Back from Vacation and Awaiting Beta Results

Hi, friends!  We had a lovely week in Rhode Island, during which I mostly slept, like I'd promised.  We got to see our godsons, whom we adore... and I'm glad that I'm finally over the sadness of the 8-month old who was conceived a year after we started trying, and is now a real baby.  We also got to see a friend whose IVF baby is 9 months old.  That really gives me hope.  She only had 4 eggs, and most were of terrible quality, but she became a mother on the first try!  Me, this is try #3, and GOD I hope it works! I gave blood for the beta this morning, so I'll be hearing the news this afternoon.  My hubby is coming in about 1:00 p.m.  After the vacation he drove his parents back from Rhode Island to upstate New York, and is flying home today. I had nightmares all night and have chewed the hell out of this one piece of gum today, which I found in the armrest of the car when I took it to Jiffe Lube this morning for something to do.  I'm thinking of taking our other car to Jiffe Lube now.  Hell, I'll spend all day in the nasty little Jiffe Lube waiting room!  Wouldn't that be a fun way to wait for a beta test? I'll stop writing now because I have to cross my fingers.  I'll let you know soon how it turns out.
