Back in Sunny Chicago?

Hello Community,
Mickie and I are back in Chicago from Florida.   We stayed at the Vinoy/Renaisance.
I tried to upload some pictures, but they were to large for DS to handle so I have included the hotel's site.

We had a great and relaxing time.  Lots of walking and lots of seafood.  We even played miniature golf.  I gouged on crab, oysters and shrimp.  I am sure that this upset my cholesterol levels...WTF
Sunday was fun as we watched Florida State win the ACC tourney.  We were at a local seafood bar (we had fish tacos and beer) and the crowd (Floridians) were going crazy.
It is weird returning to a warm and sunny Chicago.
Saturday we drive to Dallas for about 10 days or so.
I wish everyone well.
Take care,
Joe

Thanks for bringing back the Florida warmth with you. Love these upper 70\'s (80) temps for mid March in northern Illinois. Glad you had a great time and safe trip. Dan

Hi Dan,

I am not sure about \"bringing\" the FL weather to IL. However, I am glad that it is warm here (Chicago).

Joe

The hotel looks fabulous. Was it as relaxing as it looks? I am jealous, but glad you are having some good times. I will have to keep that link handy in case I ever get the chance to go there. Take care and have fun in Dallas.

Hi CM,

The hotel was very nice. Interestingly, it was a it was vacant for 18 years and was a \"home\" for the homeless, drug dealers, and the like. The area was renovated as a resort area.
Thanks, We will have fun in Dallas.

Take care,
Joe

Sounds like a great trip Joe,

The seafood sounds wonderful and I\'m definitely with you on the cholesterol WTF - enjoy it while you can is my new way of thinking.

Your adventures sound my idea of heaven, good company, good food and plenty of walking ....... bliss.

I hope you enjoy Dallas as much as you had Florida.

Take care

Hi Julie,

Strangely, Dallas has been cooler than Chicago and we have much rain...Not good for walking..but good for Dallas as Texas has been in a drought.

Thanks for the thought.

Take care,
Joe
