Autumn Has Arrived
I have decorated for Autumn. My Big Owl is on the front door. The kitchen is all decked out for the season too. I am feeling festive. Here is my Halloween joke: "Why did'nt the Witch like the Ghost? Because he had a Hallo-Weenie..... And on that note, no pun intended, I broke it off with Al. I have not had the "talk" yet. But I see our relationship never going to another level. I mean he has risen just as far as he possibly can. I would like to be invited to his home, he confessed that he is a pack-rat and as he put it, he is like all single men his age, whatever that means. He does not drive. He can't help me fix anything and he does not like to travel. Only to Beatle Conventions. So I think our relationship has run its course. I told him I would call him and he has not contacted me either. Hopefully he will just disappear and I won't have to have "the talk." Now who is passive-aggressive, I hate confrontation. This weekend I will spend some time with my friend Alice, we may take in a movie or just relax on her new living room furniture. Its beautiful. She has a three bedroom apartment with a huge terrace facing the NYC Narrows, she sees all the ships that are coming into the NY harbour. The trees are on fire with color now and today it is in the 50's. Crisp and clean. I feel invigorated. Still taking it a day at a time. Not making any plans yet. Baby steps. Enjoying the simple wonders and blessings that I do have. Life is good! Luv,Ree

I am glad you have decided to move on from your stqagnent relationship! Someone not AL is waiting for you, and without Al you are free tobump into this new and exciting person. Your weekend sounds great. The view from your friends place sounds fabulous! As I get older I find such peace when I stare out onto the water. It is cool in Chicago too and a beautiful and sunny day.
