went well. My antral count was a bit low, in my opinion, but I guess it's about average for me (6-7 on right; 3 on left). My RE does not have a big concern about my egg reserve, but admits that I might have a "slight diminish" in reserve. Not very encouraged to hear this at the young age of 32. I digress... For this cycle, we are planning to increase my stims A LOT. My last IUI, I only had one mature follicle. I should know my dosage/protocol tomorrow and start stims this weekend. The treatment plan (OI, IUI, IVF) will be determined based on my response. We're hoping for enough follicles to try a 5th IUI. On the other hand, if I stimulate enough for an IVF, we may go that route. The last time we met with the RE, he suggested that we add DHEA. Anyone have any experience with this? From what I understand, the jury is still out on whether or not it actually helps conception. But, at this point, if it doesn't hurt, I'm willing to give it a try.  I am so happy for my friends who have already become mothers, as well as those who are well on their way to motherhood. And, still very hopeful for those of us who continue on this journey. Don't give up, OUR TIME WILL COME!!! Statistically speaking, it has to happen sooner OR later, right? I'll keep you posted.  Take care!Alli
