Back Again

As so many have done before me, I'm afraid I come and go. I sometimes think we appear hoping for a sense of belonging.  Hoping to be heard, listened to and encouraged since in the real world, so many of us are not. For me. I come back to where I can vent and fall apart and perhaps gather some kind words and encouragement when I feel none.

I finally went through all the steps and jumped through hoops to get the title to sell my house. Today was 4 months from the original closing date. 2 days ago I learned that now there is another issue on the buyers side with their bank and now they need more documents. I am praying very hard that all pulls together in this month  or I am planning to have to start all over and put it back on the market. I've allowed them to live there contingent on final sale but fear it may never  end. Sadly, I do need the money from the sale.  They are currently paying lot rent and expenses but I hear he is working long hours (up to 70 hrs a week) to try to make this work.  I really want to see them get the house and I really do want this to end so I can finally move on.

I am on first appeal with Disability, but fortunate enough to have a check from Dave for surviviors to help me make ends meet as much as possible for now.

Health issues are better with less hours and wear and tear for the most part. And I  have gotten used to readjusting and dealing with problems wherever they pop up. What does sometimes worry me is how easy it is for me to isolate in my comfy apt with my tv and watching the critters outside my front windows. Depression and anxiety have kind of taken over, I work on eating healthy, but often resort to fast and easy which is usually not balanced or healthy.

I think back to days past when there were more of us here and also I was in a better place and always tried to give words of encouragement to others because I know how much we need that. Im ashamed that I have not done (or even felt able to do) that forever.

Hugs my friend, you are right. DS is not what it used to be. As for the sale of the house, since the interest rates went up, people are holding back. I hope they can pull this one through. Looking after yourself is important. I love it when I come home, lock that door to humanity. We need a safe space to recharge and wind down. Take as much "me" time as you need. I am still doing it. Gentle hugs

Most of the time, it's a case of having to do extra paperwork. I have seen that happen to others, but I hope you get your money soon.

By the way, you have nothing to be ashamed of! If you come, we are delighted to have you but if not, that's ok too! Things happen in our life and we don't always feel like doing the things we use to do. That's ok!

God Bless

Yup pop in whenever you want or need. You have shared so much that many of us know you and care about you. This is the real world:) I don’t think it’s an escape when we’re honest.
I start dinner with a salad. It’s easy and healthy. After that it’s easy to just have a side of something for balance.
As you know I love to walk. My schedule has been very busy so I have to make a real effort to put the time aside for my walking. Especially this time of year. It always makes me feel good.
All my love,J

Praying for completion of your sale. I commend you for your perseverance--you have kept going and getting things done no matter how you felt. Are there any groups you are part of or could join so that you get some fellowship? I find that at my church, but if you don't attend church, there are clubs for many different interests. If there's a regular schedule to follow for the meetings, or services at a church, that will help motivate you to go and be with people. God bless you as you carry on.

Ugh yeah selling a house… it’s tough. I have faith things will work out.

And agree there is nothing to be ashamed about. I come here purely for the Camaraderie. While DS has helped me in times of need and I hope I have helped a few in a time of need, most of my time spent here is just being part of a community, on my own terms. I don’t have to be a fixer, or a helper. And I don’t have to be in need myself. I can just be. I love DS, been here since 2007. But it is not a substitute for living one’s life. Balance in all things.

I think it’s awesome all you have accomplishment and the strides you have made. This is growth honestly. It’s a good thing!

You all should know you have been a help (to me at least) and I do believe that is a big part of being on here.
Thanks
