back on statins//kv (age 32) is in a nursing home//dinner at k's//breakfast out w/ j//pedicure specl

its cold out - 59 degrees and as always i'm sick from that.  i have the heat set at 83.  glad i didn't advertise this week, because it'd be a waste of time.  a lot of people are sick.  my landscaper didn't show up today, and didn't occur to me until afterward that he is probably sick too.  two of the kittens were the first ones.  then rn said she was vomiting kind of sick and so is the baby she babysits.  then i thought, wonder if that bacteria was on the carrier when i brought her cat in to get fixed?    but this doesn't feel like that kind of sick.  its the lungs full and tight kind from cold air.  grrrr.  time to move to key west.  lol.  its full of pythons down there nowadays though.

we are having a problem with 3 raccoons over here.  they were back again yesterday.

went to a special to get my nails done.  its cancer awareness month (glad they chose October for that as i'm not a fan of halloween at all).  the nails are done in pink and they draw on gold infinity symbol on the big toe.  it looks great.  it was only $10 for the pedicure and the whole thing goes for cancer research.  if they do this every year, i'll go every year.  this was the first year, but very little advertising.

i'm in terrible spirits.  went to k's for dinner.  tried to feed the cat that won't eat.  he called marjorie to see if she would take him and she said no.  the cat seems to want to be alone and have one on one time, hard to do with multiple animals.  did a rescue of a mother and son that were to be killed at 5 p.m.  the mother is tiny and solid black.  super nice.  the son is TWICE her size and ten months younger than her.  lol.  he is orange.  i think k got a kick out of them once he was used to it.  a lot of chuckling.  he is always happier when he has kittens at his house, even if he doesn't realize it.  it changes his mood completely for weeks.  i traded him the mother and son, for two of his kittens (that are perfect company for the youngest kitten over here and all blended well).  gave k nutrical for the cat that isn't eating, but he had to come and pick it up at my beach house, because i'm running behind from being sick mostly from the statins.

we had fettucine in wine sauce.  it was great.  and lemon layered cake by pepperidge farm for dessert.  bourban and cokes and wine.  all normal.  was watching inspector morse, which i love and some super old movie on tcm, but i don't remember the name of it.
went to breakfast with j the following day at waffle house.  their super star breakfast, which is what i normally get, went up TWO dollars from last year.  wtf?  lots of places are up one dollar this year, but two dollars?
everything smells like cigars, even at the house, either its coming in on clothing from j, or the new people in the house behind us smoke outside and it comes alllll the way upstairs?  pretty weird.
also kv is in some kind of nursing home.  they finally gave him treatment or surgery for whatever was wrong with his esophogus and he says the doctors screwed up.  w says he was so out of it he sounded like he was 100 years old.  kv is only 32.  its very sad.  he has had medical troubles his entire life.  surgery at birth with his heart.  then super healthy and athletic but on meds.  then the navy gave him meds that contradict his meds and he ended up with medical troubles again.  now this.  its amazing how young many people have serious medical troubles.  w says he had just spoken to him a couple of days before and when he called again, kv says to him, its kv, remember me, i used to live next door to you a couple of years ago...so whatever the doctors did or gave him messed with his  short term memory...i hope for his sake its temporary?
w was by to warn about snakes.  they come out now and won't hiberate until january.  i always thought summer was their big time out.  two raccoons were asleep on my lounge chair, FREAKED me out, so i have to reinstall the bright light and called the landscaper to tell him.  i have never had to deal with this much wildlife ANYWHERE until i moved to north florida.

i'm back on statins, so as always i feel like hell again every day.  could be why they say to take it at night, except i couldn't sleep with them at night.  they make me ill.  i was getting brain surges/pressure and the statins get rid of that.  so does aspirin, but it needs the statins to really get rid of it.  the statins make me very grumpy and irritable and not at all me.  hope i don't need them permanently.

felt better today with the statins, i took TWO q 10 vitamins, and they help get rid of the statin side effects. still don\'t like them, but really have no choice. its like we live our life and then spend the second half of our lives just hanging on and trying to survive because without all the miracles drugs we would all be dead already. we complain about the side effects but without the drugs we would die. and the reality is, we should already be dead, so we are just hanging on this way and whatever we get out of it is a gift and borrowed time.

just got the book \"1003 great things about getting older.\" they are writing about from the 20\'s and up. i never looked at it that way, but it probably is.

the \"son\" is missing. i thought i heard him in the front living room (k has 3 living rooms) but k insists its gone. so now on the look out for him. the mother keeps walking around meowing and looking. i looked under the furniture and i didn\'t see anything. we have had this happen before and the animals WAS there. the siamese hid for a couple of MONTHS and then came out, slinking. i think they come out at night and eat. 3 years later that siamese decided we could pet her. that is the situation now. it took her three years as of two years ago. time flies.

i am hoping this situation is the same. why would it leave? if i had the address i could see if it attempted to go back where it came from? but it was surrendered in early august. what a mess.
