This is the breaking news! I finally, after well over a year, figured out how to put a photo on my profile. Nobody said I was swift!! It was so simple - I sometimes miss what is right in front of me. It is Lisa in Cuba.
I had a lovely Canada Day yesterday. We wandered down to Prince's Island Park, an island in the Bow River in the centre of the city. It is a lovely park where large outdoor events are held. The crowds were phenomenal! In the evening the festivities moved to Olympic Plaza (where the awards were given out when Calgary held the winter Olympics in the 80s). There were bands and fireworks. We went late, mainly for the fireworks. We then had a very late dinner at a Chinese restaurant, on our way home. All in all it was a relaxing day.
It is a lovely summer day today. After the soccer game is over (Joe is watching the Women's games from Germany - the world cup I think) we will go for our customary walk. We have been quite diligent about walking daily.
I wish all my American friends a Happy 4th of July!!
