August Finally Starting HRT

well I have finally accomplished my next goal in life and I want to thank for the people who has helped me to accomplish it. Yesterday was impressive went up to Chester for my appointment to start my HRT. I spent hours talking to a therapist about my experience growing up,  but it one question that threw me , 'do I hear voices in my head' I thought he was joking even though I knew what he was talking about,  so I jokingly told him yes when people talk to me I hear them in my head, so anyway the other questions he asked sort of hurt about my family,  I told him everything she has done to me and what I tried to accomplish to help with the pain. I was honest with him about being suicidal that u have tempted a couple of times only to have the train to go backwards and the other was having the store mg to talking me down from stopping me from thinking about it.  I told him about the felony charge courtesy of her, telling me that I need to clear it in which I knew plus I want to get a better job. I was glad to hear that I fell into the catagory of identity disorder,  im a classic case of it . Now I have to do a balancing act on how to pay for it , the first 3 months I have to go to PA for the follow-ups,  it will cost me an additional $40 to take the tri and paying for it , which I already have 2 on quest and 2 from the doctors which I'm paying a little each pay week , what ever I have extra I pay more later, plus trying to rebuild my credit being very conservative,  I'm going to try to pay off the computer sooner , to free up  $60 to help pay for the other theropy session to help with the.

There is so much that has to get done,

I am so happy that i am on the hormones, that when i think about it the joy and happiness that i look forward to just makes me break down and cry with tears of joy. Tomarrow marks the one week aniversery of starting the hormones as the week went by i have felt some changes, but briefly like a tingle sensation in one of my chest and i have gained some weight which i dont like so i am going to have to curb my cravings which one factor i didnt have to worry about when i self medicated on just the estergen only. Did not know what kind of a reaction i would get for being on Finesteride. which is only 10mg and 2mg of estrodoil, that wasnt enough to do anything when I was taking the esterfem. Had to up it to 4mg inorder to feel the effects. But I am happy with the progress i have accomplished,

2-4mg of estrogen is about the average in what most take. I am a bit surprised about the finasteride, most are put on other things, but I guess it would work the same way :P On the plus side being on finasteride you wont have to worry about hair loss or prostate issues :P Paying for everything can be a major pain in the rear, even making a decent amount. Often you have to travel quite a way away from your home to get care for it. My hormone doctor, Surgeon, and electrologist were a 2 hour drive away. The gas alone was a nightmare. I am sure you will find a way though, you've made it a long way and have the determination to keep going. The questions the therapist asked were because they had to. One of the requirements for them is to eliminate all other possible reasons you could feel you need to go this route. So they have to eliminate things like Depression, abuse, other mental conditions, medical matters, so on, as the source and be able to show the source of any other issues are a result of the GID. As you continue going to your therapist expect those questions to come up from time to time. They will have to circle back and see if the result is the same. With any luck your mood, selfesteem, confidence has gone up and any depression has gotten better. Do watch for missing your meds. When I first started mine, I forgot them one morning and I swear I ended up in a hulk rage. It gets better as time passes, but right at the start it can get bad. Congrats :D

hello
I agree with u on that subject, right now I'm having problems with getting rid of the hair on my body, it would seem that the stuff Nair that I use is not doing to good of a job leaving stubble or just leaving patches that I have to use a razor
.
question the doctor asked me about implants, I have heard if you get them to soon it could cause an infection that it would have to removed and would mess up your progress, what's your oppinion

Implants are tricky things. I have thought about them for years and recently came to the conclusion that it isn't worth the risks. More to your question, when you get them doesn't really effect the odds of infection really. You are as likely to get them regardless of when you get them. There are factors that can increase risk, like diabetes hair in the area and so on, but most of those can be controlled. The larger concern when it comes to the time is If you went out today and got say C cups. If your breast tissue would have naturally grown to C cups this means that in a couple years you are going to end up with DD cups. Most if not all doctors recommend waiting a full 2 years after starting HRT before getting implants as that is the average time it takes your breasts to fully develop themselves. Other considerations is the implant sickness in which cases some people develop a very serious illness that is a direct result of their body fighting the implant. You can develop a scar pocket around the implant that will make the breasts hard, they can rupture, and then the cost of having to replace them regularly (breast implants shouldn't be kept more than 10 years). My personal thought for right now is that if you want a bit of boobage, look up breast forms. If you can get yourself a nice pair of breast forms designed for someone who has had a mastectomy for the couple years till your boobs grow in on their own, you might be better off. From there just wear modest clothing and no one will know they aren't part of your body. This also may help you with regards to the body hair as well. You're likely to always have some body hair, as do women, but I will tell you from experience that the hormones will lower that. I had really heavy body hair. We are talking like approaching Robin Williams level body hair. By the time I had been on hormones for about a year to a year and a half I pretty well quit needing to worry about it all together. Facial hair will be the only place that will be a pain, it slows way down, but doesn't ever seem to lighten up without intervention. So with all that said, If it were me, I would get a pair of breast forms or get some good enhancer bras and sink the money for implants into facial electrolysis or laser. Your body will take care of your boobs but wont do much for that facial hair. The body hair, I would say give it some time. you might later want to do some electrolysis or laser there too, but id let the hormones do their thing first. Youll be working on the facial electrolysis for a while anyhow.
