Yet another international film festival is taking place on our screens this June, the Spanish Film Festival bringing us a selection of 32 films from their country. A few local cinemas are taking place, including the Palace in Balwyn, The Astor in St Kilda, and The Palace Cinema Como in South Yarra, among many more. It’s back, the festival that brings the new and interesting to our stages returns in 2023, kicking off this June 7.

During his time as a student he worked at restaurants as a part-time waiter and he quickly ‘up-skilled’ and self-educated to become a sommelier.
The east-west direction was chosen so as to permit flood water to flow between the rows of vines if the Yarra were again to rise to the flood plain. The microclimate is very favorable for viticulture because the site is wind protected and frost free and the soil drains well. Also, because the vineyard is located far from larger wine growing areas, it is insulated from vineyard diseases, which are endemic in those areas. This enables the grapes to be produced with a minimum of chemical spraying with no insecticides being used in the vineyard. Every couple of months Blackhearts collaborates with a new brewery to produce an interesting, limited-edition brew, while its own Gate Series wines allow you to drink well for $15 or less. Bottle shops in Balwyn tend to vary in what they have in stock. Many bottle shops will provide a large range of very popular beers and wines, however there are many stores which focus on boutique beers and wines for the wine and beer connoisseur.

It’s going to feature awesome names too, you’ll be able to catch music from such performers as Freya Josephine Hollick, the Double Agents, and William Creighton, among many more. Taking place from March 9 until March 13, everyone’s favourite free Melbourne festival returns for a 5-day celebration of food, drinks, fun, and lots more. This year’s king and queen of Moomba are stars of stage and screen, they’re set to be Rob Mills and Rhonda Burchmore. If you’re keen for a bit of a drive, head to the Yackandandah Folk Festival and see music from John Smith, The Burning Hall, and plenty more. Yackandandah Folk Festival is happening from March 24 until March 26 in Yackandandah, an easy 3 and a half hour drive from Melbourne’s CBD.
