BABY LAUGHING!!!!????
ok, my baby is nuts. she is what, 3 days old? going on 4? she SMILES all the time, awake or asleep, it cant all be gas. i dont think she knows she is smiling but she does do it. today in the elevator, im not the only one who saw it so im not crazy. i hear this squeaking or something coming from the carseat i was carrying, i thought she had the blanket in her face or something, so i uncovered her to check, and there she was, for all to see, with a GIGANTIC smile on her face, gums and all showing, cracking up laughing sound asleep, even sighed at the end of it to catch her breath. now i dont know what was so funny, but that sure as hell wasnt gas. the guy in the elevator was as shocked as i was! cause she is obviously newborn. i wish i had a camera at all times. she also rolls, and when she gets on her stomach she can push herself up, and cross her arms and lays her head on them to sleep. i have to be careful of that. lol but she does sleep like me, same positions, its in my pics, look at it! although its the most awful pic of me. im swollen, retaiining water and all, but its CUTE cause she is just like me sleeping.my guy friend i talked about in my other entry came to help me again. he took me to my dr appt. lucky he was there, i got dizzy, i wouldnt have been able to carry Ariyah the rest of the way. had to stop at the store as well, he carried her around, as funny as this is i had to go to the store for a nursing bra. i have nothing for any kind of support. he pushed her around in the cart while i tried them on. he dont care if people look at him like it is his baby, he really loves her. says he never thought that he would want a family until he looked at her. he stayed at my place for a while, and watched her while i slept a bit. it actually calmed me down. its hard to sleep, i spend so much time LOOKING at her, just watching her face. its hard for me to put her down, even when she is sleeping cause then she is so cuddly and soft and tiny. i need to make myself calm down, i know its normal, but i need to sleep, im scared of the post pardum. remember what happened when i had my miscarriage? gives me shivers, i dont want to feel that way again, that dark hole. i hope having Ariyah here, and breastfeeding her, and all that will prevent the dark feelings. i feel alone often, it helped having him here, but i dont want him to feel like im using him, and i dont want to use him, or start something jsut cause im emotional. he says he understands and is happy to just be around Ariyah. well thats all for now. got to take a nap while she is quiet, lol. i could actually sleep through the night, just waking up to feed her, she really is that good most times, just everytime she peeps or fusses i go through all these things in my head, check diaper, feed her(again) even if she just ate, burp her again. i just started giving her a binky. that helps. and the rest of the time that i could be sleeping i am thinking about feeding her. i lose track of time staring at her. lol. well enjoy the pics. thank you all.

Oh she is soooo beautiful, you both are!!! What a wonderful mom you are and I know it is hard not to hold them and cuddle them all the time. I did it too with Bailey, heck I still lie awake at night and just watch her sleeping. LOL She will always be my little baby. heheheh Get ready you are in for the best time of your life.
Enjoy,
Tessa

My daughter use to smile all the time and never had gas. They say?? always wondered who THEY were. LOLL
I found for me that breastfeeding cut down on the blues. I can so relate to just staring at her, I use to do the same thing, like time passed and I didn\'t notice:)
Hugssssssssssssssssss to you both
Love Auntie Kimbers :)
Hi Mommy :)
Breast feeding the baby, that\'s wonderful! I was gonna\' ask you if you planned on it, but I didn\'t want to get too nosey. I breast feed both of mine, for about a yr. It\'s the perfect formula for the baby, it saves buckets of money, plus, it almost seems like an extension of the whole pregnancy, a bonding.
I loved the pictures of you and Ariyah, what a beautiful baby.
Take care of yourself and the baby, Love, Robin
Relax and enjoy this most joyous of times...yes...breast is best...good for you and Ariyah (also according to a breast clinic doctor I saw once, breastfeeding dramatically cuts down a mother\'s risk of breast cancer). Thanks for sharing your first days with us and the pictures are heartwarming. Seems you have been provided a \"guardian\" in your friend....does not happen often.....just be yourself....honest and true...take care and blessings to Ariyah...
